    Jody Morris was talked about as the next Pep Guardiola level coach at academy level. Total domination. There are a lot of signs that point out to him being the guy behind the success of that young Chelsea team in Lampard's first season. The fact that Lampard, Neville, Gerrard got coaching gigs having not proved anything while someone with Morris' CV hasn't gotten one is incredible

    Haha Jody Morris. I remember him from late 90s.
    When I was on 6th form my mate up here in newcastle of all places used to go round bars and clubs telling lasses he was Jody Morris from Chelsea. Looked nowt like him. He did pull quite a few times so they clearly believed him. Blast from the past

      Regardless of the nationality of owner its a business and not a welfare fund. here the profits and losses are also get displayed publicly inside the pitch.. with negative results you earn millions of boos and butchering on field and tv. Even With far greater facilities than other nations, english coaches are far away from being a proper gaffer. Coaches can be made in academies but Bosses are built in life surrounded by rough streets.

    • @Daniel-e2h1w
      @Daniel-e2h1w หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @ the nationality of the owner does in fact matter as there is only certain levels of how they perceive English football. Wolves ownership are only in the English game to bring Portuguese players into the league. Brighton’s owners are in it to bring non recognised players a chance to shine while letting the overall standard of the English game drops. The premier league has over 65% of foreign players while our young starlets who are actively and continually winning trophies at youth level are being made to play in less competitive leagues and teams in the top flight for other nations who can’t develop there own infrastructure. The TV deals are only of the interest of different seas and if you see it being about all P&L’s and buisness model then there is no need to have owners as it regulates itself.

    I remember when Jody Morris came through the Chelsea ranks. I thought he was going to be an England regular for years. He was a good modern day midfielder. Good going forward, eye for a goal, clever and covered a lot ground defensively. There was even a reality tv style documentary about the Chelsea youth team at time and Jody was head head shoulders best player. They even showed him going to Harrods after he signed his big money pro deal. And then weirdly, after becoming a first team fixture, he just seemed to disappear. He talked about how he was supposed to join Blackburn but the transfer collapsed. But why didnt Chelsea want to keep him and offer him a new deal? It seem all very weird. Why didn't no team in England want him? There are lots of stories about Morris' s behaviour in the swanky West End clubs at the time. I think maybe he started to belueve his own publicity.

    One of the major problems among many Lampard had at Chelsea was his desire to make English players the fulcrum of the team..He basically wanted to replace players with English Lads..He reportedly wanted to sell Kante and buy Rice, bought Chillwel to replace Alonso, Wanted to sell Rudiger and buy Tarkowski ..In big matches, you saw him starting Billy Gilmore and keeping Jorginho on the bench..No team wins things with majority English players. Same thing Eddie Howe will do overtime when Tonali, Isak and Guimareas are sold..He will be fixated with replacing them with English players.

      @@Rearwing Barcelonas most successful period in football was from players being bought through the academy with some high quality non Spanish players. Manchester United the most successful English team in history had majority home born players. There’s nothing wrong with having a club who have effectively produced 75% of the player base in Europe field an 11 or 18 with majority academy players.

      @@Daniel-e2h1w there is a reason why top premier league teams do not have English players as their most creative outlet only now Chelsea with Palmer..The reason been England do not build such players.. Defensively and in attack yes but central midfield to control possession and tempo no..If you have majority of English players in your team, your team will be set up to play counter attacking football just like English National team even with it supposed world class talents.

    • @Daniel-e2h1w
      @Daniel-e2h1w หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Rearwing that’s incorrect. All of our top premier league clubs have an English player as there most creative outlet. They English way of playing football has changed dramatically and has adopted a more cultural approach to the game in which young players are now taught to play, the point being made is that Chelsea had enough talent to be competitive in all comps with the players they had.

    Lampard is clueless as a manager and infuriates me when he’s compared to Gerrard, Gerrard was invincible at rangers and stopped ten in a row, rangers had journeymen before he turned up and when he left they had assets, his big mistake was leaving for villa as tempting as that was he should of had 4/5 years winning trophy’s playing in Europe and then moved. But lampard got favours off Chelsea for derby success and done sod all since he’s clueless and arrogant in my view
