Bro stay on the city streets and parking lots for now. With all due respect you aren’t ready for the highway yet. You need way more practice my guy. Be safe
Only way to get to micro center boss😔
i did not see an issue with the highway part, its his turning is the issue.
@@Choosetoone well you don’t want to be running wide at 70 mph…
@@destroyerofmen7521 are you talking about him running of the road a bit?
@Zhayre it ain't the only way to get to Micro, you just chose to go the way you went. Next time take a car, bus or Uber until your ready😮.....geez!
advise i can give:
rev match: just tap clutch, lightly blip throttle, and shift down. it just works. practice at slower speeds, as if you miss clutch it will buck a little and it might scare you
leaning: just push to turn, and the lean is natural. if you are turning right, push on the right side of your handlebar, same for left. this also counts as counter steering (dont over-think it)
Overall, nice job! Please please take time to practice in a parking lot.
- Practice switching from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 1st over and over until your hands cramp.
- Practice balancing on your bike while moving slowly. Learn your clutch point and try to balance on the bike at 5mph and slower.
- Practice shifting from 1st to neutral.
- Practice hard stops to prevent locking your brakes in a real situation.
Keep enjoying the journey and keep up the great content!
Great vid! Just here to second what people are saying about getting more experience riding in a lot and having better bike control. NYC streets can get crazy with some of these drivers and even pedestrians. Few things I wanted to suggest:
- Practice countersteering at low speed and avoiding maneuvers in a parking lot. Learning how to move the bike is so important and it personally helped me understand how to lean
- Practice emergency braking (downshift to first while stopping as quickly as possible) so you can get out of a situation as quickly as you stop for another
- Understand how a quickshifter (clutchless shifting up/down) works so you can get those crispy upshifts like the ones you got at the beginning of the video and do it every time
- Ride like you're invisible to other people because most of the time you are like that situation you ran into at 10:36 and stay out of blind spots while riding local. NYC Drivers change lane often and it's just added risk
- You're doing great already and I think you'll be decent once you have some more seat time!
Also watch out for all those speed cameras by that MC lol I just go out to Westbury because riding on highways out east is way more fun than in Queens. Looking forward to seeing your growth dude
Watched your other videos and made me get an r3 aswell. It’s cool watching you progress & just know you’re not alone with all the first experiences.
thanks for taking the time to watch me suck a riding a bike lol
hiii im so happy you posted!! i love your vids and your houmor you always make me laugh when i have a bad day
Such a sweet comment!❣️ thank you so much for watching me. I hope you keep enjoying the videos
little advice for the turning and going off the road. you not leaning is not the issue, its you not looking where you want to be. So dont look in front look ahead of the curve of where you are turning. the old saying is you go where you look. you look in front of you when turning. you go straight towards that. you look ahead at where you want to be and the bike will go there.
Hey bro - beginner here too!
1. love your vids, funny to see every biker go through the same things at first. Stay safe and maybe practice a bit more on emptier roads.
2. if you can't shift into first from neutral, just roll the bike back or forth a little bit and then try again.
Here's a quick explanation from a forum:
"If you are starting your bike and holding the clutch in the entire time, it's likely that the input side of the transmission is not spinning, and the output side (chain side) is stationary as well. Because of this, your dog clutches are not lined up for 1st gear, and it won't go into 1st. When you roll it forward and backward, you are moving one side of the transmission and thus your dogs align and allow you to shift into first."
thanks for the help!
Yupppp been waiting for thissss
I got a little taste of speed now!!
Man one day i wil have my own bike but i have to wait only 15 😪 love your content 😉
Thanks man!! praying you get a bike soon🙏🏾🙏🏾
You could ride dirt bikes off road.
Get a car, don’t be a hero
in my country u gotta be 18 to get a bike :/
stay safe out there! the hand pain goes away after a while riding.
the shifting issue you had: you were stuck on a transmission tooth. this happens all the time with every bike. just walk the bike back like 4-6in and shift. its why they say downshift while you brake in your MSF course. because it will go in gear while its moving.
Was it false neutral?
@@maps2605 neutral doesnt do that because its not sitting on a tooth.
Thumbnail goes hard. Microcenter is a W.
Thank you so much!! I was hoping someone liked it😭
happy early 1k subs brother. first video got me hooked. when u get comfortable upgrading to a more powerful bike, your channel is gonna explode with a new audience. so happy to have found a gem this early - A REAL DAY 1
Thank you so much!! You’ve made my day with your comment
bro was almost a statistic of target fixation
Time stamp?
🔥🔥 content
First time on highway is JRP, bro you really got some balls.. All jokes aside I'd recommend Clearview to begin. Ride safe!
First and niceeee
Thanks for your support🥳💛
Your videos make me happy every time I watch them :)
I just have a quick question. What recording equipment do you use? And how do you set up your mic?
everything I use is in the description. I just run the mic from my camera inside my helmet, also thanks for watching brother!!
Im a rider and I love anime / Manga so i love this guy already lmao
Thanks so much for the support!! I hope you stick around
You don't have to lean bruh, if you want to go left, push the left side handlebar. If you want to go right, push the right side of the handlebar. It's called "counter steering"
Yeah I eventually figured that out 😂
When your stopped its often hard to shift. Try letting out the cluch really slowly just before it starts to bite and then try shifting. The gearbox needs a little bit of motivation sometimes
HOLY MOLY!
🙂
as a pc nerd, watching you put the memory in your pocket was crazy
It had to be done😭
W 1k subs brother
Chainsaw man is fire

"Drop a gear, disappear" as you upshifting, lol you're funny.
I like how you know all the buzzwords like rev-matching and twisties but don't know exactly what the mean or how to do it. At the same time, you know that you don't know everything. This is good, because if you know what you don't know, you can learn it. Then once you learn it, you'll be an expert!
Drop a gear & disappear chat😈 lmaooo
I subscribed after I heard the “go fuck myself” I use that line all the time bro🤣🤘🏼
My go to line😂😂
"Sir, what the fuck?" I need that on a sticker. Good job getting over to the side there. I try rocking it back and forth if it's not finding gear. I'm currently troubleshooting a Sportster that doesn't want to find first.
I should've put a "what the fuck" counter right?! lol
I just got my license myself. Just be light. Dont force your body to act learn how to react. I remember that in the beginning i had to learn that whatever i do with my body that bike wont care. Im 68kilos and the bike is 200. Light and confidet
be safe brother🙏🏾
Counter steering is key.
u dont need a wind screen its a supersport ur supposed to tuck in at higher speeds
Yeah I wasn’t tucked enough
Keep making videos man
What jacket u wearing? Looks clean ash 🙏🏽
Alpinestars AST Air Jacket
No storage spot under the seat for the Ram sticks???
no lie i dead forgot about that spot
@@Zhayre lol i was just wondering that maybe the r3 doesn’t come with a storage part or something…
@@Willzzz95no actually I did try to put the packaging in there but it was too big so I had to find a garage lol
lmao i live there, that's the jackie
The highway is the safest place for the bike. No cross traffic and no intersections. Stay vigilant, stay safe, and most importantly, have fun!
sick video my bro!
Appreciate you my boy🤟🏾
look where you want to go when turning
I dead forgot about that
Taking a scooter to highway. 😂
hey i know everyone and their mother is giving you tips but the reason your hands are hurting is because you're putting all your weight on your wrists. squeeze the tank with your legs and it take some of the pressure off your wrists
Yeah I forgot about that, thanks lol
Your Instagram page isn't working. Also my R3 has issues going from neutral to 1st sometimes I have to rock the bike back and forth.
Perfectly normal for a motorcycle
Quick explanation from a forum for ya:
"If you are starting your bike and holding the clutch in the entire time, it's likely that the input side of the transmission is not spinning, and the output side (chain side) is stationary as well. Because of this, your dog clutches are not lined up for 1st gear, and it won't go into 1st. When you roll it forward and backward, you are moving one side of the transmission and thus your dogs align and allow you to shift into first."
thanks for telling me, instagram link should be working now
yup that's normal. sometimes it also helps if you lightly release the clutch when rocking back and forth and when it moves forward you know you're in 1st
7:27 aint no way thats how you open that kind of packcage
“Violence is never the answer” ahh comment😭🙏🏾(I’m joking, thanks for watching!!)
i want a bike
よろしくお願いします🙇🏽
This going to end in tragedy.

@@Zhayre no, your ego is going to make you a statistic. You don't have the skills to do what you're doing, and I hope you can take your way through until you develop some actual skill. Because right now you're a casket waiting to happen.
Didn't realize you were black like me.
