Great review This t20 is my 4th robo vac(3 previous roombas)and I've been using it daily for just over a year. 2 dogs and family of 4 it was a game changer for my mostly polished large tiled home but wanted to point out some serious pita flaws. It won't recognise a full onboard dust bin,so continues to vac wasting it's time. If you send it back to station to empty you have to cancel the current clean job, then close the app and reopen it and only then are you given the empty dust bin option. Then send it back to continue cleaning, only now because you cancelled the previous job it will start all over again. Very frustrating! Kiko voice commands are very hit and miss. Washes mopping pads when they have previously been washed only seconds beforehand. Large floor to ceiling mirrored wardrobes have it completely baffled when mapping and all bedrooms have large extra rooms mapped which are simply not there. Only other gripe is the non removable ramp/washing pad tray that is an absolute pita to keep clean. Other than these points it a great machine and well worth the cash,,roll on the t1000 ecovacs terminator model,😂
I've had this model for around 6 months. Good unit but for me even when I selected mop after vacuum it still went over the carpets looking for hard floors rather than remembering which areas to vac. Not sure if they fixed it in an update but I just set custom scenarios for mop or vac. One thing to watch for with the T20 is that it doesn't like going under furniture with obstacle avoidance on. I raised it with ecovacs and its a known issue but no plan to fix it Mines relegated to the upstairs now which is carpet only. I've bought a Dreame L20 for downstairs which I would recommend checking out for a review. It's so much better, but it's also more in the price range of the X2 so it's not a straight up comparison. It doesn't have the hot water mop cleaning though!
Interesting! With mine it isnt doing that, but then i have one rug throughout the entire of the downstairs, and its tucked away around the sofa so maybe its easier for it to understand what it should and shouldn't mop! Annoyingly i dont think theres a way to tell it where a carpet is, i'm pretty sure its all automatic... but i'll look into that! Might be worth an email for feature suggestion to select carpet areas if you can't (admittedly i've never had to try)!
these are a god send, for one i am like yourself, with kids and high work hours the Deebot N8+ won from you is still working great and my old tired one actually went to my mum and dads as they are getting on abit and hoovering was getting difficult. now my old Deebot has a new lease of life at their house and hoovers the carpet amazing, so good infact people asked if they had a new carpet lol. though a self emptying one would be even better for them so if i can find one for these cheap sometime as the scrubbing mops would work perfect on my wooden floors they could have the N8 from me.
Unfortunately too many stairs in my place to make one of these practical, still watched the whole video tho because I just enjoy your videos. Have a good Christmas and thanks for all the videos this year. 🎉
@@StusReviewsUKThat would be awesome. Hard to do, ED209 could never manage it! Been great watching your videos through out the year and looking forward to seeing what new content you’ll have in the new year.
Hi Stu, Thank you so much for your review! Our Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo 950 is broken down. We are looking for an new one. Does the Deebot T20 Omni mop norwegian slate?
This trend of removing buttons seems logical since I started to see advertisements in the Ecovacs app. Hopefully Ecovacs does not start like Chamberlain and stays accessible via third party apps
Unfortunately, Amazon won’t ship many robovacs to Ireland due to the restrictions in shipping batteries. We are therefore left with high street pricing on a limited range :(
I purchased T20 earlier this week. Perhaps due to omission of camera, the mapping has errors. The robot loses track and keeps omitting certain places and duplicating others. Nearly a third of floor area in all rooms has furniture. The robot system is too high. It requires extra tall legs of all tables and chairs. It does not enter below most of the chairs and tables in the room. The sensory system does not give command in time, hence the robot gets stuck between 2 legs of chairs because the machine diameter is nearly same as the space between legs.Design could have been 1 inch less diameter of the robot. The system gets stuck repeatedly and calls for help. Creates too high noise, specially when cleaning the mops. My children (under age 2 years) literally feel scared and wake up. To top these shortcomings, the system has been delivered by Amazon with NO WARRANTY terms. Despite repeated requests no one comes for help to guide in installation and explain the programming, mapping options and management. It they do not help in week one after purchase, I doubt if they would provide any service in future and resolve complaints. I am worried if the system will last. Looks like, it will need spares very frequently and with such a poor network in India, the tool will be junk in a few months. I have faced no positive response in Chandigarh area.
Had one for about 6 months. It’s been reliable, much more reliable than my Roomba J7+ and Roborock S8, which had to go back. I don’t miss the water tank as the pads get wet when it goes back to wash them periodically anyway. And the tanks are often a point of failure too. However if I was buying again I don’t think I would get the T20. Partly because the app is a bit rubbish, partly the fact the roller is the worst I have ever encountered for getting tangled up with our dogs hair… but mainly the edge cleaning is UTTERLY SHITE. Sorry, but this thing is an absolute joke when it comes to getting close to walls. Sometimes it’s great when vacuuming, but very often it’s 6 inches away (and when mopping it leaves a big gap every time). So it will do for now, but in a couple of years I will have to get something better.
Had to send my one back. Reliability was TERRIBLE. Lasted nearly 3 months and in that time it had multiple failures. Gave up. Moved to Dreams L20 - let’s so how that one goes.

I await Stu reviewing cleaning products such as Vim, Ajax, Brillo Pads, Domestos... lets not forget the old cleaning technology :)

I can't wait for the day one of these companies solves the problem of stairs 😂! Thanks for tuning in this year - it means the world!! 🥃

Very informative video. Have you reviewed the new Eufy X9 pro?
Not yet but it’s on my list!

But can it clean wet sugar?
Nothing can clean up wet sugar. Not even me. Might as well move house. I think thats what paul had to do...

Really??? Is there no service where you can get it shipped to NI and then some sort of cross border service to Ireland?
@@StusReviewsUK Any I know of wound up at Brexit. If anyone knows of solutions let me know :). Great content by the way.
