The idea being, 'eat our supplies & I can get you to stay'. & I don't think Ben's dad is dead... I think he's one of Negan's hostages! (Perhaps the one Daryl was 'linked' with???) That may have been the reason they settled on 8 pigs... 1 for each hostage! & the pistol Morgan was brandishing... didn't he take that off a Savior??? Somehow, they seem to recognize their on guns! Perhaps he was also worried because he knew they'd be pissed if they caught him with one of their weapons! One last observation... Hipster Savior took his 'free shot'... & then took another! I viewed the pigs being fattened up by the walkers as a form of secret punishment as they are effectively eating tainted meat which, could likely make them all ill. When Rick had the pigs at the prison and they got sick was this down to being bred on earth where walkers had died etc so could be a hint as to what would have happened to the pigs had they not been slaughtered. I see our originals teaming up with those in the kingdom and hill top against Negan and the Savior's although I don't think that will happen in this season as I think they need Negan around to stir things up for a bit.
I love Ezekiel's character. He's extremely intelligent and I feel like he's going to has a huge part in taking down Negan, because it seems as if the Saviors have a certain respect for him (besides the one guy who was beating up Richard). You could hear it in the one saviors voice, the one who told them to produce. He almost sounded sympathetic and didn't want any harm to come Ezekiel's way. I don't think he will be turning on any of our characters, but I can definitely see him turning on Negan once he has the upper hand.
As far as the pigs go.... remember Bob? "You're eating tainted meet"! I find feeding the pigs walkers, brilliant... Daryl might be happy to eat dog food sandwiches ...

So much is going on now in the series. the writers sometimes lose their way and use the comics to get back on track and that's what happened with the killings during late season 6 early season 7. Morgan had the rabbit's foot when he was at the church after all of the survivors from Rick's group had been there. He places it on the altar with the chocolate that Eastman also liked and the bullet he was given as an offering from the couple whose lives he spared. He hung the rabbit's foot up in the car where he had spent the night the day before he met the wolves.
Or could Ben's father who is claimed to be "dead" secretly be Negan himself who just never returned & doesn't want his son with him in this way anymore. While he keeps a close eye on the kingdom, could Ezekiel & negan had once been friends after the outbreak and somehow got disconnected because of how far negan was willing to go & Ezekiel wasn't? Carol has been surviving by keeping to herself. I think she would rather just pass off alone than having Rick and the rest of the crew with her if that was to happen. So much has happened so it probably pains her inside to know that more is going to happen so she would rather just keep to herself to not see it. Anything can happen in this show at anytime.

hey killer. in the picture you posted of Morgan's gun (Beretta 92) it is clearly not on safety. the red dot means danger the gun is hot. however the loaded chamber indicator shows the gun does not have a round in the chamber so you can add that to your bus continuity comment.
