They removed most of the game just to add it as season DLC, which is why we have very few maps and weapons. They made some dumb decisions this game, like having separate camo/reticle challenges for multiplayer and Zombies. Like why? Just combine them so the challenges are either/or so people can truly progress unilaterally.

Because headshots require less skill than you think. 1v1 gunfight, I react quicker and shoot you first but you flinch and kill me because of a headshot. Nobody actually aims for headshots either because the risk of a smaller target is not worth the reward of one extra shot. Headshot multiplier should be either one tap kill or no multiplier at all, in between is dumb

I really hate that they’re once again changing headshot multipliers. One of the nice things with more health is that headshots reward accuracy. They did the same thing with BO4. Also find it annoying when devs try to artificially create a meta. If they had left the AK & Kroger alone, made the changes you suggested to the Aug/M16, left those SMGs alone, shotguns with slightly less nerfs, and gave snipers actual flinch so that they’re not on target after putting a bunch of bullets into a player...that would be damn near perfect balance not counting anything I might be forgetting. I like being able to use any weapon at any time and not have it hinder myself because it’s not the meta.
Sadly, they want the noobs to not worry about headshots. They want little Timmy buying skins and BP levels. Sad, but the unfortunate truth of video games now.
I agree with snipers needing more flinch but I find that it’s rare headshots have anything to do with the players aim. A majority of the time I die to headshots it’s from lucky spray and not intentional aim. I just hate how I laser a dude in the body and get first shot but all the other player needs is a lucky bullet to hit my head off hipfire and I somehow lose the gunfight

The individuals who are watching Ace are basically only people who are somewhat descent at online shooter games and like to know the technically behind some weapons, attachments and etc. If Ace switched up his content (Which he shouldn't!) and turn over to more of a Dysmo genre, he would be getting subscribers a lot faster as the audience for that genre is a lot larger.
Re: the visibility issues, I believe a lot of it stems from the names not showing beyond mid-range-ish, and significantly shorter than what we're used to. That, I suspect, is intentionally done to justify the existence/necessity of the flashlight attachments. Would be interesting to see you compare previous COD visibility versus Cold War visibility, both with and without flashlight attachments.
Burst gun nerf was a joke. The fact that you can shoot someone in the legs with three bullets and get an instant kill is stupid they need to make it a one burst of you get a head shot with one bullet or like you said an upper torso shot

No this is statistically speaking if both players hit all shots you will never win a gun fight. I don't argue that you can't have good games with a gun that factually gets outclassed by the other Assult Rifles but you are definitely at a disadvantage and if you learn how to control recoil these laser accurate guns lose their niche and become obsolete.

EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW THIS: playing gunfight split screen will let the second player see an outline of all players through walls so if you see 2 ppl in gunfight playing together with wall hacks they might be just playing split screen
Going back to Modern Warfare I noticed that probably one of the problems with visibility is that in Modern Warfare you had a deep red circle right above the character models head with nice deep red name plates. The red marker in MainPlace would show through explosions dust and in darkness. We barely have any of that in Cold War and at least for me the red markers that we do get are almost more like light pink

I completely agree with the M16 and the Aug still needing more of a nerf, but maybe only in core multiplayer, if they are nerfed too much nobody will use them within warzone when they can grab a full auto and get the job done easier. I feel like they need to address flinch to sniper rifles better. For example if I’m sniping someone and I get shot I think it’s only fair that I’d have more of a traditional flinch like in previous cod’s. It would make quick scoping still usable when getting the first shot off but you could compete against it if you react faster and hit them first with a few rounds because the flinch could throw off their aim. Quick scoping is OP and it kills faster than everything at every distance.
idk if its just me, but the m82 now has even more recoil, or more visible recoil, you shoot once with all the attachments on and you're looking at the ceiling
The microtransaction system and the matchmaking system are two completely different things. Because of this, even if Activision, Treyarch or whoever else you want to blame did take this boycott seriously, since you’re protesting the cosmetics and microtransactions, that’s what’ll end up changing. Not the thing you actually want. The best way to protest or boycott SBMM is to not play at all whether you bought the game or not. SBMM can’t work if their player numbers significantly drop. All that protesting the battle pass will do is make an already fairly consumer friendly practice even more consumer friendly.
I'd say that sounds about right. About the only thing the battle passes give is weapon blueprints and some cosmetic stuff, so I don't see much reason to boycott that; at least it's not like the loot boxes in days of yore, which actually could give variations of guns with stats that could potentially throw things out of wack.
The change to flak jacket is a joke and the Barrett should be a one shot kill to the body, nevermind the upper torso, its a massive caliber weapon compared to the Tundra, and they've just equalised it despite the slower ads time. So it's still the worst sniper. This patch is absolute bs imo
The reduction of headshot damage was the same thing Treyarch did in Black Ops 4. At first, it was advertised that "headshots matter", then at the first balancing patch, headshots mattered less. I don't know why this change needs to be done.
@@TroppoZump 4 round burst is not 3 round burst. If a burst weapon doesnt have the potential to kill in one burst, it’s shit. The problem is every weapon in this game has basically been balanced to do less damage (like bo4) thanks to 150 health. However, quick one shot kills or burst weapons literally stayed at the same levels of strength (though snipers are affected more by bullet velocity). Bo1 m16 and g11 were perfectly balanced guns because other weapons would kill you at a very similar speed but not quite as quick if you got the first shot off and landed the full burst.
Wow I'm really happy I was able to complete all the 'KILLER' challenges before this update. Not having to worry about getting a bunch of mercilesses gives me peace of mind.

Now add flinch to snipers.. putting pressure on them with hits on target is exactly how you fight them. Now the gun fight is 100% up to them, nothing the non sniper can do but run away or hope they miss.
The xp rate for leveling feels extremely slow for the early levels. Was there a change to that or is that how all the prestige levels are supposed to be?
I know that as a whole the burst rifles one bursting at all was very frustrating, but I actually am very excited about the lack of 2 shot potential on the aug, I found it to be a very frequent occurrence when playing somebody with the aug. Once or twice a game usually I would notice getting near instantly killed. I would think I had gotten sniped. Sure enough I was just getting headshotted by an aug, occasionally when I would just happen to slide or sprint by their sight while they were shooting somebody else which was incredibly frustrating.
First I wanna say thank you for the amazing work you do and help the second is that cod has said in one of there briefings that they practically only care about the new players coming into the game and will continue to cater to them leaving the people who have been here for years to wonder why they play if the problems they have wont really be addressed. On a side note things are bad when some popular youtubers wont play the game such as wildcat fourzeroseven and others I also have been hearing some people breaking there contracts with cod to speak out against them this year
@@Trykzzz I would agree if it was a more tactical game from the start. However if I play on Satellite I can sometimes barely see enemies against the rocks in the middle of the map because the colors just blend in too well. Adding character illumination would help in darker areas, but I'm not sure what would help in cases like I mentioned.
I think ace has a good take on the 3 round bursts, nerf them in a way that just makes a 1 burst kill a little harder to get than normal but still let it have a good level of 1 burst potential, because that's sorta the purpose of using a burst is for quick kills and ammo reserve
I'm disappointed that they moved the field mic immunity to spy craft. It just made more sense since it silences your footsteps and the field mic picks up footsteps. Lastly it would be nice if they brought back the hidden name plate and health bar on cold blooded, its not the same since black ops 3 if I'm not mistaken
I like ace. But I don't play cold war. It's such a step back from modern warfare. They should've delayed the launch and used the same engine as modern warfare.
I'm getting bored of cold war due to lack of content but the gameplay for me is superior to MW which just felt slow and clunky. It looked gorgeous but I dont care about that if the gameplay is shit.

If the AUG and M16 weren’t always 1 bursts I think they would probably really suck. My friends and I discussed this in depth and thought needs to the burst delay would be a good fit and I’m glad that’s what they went with for this first nerf iteration. It’s fine for an M16/AUG to win a gunfight once, it’s just not fine for them to mow through an entire team super fast, like they did before.

Same here. Freezes for a split second every 30 seconds or so, on all game modes, even zombies. Even crashed the game. Got me killed a few times already in mp. Tried disabling Ray tracing, but doesn't help. Hope the devs are aware and fix it soon.
I'm generally pleased with this patch. The one that sticks out to me is the Krig nerf, however. It's very rare that lowering headshot multipliers is a good change imo and with the Krig it's especially bad!
The m82 had its felt recoil increased a lot, not buffed. They may have lowered the recoil for individual bullets but they dialed the centering speed way back which is just as important as the actual recoil stat as it effectively reduces recoil. For example, the rpd has super awful recoil judging by the recoil stat, but it has the highest centering speed in the game and centering speed completely overwhelms the recoil once you add recoil-reducing attachments turning it into a laser.
So the Aug is still one burst kill, Snipers still haven’t been buffed, they didn’t revert the knife animation nerf, SMGs still outgun ARs, and they nerfed the Krig for some reason. It’s like they have no idea what we actually want.
It sure was very nice of Treyarch to remove the Black Ops soundtrack from the base game just to add it to the Battlepass.

The krig diddnt need a nerf. It rewarded good aim, whereas now there isn’t really any reason to use it over an xm4 or an ak47.
Yeah this was an unnecessary nerf. It was already in a good place. This is why I don’t trust treyarch when it comes to balancing weapons.

No this is statistically speaking if both players hit all shots you will never win a gun fight.
I don't argue that you can't have good games with a gun that factually gets outclassed by the other Assult Rifles but you are definitely at a disadvantage and if you learn how to control recoil these laser accurate guns lose their niche and become obsolete.
Went from getting one-bursted with the m16/aug all the time, to getting one-bursted with both of those guns AND the ksp45. Great job, Treyarch!

What I hate about the burst rifles are that they can just 1 burst you across the map with no recoil.
Should have reduces the hip fire accuracy of dual wielded Magnums.
Hey, just be glad they don't have an attachment that effectively turns them into pocket shotguns like in MW2019 with the .38 snake shot.

Weirdly enough, I loved the M60, so the fact the gave small buffs here and there makes it so much more enticing to use.
I hate when treyarch reduces headshot multipliers, i think they do weapon balancing horrible, i think how infinity ward and sledgehammer handle it by nerfing guns but not destroying it is better, making headshots useless after a nerf and its honestly kinda bad cuz u wanna kill fast by aiming better (at the head)
EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW THIS: playing gunfight split screen will let the second player see an outline of all players through walls so if you see 2 ppl in gunfight playing together with wall hacks they might be just playing split screen
They definitely need to reduce the 3 shot kill range of the burst guns.
Going back to Modern Warfare I noticed that probably one of the problems with visibility is that in Modern Warfare you had a deep red circle right above the character models head with nice deep red name plates. The red marker in MainPlace would show through explosions dust and in darkness.
We barely have any of that in Cold War and at least for me the red markers that we do get are almost more like light pink

I agree with the upper torso multiplier on burst gun as but most players don’t care if it takes precision to get a fast kill and will still get frustrated (look at how people react to snipers)
TLDR: Krig got headshot damage nerf, famas got range and recoil buff, aug and m16 are still OP
I completely agree with the M16 and the Aug still needing more of a nerf, but maybe only in core multiplayer, if they are nerfed too much nobody will use them within warzone when they can grab a full auto and get the job done easier. Just my thoughts, but yes they definitely need a little more adjusting for multiplayer. Wasn’t expecting a video to pop up while waiting on the update, thanks for the info!!

I feel like they need to address flinch to sniper rifles better. For example if I’m sniping someone and I get shot I think it’s only fair that I’d have more of a traditional flinch like in previous cod’s. It would make quick scoping still usable when getting the first shot off but you could compete against it if you react faster and hit them first with a few rounds because the flinch could throw off their aim. Quick scoping is OP and it kills faster than everything at every distance.
idk if its just me, but the m82 now has even more recoil, or more visible recoil, you shoot once with all the attachments on and you're looking at the ceiling

The microtransaction system and the matchmaking system are two completely different things. Because of this, even if Activision, Treyarch or whoever else you want to blame did take this boycott seriously, since you’re protesting the cosmetics and microtransactions, that’s what’ll end up changing. Not the thing you actually want. The best way to protest or boycott SBMM is to not play at all whether you bought the game or not. SBMM can’t work if their player numbers significantly drop. All that protesting the battle pass will do is make an already fairly consumer friendly practice even more consumer friendly.
I'd say that sounds about right. About the only thing the battle passes give is weapon blueprints and some cosmetic stuff, so I don't see much reason to boycott that; at least it's not like the loot boxes in days of yore, which actually could give variations of guns with stats that could potentially throw things out of wack.

for characters visibility, changing the enemy color red to a flashy green will improve the reaction time to see an enemy ;)
The change to flak jacket is a joke and the Barrett should be a one shot kill to the body, nevermind the upper torso, its a massive caliber weapon compared to the Tundra, and they've just equalised it despite the slower ads time. So it's still the worst sniper. This patch is absolute bs imo
The reduction of headshot damage was the same thing Treyarch did in Black Ops 4. At first, it was advertised that "headshots matter", then at the first balancing patch, headshots mattered less. I don't know why this change needs to be done.

Getting one bursted in the toe is a bit frustrating so I totally agree that they should only be a three shot kill in the torso, even the upper torso.
Why didn't they just make the aug and the m16 a four-shot-kill and boosted the burst delay so the ttk wouldn't be shit.

look at bo3, the m8a7 was balanced cause it was a 4 round burst gun anyway.
@@TroppoZump 4 round burst is not 3 round burst. If a burst weapon doesnt have the potential to kill in one burst, it’s shit. The problem is every weapon in this game has basically been balanced to do less damage (like bo4) thanks to 150 health. However, quick one shot kills or burst weapons literally stayed at the same levels of strength (though snipers are affected more by bullet velocity). Bo1 m16 and g11 were perfectly balanced guns because other weapons would kill you at a very similar speed but not quite as quick if you got the first shot off and landed the full burst.
Wow I'm really happy I was able to complete all the 'KILLER' challenges before this update. Not having to worry about getting a bunch of mercilesses gives me peace of mind.

The xp rate for leveling feels extremely slow for the early levels. Was there a change to that or is that how all the prestige levels are supposed to be?

I know that as a whole the burst rifles one bursting at all was very frustrating, but I actually am very excited about the lack of 2 shot potential on the aug, I found it to be a very frequent occurrence when playing somebody with the aug. Once or twice a game usually I would notice getting near instantly killed. I would think I had gotten sniped. Sure enough I was just getting headshotted by an aug, occasionally when I would just happen to slide or sprint by their sight while they were shooting somebody else which was incredibly frustrating.

First I wanna say thank you for the amazing work you do and help the second is that cod has said in one of there briefings that they practically only care about the new players coming into the game and will continue to cater to them leaving the people who have been here for years to wonder why they play if the problems they have wont really be addressed. On a side note things are bad when some popular youtubers wont play the game such as wildcat fourzeroseven and others I also have been hearing some people breaking there contracts with cod to speak out against them this year

Theyre not going to touch visibility. Thats what the flashlight attachments are for. Sucks but I think its a fair gameplay mechanic to consider.

However if I play on Satellite I can sometimes barely see enemies against the rocks in the middle of the map because the colors just blend in too well. Adding character illumination would help in darker areas, but I'm not sure what would help in cases like I mentioned.

I think ace has a good take on the 3 round bursts, nerf them in a way that just makes a 1 burst kill a little harder to get than normal but still let it have a good level of 1 burst potential, because that's sorta the purpose of using a burst is for quick kills and ammo reserve

I'm disappointed that they moved the field mic immunity to spy craft. It just made more sense since it silences your footsteps and the field mic picks up footsteps. Lastly it would be nice if they brought back the hidden name plate and health bar on cold blooded, its not the same since black ops 3 if I'm not mistaken
I like ace. But I don't play cold war. It's such a step back from modern warfare. They should've delayed the launch and used the same engine as modern warfare.

If the AUG and M16 weren’t always 1 bursts I think they would probably really suck. My friends and I discussed this in depth and thought needs to the burst delay would be a good fit and I’m glad that’s what they went with for this first nerf iteration. It’s fine for an M16/AUG to win a gunfight once, it’s just not fine for them to mow through an entire team super fast, like they did before.
The new update makes it super laggy and glitchy on my PS5. It keeps on freezing.

Same here. I thought it was just my network but it was laggy af and thought the game crashed when it froze for over 5 seconds.
Same here. Freezes for a split second every 30 seconds or so, on all game modes, even zombies. Even crashed the game. Got me killed a few times already in mp. Tried disabling Ray tracing, but doesn't help. Hope the devs are aware and fix it soon.
I'm generally pleased with this patch. The one that sticks out to me is the Krig nerf, however. It's very rare that lowering headshot multipliers is a good change imo and with the Krig it's especially bad!
The burst rifle nerf was very underwhelming

The m82 had its felt recoil increased a lot, not buffed. They may have lowered the recoil for individual bullets but they dialed the centering speed way back which is just as important as the actual recoil stat as it effectively reduces recoil. For example, the rpd has super awful recoil judging by the recoil stat, but it has the highest centering speed in the game and centering speed completely overwhelms the recoil once you add recoil-reducing attachments turning it into a laser.

So the Aug is still one burst kill, Snipers still haven’t been buffed, they didn’t revert the knife animation nerf, SMGs still outgun ARs, and they nerfed the Krig for some reason. It’s like they have no idea what we actually want.
