He’s never not been a good coach in terms of defense, it’s his offensive skills that are lacking. Even when the Jets were butt fumbling, Revis island existed at that time due in part to Rex Ryan’s defensive schemes. When you look at defensive coordinators as a whole, they don’t have much success making the leap to head coach, and that’s because offenses are much more complex to plan out
3:13 “the greatest returner of interceptions for touchdowns” and we draft ed reed next year who becomes the greatest returner of interceptions of all time!
@@Sp00ken and that’s fair as an all around returner in general! That pick in the playoffs against Miami in 2008 was the best interception I seen from him personally from the over the shoulder catch to cutting it up and scoring!
The Ravens have a 108 yd pick six, 103 yd pick six, a 98 yd pick six and a 108 yd kick return in the SB, and a game winning blocked FG return touchdown on MNF. They are a truly ELECTRIC franchise
When you think of defense in the NFL, you think of the Baltimore Ravens. The 2000 Ravens had the greatest defensive season in NFL history allowing only 10.3ppg and won the Superbowl. *Fun fact- Of the 28 years the Ravens have been a franchise they have finished top 10 in defense in 20 of those years, And top 5 (in either pts allowed or yards allowed) in 14 of those seasons. Lets go Ravens. What more can be said...
@@kcroyal5249 The 85 bears allowed 198 points that season, the 2000 ravens allowed 165 points, and even though the bears allowed only 10 points in their 3 playoff games the ravens allowed 16 points in 4 playoff games with 7 of those points being the kick return touchdown the giants scored in the Superbowl which wasn't against the defense but was against the special teams, so technically 9 points(3 field goals) allowed in 4 playoff games.
That game in 2010 or 2011 with Baltimore against the jets tells me that this defense can score. Which is insane! Counted 3 defensive touchdowns in that game.
I can’t believe how lucky I am to have grown up watching the Rex Ryan defenses. I couldn’t fathom how good we had it at the time.
The best defense ever. (2000' Ravens)

Maybe not the greatest but second in line for sure! Behind rod woodson
In my opinion, I would say Ed Reed over Rod Woodson for Interception Returns
Rod Woodson the greatest returner of interceptions for touchdowns.
Ed Reed- Hold my beer

Ozzie is a genius.
Ravens Are The Bad Boys Of Defense 😊😊
Rod Woodson is the second best Safety in Ravens history.
That says it all. Amazing how many studs the Ravens have had in a fairly short time.
Wonder how many retired QBs get PTSD episodes because of Ed Reed
definitely Palmer. he ran to AZ like Fresh Prince
I know Peyton Manning has it,too.

Wrong its the 85 bears

Legendary Defense of All Time Baltimore Ravens
Great video, thank you for putting this together!! RavensFlock
Absolute magnets.
Chris McAlister was really good! Best Ravens Corner ever.
Dude I really hope your account blows up, I’ve watched some of your vids and you put in a lot of effort, never give up dude
Thanks man I appreciate that, I’m not looking for any subs or anything. I’m just a fan that is annoyed nobody else has done this!
"Drew Brees... Ooh, almost took a safety, instead throws a touchdown on the interception!" is an absolute 10/10 booth call...
Dick Enberg with the call!
Between 1998 to 2012, the Ravens either had Rod Woodson or Ed Reed in their secondary. Damn.
Mike Caldwell is someone I never heard of who played for the ravens.. he was the first defensive TD on their history. I wouldn't have got that one
He used to be a defense coordinator a few years ago with the jaguars I believe, I never realized he was on our team either lol
Ray lewis grabbing eddie George lunch was a good one
I love this video. Brings back some good memories.

Dick Emberg with the Uh,Oh my! after Ray Lewis gets the pick six against Tennessee's Steve McNair in the playoffs.
Another great video! Those Rex Ryan defenses were OP with the defensive touchdowns
Thank you for compiling this 🙏
Amazing, half of Rod Woodsons tds were for the Ravens
This right here! Is Ravens football!!
lol Yo I Just Peeped The Two Fumble Recoveries That Happen In 18’ & 19’ Were Similar 😂 Even With Judon Leading The Returner
I didn’t know rod woodson had this many pick sixes sheesh
Anytime Ed Reed fumbles it's just really a lateral.
Chad Williams made a lot of plays for the Ravens between 03-05.
He’s one of the most underrated Raven of all time!
Go ravens🐦⬛💜
Ed Reed made things look too easy.
A All sacks in Ravens History video will feed families👀👀🔥🔥
I never knew till now that ed reed and mccalister played on the same ravens teams at some point
After watching that pump fake clip from Ben, wonder how the tuck rule didn't apply there?
Rex Ryan Is A Defensive Mind Coach with his Defensive Philosophy and Schemes
Let's go ravens
14:26 & 14:45 why. Just why did you have to pull these clips up?
Never knew Rod Woodson was a Raven
No team has highlights like us. Nooooooobody
You forgot the pick-six by Chuck Clark against the Rams in 2021. I know there's so many of these but hey, it happens.
