Might be easier to just move the latch mechanism down once the door is where it will be. We had to move our garage door latch from one side to the other… easier to drill self-tapping holes on the door itself than try to increase the hole size in the frame, imo

My water is right out of the tap. It has a hardness around 18. No complaints.
