    I also make my own nut butters, peanut, hazel, cashew, walnut, almond, pistachio in fact any nuts you can buy. Even my own Nutella! Yummmm!!! You can freeze the nut butters - I use cup cake cases to do this so can take out just what I need. Sometimes I add honey to some. If I want a crunchie nut butter just need to add chopped nuts to the mix. It will thicken up in the fridge as the oils rise to the top. Sometimes I will mix the oil back in but others I pour it off and freeze and save it for cooking. Oh! Oh! I feel the need to order some more nuts make some nut butters. 😊😊

    Woot. Macaron Master Dane!
    Friendly reminder to mention that the oven is fan-assisted. I'm not sure everyone knows to set their home non-fan assisted ovens twenty-ish degrees c higher than a fan assisted +20c. (195c)

    Oh my goodness! This looks devine! Do you think this would be nice in a raspberry and white chocolate cake? Would it better to mix into the cake batter or used as a filling. Thanks!!

    • @lillysmith4040
      @lillysmith4040 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Use it for the filling, mix it with whipped cream or make a pistachio custard with it.
      It'd change the composition of the batter.

    That time I heated up my food processor doing an almond and pistachio butter 😂 I had to wait for it to cool down.... Also I manage to keep my nut butters for many weeks on in a simple jam jar. Nuts take time so go bad so nut butter as well. For those having a thick consistency, you can add a little coconut oil (unflavored preferably) to you desire consistency. Works with oil too but the 2 will separate in the jar so you have to mix before use.

      I've used a different recipe but the directions are the same. I also had the same problem. In order to get it to that consistency I had to add some olive oil. I just started with a few drops, blended, mixed the mixture to see the consistency and continued until I got the desired consistency...

    DIDN'T TURN TO PASTE! I just attempted to make this and my Pistachios turned into a solid dry paste....I had blanched the nuts to remove the shells but perhaps it dried them out!...I added a bunch of grapeseed oil to try and save the paste, hopefully I can still use it to make the Macaroons 🥲

    This has been my problem in the past whenever I've tried to make nut butters - I've not been blitzing enough. It doesn't help when recipes give only a time (often not long enough!) and not a description of how the texture should change. I've got some hazelnuts in the cupboard... time to try again?
