Whenever TH-camrs want to increase numbers for their video, they always say, “ The tragic death” or “ Horrible End.” This is nothing but Clickbait,; I ignore it every time, and you should too.
I started this channel in 2007. In 2015 I came up with the title "The Life and Sad Ending®" which I have legally trademarked. After my tremendous success a barrage of imitators started making videos making you think that living celebrities had died. I have never done that. I feel the title is not clickbait since everyone, even me, has a life and sad ending.
@@TheLifeandSadEnding Thank you for your response. While everyone has an ending, not everyone has a sad ending which implies something tragic or unexpected. A person who lives a normal lifespan, and dies of natural causes surrounded by loving family and friends is not a sad death, but a natural part of life. Most people who see “sad ending” will assume something tragic happened, and will “click “to find out what sad ending precipitated the death.
@@TheLifeandSadEndingahh but you must remember the line from Robert Redford when he played death on the twilight zone. He told the old lady: What you thought was the end is only the beginning.
ALL of these people are still "alive" as long as we remember them. History exists in the timeline. Our children and grandchildren only exist because we were.
@@giovanniserafino1731 ... Thats not fair Mr Giovanni. The author accurately describe his video. No click bait here. Ive seen a lot worse click bait. He described what actually happened to "Floyd" and no quams about it.
He was certain very funny in his role. I'm glad Andy found a way to keep Howard McNeer on the show as long as he could. May the both RIP 🙏
The fact that everyone around him wanted him for his talent says everything about Howard. Floyd the barber is a legend because of his character and his acting skills.
You didn't delve into Howard's personal life too much, but he created a great character in 1960's TV.
Thanks!
I am surprised to learn that ‘Floyd’ was only 63 when he passed. I thought he was much older. Great character and actor…. RIP, Howard.
Yes, as a person OVER 63, I hate to hear someone who died at that age.
[edit: fix typo]
What a fine actor and so funny on Andy Griffith. Thanks for his story. He is missed.
Who can forget Floyd. I didn't realize he was that young 😢😢
He definitely was one of the hardest working guys in radio & TV. I liked Howard.
Floyd was always a favorite of mine. Great job Howard McNear. Thanks for the laughs.
_Thanks for the laughs._
So very important! Life is too short to be miserable, so l'm glad for the people who give us a laugh or two.
This is strange. I JUST THIS MORNING finished reading Andy & Don, a wonderful book about the show. The info about Floyd was so sad. Lord, I'm going to be 63 in a couple months. You just never know. Anyway nice dedication here Steve.
There are so many good characters on Andy Griffith but Floyd's one of my favorites.
Howard, "Floyd the barber", added so much to the AGS, he would start off talking and soon of off task and never knew where he was going to end, He was so funny in the 3 escaped convicts where he said "I won't be responsible if the burgers burn" then throws up his hands....still cracks me up today! hats off to a fellow vet, thank you "Floyd" for all the great shows.
Howard was a unique man who just demanded to be watched. Thank you Steve.
Floyd, what an amazing character. Thank for the video!
Perhaps it was the effects of his first stroke, but he appeared to look a lot older when he returned to the Andy Griffith show. He put in a lot of work before he left this world. R.I.P.
Fond memories of listening to my favorite radio program, Gunsmoke.
My absolute favorite radio actor. He could play anything. And he was in demand to play in all of the "big" named stars' shows. Check out the Six Shooter episode where he plays Marley in a Christmas episode. Or Suspense where he plays numerous characters. A Giant.
Wow, what great info! I never knew that.
Thanks Steve. I had one of those Pink Floyd shirts back in the early 80's.
His character on Andy Griffith was amazing- so good and interesting about his stroke.
I just watched your video. I had to laugh when you said he reminds you of Bob Dylan. You're right from the way he mumble when talks. He had a strange but funny way he talked. I am still laughing from that!
I love how you can pack so much information into 5 minutes!
I try.
Great job on this video.
Love your videos I am binge-watching all the ones I haven't seen thank you
Yay! Thank you!
I personally never cared for his characters but he was obviously a talented actor and lots of people enjoyed him.... That said Rest in Peace Floyd the Barber 🙏
Thank you ❤ luv Floyd and The Hawaii movie , forgot about that roll, lol 🎭📺📽⭐️🎬 I’m his age then 😳😇😊
I miss those years
Very funny man on Andy Griffith show
This is one of my fav chans.
Thanks!
I enjoyed listening to old time radio, always a treat when I hear his voice on something other than gunsmoke. It's hard to carry him on Johnny Dollar and not think of him as doc Adams though. 🙂
He was a good character on the show and funny. Gone too soon for sure.
On Leave it to beaver,Eddie Haskel and some of the guys were teasing Wally about shaving,so Mr Cleaver took him to the barber shop for a shave while they all watched, and Howard Mcnear was the barber.
That was interesting. As a fan of the old Andy Griffith show, I of course remember Floyd the Barber.
It was interesting he died in Sylmar. Naturally that's the location of the '71 earthquake, and that Veterans hospital was totalled in that quake.
He was my dad's favorite on the show.
Rest in peace Mr Floyd McCair God Bless 🙏 to you and your families 😊❤
Now that you've got me thinking about it, I wonder if it might be worth doing a little rundown on the rest of the cast of Gunsmoke; or did you already do Parley Baer? And then there were all those voices, the character actors who made the rounds from from week to week from Richard Diamond to the six shooter etc? 🤔🙂👏🙏
McNear looks like a fellow Cop I worked with in Baltimore.
I remember him for the acting he did on T.V. he was one of a kind beloved bay everyone. Howard McNear.🏹👨🏼🦼➡️
I give him credit for pressing on, but you could see he was struggling in those later episodes.
Howard was great as Doc on gunsmoke
I liked his band Pink Floyd!
He sure was a talent. So many men died early in those days due to lack of regular doctor's visits like we do much more routinely today. Many men ran around with high blood pressure and only realized it when they had a heart attack or stroke. Things are much more preventative oriented today as opposed to attributing premature illness and death as some act of god,
Loved your last comment. Totally understand. Lol
🙏🙏
Please upload the life and sad ending of Gary shandling
Was the thumbnail choice intentional? Funny none the less, pink with Floyd.
Hey Steve will there be a 2024 update soon. Since last time we’ve lost Dabney Coleman,Morgan Spurlock,Chance Perdomo,Roberto Cavalli,Robert MacNeil,Roger Corman,Sam Rubin,Steve Albini,Bernard Hill,Duane Eddy,Dickey Betts,OJ Simpson and Lou Gossett Jr
Noted, Thanks
Was that William Conrad, of Cannon fame, in the Gunsmoke photo?
Yes that was him!
I liked the cast of Gunsmoke on the radio version much better than the TV cast
Basically everyone has a sad ending cause you know, they die
Exactly.
Floyd rules!
The pinned Dude does a great job 'ignoring'... Eh folks???
neither howard nor bob can sing that is the tie
In any case I like them both. Thanks!
Kurt Cobain and his band Nirvana made a song about Floyd the Barber in their album Bleach. Look it up 😉
it's one of my favorite songs. as soon as i saw the thumbnail, i heard the intro in my head. it's like Floyd's theme if the Andy Griffith show was a horror movie!
🤗🥰🇵🇱PL
It always seems to be the 'Sad Ending ' of famous people, They brought joy to generations of people ,How about let us remember Em for that.
Ok. Your wish is my command.th-cam.com/video/ycXAwQHmjzA/w-d-xo.html
Couldn't stomach that show.
Perhaps Howard had true barber skills. Strokes are way too mean.
Mushrooms.
Bob Dylan???
My attempt at humor. It's not you it's me.
@@TheLifeandSadEnding Don't think twice, it's alright.
Now that's funny. You had to top me!

What's up with the clickbait putting Pink Floyd on your title
It's a joke. And clickbait, two mints in one with retsyn.
There was T-shirt back in the late 70's and early 80's that was hot pink with a picture of Floyd on it. Everyone called it the Pink Floyd shirt.
Let's see. You're looking at a picture of Floyd the barber, and see a Pink Floyd sign on this guys' channel, and you think you're gonna see Pink Floyd? Dude, it's the Life and Sad Ending channel!!!! Speaking of life, how 'bout you get one!!!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@Dave-lq2le been a douche long or is it your life story
@@TheLifeandSadEndingcerts! Are they still made? I don’t think so, maybe you can do a life and sad ending for Certs!
Anyone beside me think that when Floyd was hit in the head with the flower pot by one pf the female convicts it could have caused his first stroke ????
My dad told me he was the first openly gay character on tv. I said really dad? Think about it son, hair stylist, flamboyant mannerisms and an unusual way of speaking. Not to mention he avoided the ladies. Mens cuts only. 😂
Madeline Grayson was a woman. And in the 60's barbershops did not cater to women. Floyd was a barber, not a hair stylist.
