Can't tell you how much I appreciate videos like this where you're very specific and actually have quality camera angles and no rambling on about something totally unnecessary before you start the video 5 minutes later. Oh, and the music during the sped up bits-it's also a breath of fresh air, it wasn't some cheap generic guitar riffs.
Thanks man! I put a lot of time in editing to entertain.. I also try to give a lot of info without rambling. Although I have rambled once or twice 🤣 I appreciate the view. I have plenty more vids for you to enjoy!
Had the same error after watching your video checked the same hose and it was cracked. Put some tape and the code dissapeared for a week. Now i need to replace it to avoid further leaka

I had to replace the canister on my 97 XJ. On this year, it's not in the back, like many others, it's inside the engine compartment atop the frame rail, buried deep deep near the bottom. Easy to remove/install, except for the "get it out past everything else in the engine compartment" aspect. Most of the AC system is in the way, resulting in a very winding path around all the hoses.
Great video but if you can help where I can find the evap complete assembly other than a junkyard would be a big help. I am restoring a 2002 grand cherokee limited.
YOOO I JUST SAW YOU THIS MORNINGXD This is so crazy lmao wheels fit perfectly man and thanks for the knowledge! Might need one of these so I might shoot you a message on fb in a couple days👍👍
That was a lot better way than some I have seen. I think the bumper removal made it a lot easier - thanks for that idea; Does a gross evaporative leak cause poor gas mileage? My 4.0 is getting awful mileage - 14mpg on the highway, even after a plug change. I also have a Check engine light that shows "gross evaporative leak" as well as a small leak. 0442, 0455 and 0456.
Hello friend, sorry I have the same error code p0455 and my Cherokee loses power when going uphill and I feel that it consumes more fuel. Do you think it is one of the symptoms in that code?
Awesome video!!! I just started hearing a high pitched noise from that area - although I've had an evap leak for years w/ check engine light always on. The noise is annoying though - prob a leak. Thanks for the video!@

Great video. Any info on the evap canister part num? Probably should do mine. Changed the evap solenoid. Still says lines blocked. Idle went back down though. Have to try to clear code. Thank you.
They hooked me up.. frequent flyer special.. $20 it probably would have been free but they had to fork lift it out of the sand so I paid for their manpower. Lol

Question: What right angle drill are you using in this? I will be attempting this project soon. Dan love your vids, great camera angles, REALLY helps! More WJ vids please! God Bless!
Hey Dan! Enjoy your videos as usual. Question for the EVAP. My 2000 Cherokee XJ is running a a P1494 code showing LDP but pricy and rather not spend the money to fix and have the same issue. What is the proper way to test the system or to verify that it truly is the LDP that is malfunctioning and needs a replacement?
Hello Dan, I would like th know where the vacumeline from the middle of the T filling goes to? I am replacing my LDP and the middle port of the T fitting off the LDP does not have a hose on it....can you please let me know. Thanks

On a side note, there was a recall on these wj models that involved rear end collisions. Solution was to add a rear trailer hitch.
