Where's MAC guys? We waiting here over 3 years. I'll buy BS3 but when you release MAC.
Is it possible to upgrade a copy that was originally bought on steam and later transferred to the standalone version?
@@jaakkojouppila9965 You can transfer module to the standalone? You can pair your Steam licenses with DCS system and use then DCS version ... , that's it, right?
Guess then you should be able to buy upgrade on Steam - it worked for me this way for A-10 module. BS3 upgrade is there somewhere down the list.
(Now I have to search, where I bought older module - I do not remember if on Steam or already on DCS.)
Question is, if you can combine it - Steam BS2 + DCS BS3 upgrade ???
I own BS2 on Steam despite this the upgrade is £57.12 on Steam. So I bound my Steam account to DCS account and the BS2 product license were transferred to DCS account but it says the upgrade is full price $69.99 in the DCS e-shop/shopping cart too.
Edit: Nevermind, BS3 upgrade has its own Steam store page separate to BS3... that I somehow managed to miss.
I bought the Hind, wasn't for me. I bought the Apache, wasn't for me. I'm going to do the definition of insanity and do it once more.
The hind is by far my favourite module, maybe I should try this one out too?
@@cfranko1860 I love the hind too, I also own the KA50 and you should definetely try it out, although its way different from the Hind.

Ka50 is great, it's a single seater so no seat jumping like other helos
@@hansloyalitat9774 Completely different kind of helicopter. The Hind is to be used as a ground attacker when there are little missile threats (SAM, MANPADS, so on); The KA-50 can be instead very versatile in such contexts, as it's very agile compared to the Hind and can engage its enemies from afar (about 8km). I honestly enjoy both.

Где вы видели новую технику в игре? Все новое под грифом секретно. Даже на древний су-27 Сухой не дает разрешения наполный модуль.
@@mirtaet123 из простой игры дкс уже вырос, для меня новая техника - это Ми-24, Апач, Ф-16, Мираж Ф1. Очень жаль, что презентации российской/советской техники мы видим реже, но здесь ничего не поделать. За данные по Ф-16 Олег Тищенко на год с лишним в тюрьму попал. Можно только надеяться, что раз Ка-50 было позволено внести в симулятор, то получится и Ка-52, хотя бы урезаной версией.
Back to where it all began. It looks like a great counterpart to the Apache. And it's nice to see it brought up to date, and see what could it could have been.

Very happy to see Black Shark 3! I bought BS2 together with the A-10c shortly after the latter got released and the shark has remained my favorite module ever since... This was long before any third party developers got involved and no module ever since managed to top the Shark for me ♥️🦈

Love the trailer, you guys release great trailers. I still have the DSC: Black Shark DVD, just checked and it says 2009 on it. Remember thinking how awesome the simulation was then. And look how far it has come now and all the aircraft we have now. I have not flown the Black Shark for a while. Will be buying the upgrade to get back into it.

How do Steam users who already have the Black Shark 2 through steam get the upgrade without paying full price?

Fyi my copy of BS2 was gifted & I was able to upgrade to BS3.
@@PiNKMuDSimGaming I think it depends on how it was gifted, if it was from a giveaway or some such thing where no money was ever exchanged. Then it might not work.

Still one of my favorite helicopters, nice little smoke on the water homage in the music too. It's such a menacing machine: if there was a Bond villain who flew a helicopter, it would be the Black Shark.

well, thats this afternoon sorted :) Now I need to dig out all my BS2 manuals and remember how to fly it :) I started off my DCS addiction with BS1 many many moons ago when all there was available was BS1, then shortly A-10 appeared, upgraded to BS2, and now BS3!

Loved the video @Eagle Dynamics: Digital Combat Simulator! Can't wait for the next video man! The Kamov Ka-50 Black Shark and Ka-52 Alligator Attack Helicopters are pretty Cool pieces of Military Equipment. Interesting Designs as well, Especially with the Placement of the Gun.

Почти 15 лет прошло с того момента, как я увидел ролик EDGE, а шишка от эпичных видосов с Ка-50 дымится до сих пор. Очень радует, что старые модули обновляются да ещё такого уровня. Надо будет найти диск с первой Black Shark и сравнить, если система защиты будет адекватно работать на Винде Десятке

ED could try get the Real Tom Cruise do a ride in DCS F14, just for publicity. That surely would increase sales a bit.
The level of detail on this model is stunning. You can see the letters on the inside of the landing gear tires. You've outdone yourselves again! Now if we could just get the Stingers on the Apache...lol sorry Wags. I try and get my suggestions in where I can.
In reality they can install stingers to American Apache by removing MWS sensors in tip of wings. And it should be done possible in simulator as well because it doesn't cost anything or take time in hangar to be done.
Similar thing is with APKWS II rockets, Apache, Huey, Hornet, Viper etc are all 100% compatible with them regardless the year, because it is a weapon (Hydra-70 rockets) upgrade and not the platform upgrade (aircraft).
Just set time limiter to 2015-2018 for mission time to allow APKWS II be loaded in any Hydra-70 pods in any aircraft. If someone doesn't like, don't allow them in mission, or don't make mission newer than those years!

Very impressive as always.. Thank you DCS.. you wonder why not all choppers dont employ the same coaxial rotor design after experiecening the ease of flight contol of Ka 50 Black Shark.. beautiful chopper.. and incredible work from DCS Teams! upgrading right away to support the DCS team..
Because there are some other dangers in them, like collision of blades in wild maneuvers with too high collective.
In the second Chezenya war pilot pulled crazy 65 m/s vertical speed to avoid mountain, and nothing happened. But there is video of KA-50 losing blades.
The general who died in that accident had said that mountain operations should be performed only with KA-50 as strong gust winds doesn't affect it at all like traditional helicopters. And ship deck landings are superior as well with coaxial.
ED should really do KA-27 and KA-29 to DCS world. To give Russian marines and ASW capability.
