In Sweden, we would call it April väder (April weather) the sun might finally be showing up, and then you get hit by a hailstorm, snow, rain, and strong winds in a matter of days or hours. :P
Those mountain roads are an experience. My foreign friends are usually scared shitless when we drive up and down the mountains - and most get sick because they're not used to so many hairpin turns in a row. Quite some G-forces involved there. Even with lots of experience I get a bit dizzy after an hour or two. In some places, there's just a 2 yard sidewalk and a flimsy railing between you and an overhanging rock face that goes down into a deep lake or a valley. I've also noticed something when I drove down Highway 1 on a visit to the States: I was driving much faster and more aggressive than the Americans on the serpentine parts along the cliffs, and constantly had a feeling they're a bit scared of the turns. I was well within the speed limits, but they usually slowed down to 20 mph before a moderately sharp turn with a "30" sing that I would have taken at 40-50 mph in Switzerland. Looking back, I hope I didn't annoy them too much. Americans are such polite drivers compared to all Europeans I know including ourselves. I really enjoyed driving over there.
To be fair when talking nuclear power. Our reactors are already very old, so it might not be too long till it's too expensive to keep them safe (which would obviously mean deactivating + probably deconstructing them) and it's outlawed to build new reactors so we probably won't keep them around for too long. Also they aren't renewable. At least carbon-neutral, but still far from an ideal power source XD).
yeah but they are still one of the best and most efficient power sources we currently have. I just hope in the next decade fusion power finally takes off. that would be an ideal replacement. As much as I'd love to just use renewable energy it is sadly very inneficient atm (at least to cover current and future energy needs) and uses a lot of fairly rare resources, be it solar panels or storage solutions for that energy.
In Switzerland we say: Dä April macht was er will (April does what it wants -> talking about the weather)
Ja bro
