I like your workbench setup. I'd like to set mine up similarly. I see you have peg board but what are those black hangers where all your tools are mounted to? Are they magnetic strips? Would you mind sharing a link to what they are?

Yes the tools are on magnetic strips I bought at harbor freight. You can get them at any hardware store or even Amazon but harbor freight had them the cheapest. The cell checkers, program boxes, etc have either Velcro on back or I wrapped the chord with a piece of Velcro and just stuck a Velcro stop to the peg board to stick them on. In the corner where I have the soldering station I used 4 12 inch granite tiles I got from Home Depot. For the work bench itself I used press board because it’s cheaper than ply, cut it in half for 2 24” by 48” sections and then used a full 4x8 section with long side sticking out so in all it’s 12ft along the wall with large section in the middle. Got a large piece of indoor outdoor carpet from home depot on clearance and just tucked it under and stapled it. Keeps stuff from moving around and stops screws and parts from bouncing everywhere when I drop something. I will try to post some pics but in the end it was pretty cheap to do once I finally figured out what I wanted to do which took some trial and error lol.

I cant find their website. How reliable is this company? I'd hate to buy something that wont have parts in a few years. Also what makes this helicopter so great?

I had the same questions. Tony Whiteside at hardcorercproducts.com has more kits on the way and Heli direct is stocking them also. After building this kit I’m confident that Steam will grow and be around for a while. The current owner and designer of this kit bought all the Tarot stock of MK550/600 when they closed in 2020 and this is his 2nd version of a 700 design in the last 2 years. Based on the advancement in design and quality from V1 to the current I believe Steam will only grow. With that said I’m not sponsored by them nor do I get discounts so I will post about any likes and dislikes as it gets more flights. It’s a little cold here at the moment so may be a few weeks but based on initial impressions I might have found a new 700 myself. It came in at 11lbs with 2 22.2v 5000mah batteries, a scorpion 4525 520Kv, scorpion 300amp esc, and blades making it one of the lightest 700s I’ve built over the last couple years. With that said I haven’t built the new OMP or Goosky 700 as of yet. The tail section is one of the coolest I’ve scene and I believe will hold up better than others in crash situations. The pulley actually sits in the end of the boom lining it up perfectly with the front anti rotation gear. I like that it the lower side frames which could be cracked in a crash are easily replaced without removing motor, servos, etc at a low cost. With that said most brands are doing the same currently. It’s a low parts count, fast, and easy helicopter to build for sure. I really like the way the pinion sits between an upper and lower bearing inside a solid case which mounts to the motor. As far as what sets it apart from others is questionable. It’s early to tell for me. As I am intrigued by the tail, pinion bearing block design, and a few small things it won’t be until several flights so as to check wear and unfortunately a crash to see how it holds up before I can honestly say if it’s much different than others on the market currently. In the end it’s hard to find anything on the market that really stands out from others considering the current selection of brands that fly great with good designs and quality parts.

@@rcflightline2839 is this an American company do you know? Also I have a Goosky S1, S2, RS4 Venom (just received and not built yet), Trex 470L, and just received a Trex TB40, also unbuilt.
So I have a bunch of small and medium sized helis. I will eventually get a large heli. I am looking at the Goosky RS7 obviously, but this AK you have here has me intrigued.
Please keep posting about it as perhaps I'll be ready to buy a 700 class sometime in the fall. Hopefully by then will have enough info to make a good decision.
      Thanks

Thanks again for sharing. I appreciate your excellent open box information and let us trust this company products. Today I also receive my AK700 and the quality has totally exceeded my expectations, not saying it’s reasonable cost, but the precision and design would provide top building experience. Expecting to rock it up sky. Thanks sir for your video.🎉❤

Looks awesome!! Have been waiting for this for a LONG time!
Are there any upgrades available for the AK 700? What about different color canopies? Where can I buy them?

Hopefully it will get first flight tomorrow. Will post another video showing everything close up at end of build and my thoughts. I think it’s going to be an amazing Heli. When it comes to canopies not sure at the moment but hardcorercproducts.com/collections/all
Should have different canopy options listed in the next few weeks.
