Binding Dx6i with E-flite Convergence

After a bunch of tries attempting to bind the dx6i with convergence, I was almost ready to give up and buy a new remote. I figured not being listed in the owners manual, perhaps the dx6i was too old to bind with the newer technology. Not so. Turns out I probably bound the plane a million times while trying but didn't realize it. I was looking for a light change, auditable tone, or control of the servos. None of that happens until you power cycle the plane and remote. The light does stop flashing on the receiver once bound, but the receiver is not visible until you remove the bottom cover. Hope this helps someone. I read many people having the same frustration as myself, so I made this quick vid.

Hello, Thanks for the video. Is your DX6i a DSM2 or DSMX? I have a DSM2 and am curious as to if it will bind. Or do you know if a AR6100e rx will work? Thanks in advance.

J Guerrero. I have DSMX. If you get the bnf, it only says DSMX on the box. But you can get the plug and play version and put your own DSM2 receiver. Your receiver will tie into the onboard controller. The plug n play version only has a flight controller, you provide the receiver. Good luck!

Glenn Horizon Hobby told me to use their part numbers SPMAR610 and ZEFL11025 so that the DX6i will bind. I have not done that yet. He slap told me that it's probably better to upgrade the radio since those parts will run about $40-$50 sms that money can go towards the new radio.

try frame rate at 11 ,that might do the trick to get it to bind with the DX6i

Nothing but pure junk I brought 2 of these they ended in frustration and in the garbage can just cheap junk
