Museveni defiled and squandered the goodwill invested in him by the people. Museveni came to power with all the good intentions, and people loved him. But he was just an idea, the idea of freedom, and the people loved the idea. Today, close to 40 years down the line, the idea of freedom that has eluded the Ugandans from its birth, still remains elusive.

@@robski39 what do you mean by freedom? Personally, I feel extremely free in Uganda. I am free to do what i want, worship God, take my kids to whatever school i want, make money and spend it on whatever i want, go where i want, whenever i want without being disturbed. I am free to elect whoever i want at LC1, LC2, LC3, LC5, thousands of counsellors, president etc. This country has a lot of freedom. The only freedom we dont have in UGANDA is the freedom to commit crimes.

People around the world don't know that Uganda has had dark ages, after him taking over in 1986, there was another war in northern Uganda which lasted for 20yrs, it's until 2010, when peace returned.
Uganda has come from far. Our neighbours like Kenya and Tanzania have not gone through this since their independence.

President Museveni's vast experience in African leadership and need I say stringent stand against LGBTQ agenda in Uganda and Africa as a whole in my honest opinion, this man has quite some wisdom. May The Almighty count him righteous for honouring Him when the rest of the west wish to allow and follow the abominable unnatural ways.
His latest speech when he was in Kenya symbolisef gis deep understanding of Africa's need to collaborate and form synergies not just economically but politically. Him and the late Mugabe(RIP) knew that Africa needs more integration to realise their full potential.

Talking of his coming and the Luwero thing, you must know a war zone will take whatever it takes.

Come to Kasese, guys holding machetes to fight the government, it was a weird thing but believe me if someone is armed and ready to take life, ask the democrats and their police in the USA would do for such a fellow.

History is important ..in context. Uganda and Rwanda are both in a unique situation. These two countries have a somewhat similar history of upheavals and regime strife. In Museveni's case, there was always the situation of kony and the rebels in the north...the uncertainty is what has kept him in power. In Kagame's case, a similar situation exists with the rebels swarming from Congo..that uncertainty has necessitated his continuous stay in power...so nothing here is in a vacuum...There are legitimate reasons for these two staying in power for long.

Museveni took power from Tito Okello not obote , in what's known as the Battle for Kampala 1986. And Uganda has gone through 3 or more civil wars , 3 military coups , it has come very long way to where they are now, credit goes to m7 for sure , if he was weak they would have gone through the same cycle , war after war, but he stood strong and fought throw them until the cycle was broken. Now no body dares go to the bush to start another war, alot of has to be improved on the political front. Coz in Uganda no one cares if u not in politics, but once u join it, well u know the rest !

Bobi Wine mentioning that the atrocities today are much worse than those of the 1980's in Uganda, tells us how poor he is as far as the history of Uganda is concerned. Bobi wine says that the injustices were far less when HE President Museveni went to the bush than today- but he fought against dictatorships of Idi amin who was not just unpopular domestically and in East Africa but gained notoriety in the world for his brutality against his own people by torturing and killing them besides having a flair of racism highlighted by his self-propagated anti-semitism to name one and Milton Oboto who was officially reported to have killed at least 300,000 people not withstanding corruption of the highest nature; looting his own people of a semblance of a bright future.
The opposition such as the leaders of Forum for Democratic Change(FDC) and National Unity Platform(NUP) are instead riot mongers who endanger the lives of others by flouting norms such as Covid protocols which where in place for all citizens of the country during elections and instead cause damage to property and persons who have the right according to the constitution, to life and the pursuit of prosperity through their livelihood. Winning the seat of power by the ballot by His Excellency President Museveni is not considered manipulation of local politics like it is said in the documentary but instead vying for votes by underlining the achievements of government is the foundation of a vibrant democracy and championing Pan-Africanism through the integration of the East African community and stemming conflict throughout the region are causes that are selfless in nature as they espouse to create peace and prosperity for all in the continent; ideas that reverberate throughout Uganda and the continent and keep Mzee popular amidst a storm of misguided comprehension of policy formulation and implementation

There's an unseen side of Uganda. With some tribes having highly revered kings, it is technically impossible to have a democratic government. The biggest challenge in Uganda was always ethnic chaos in the Ugandan military and creation of numerous tribal militia. There were always too many boots and guns in the villages and towns. The genius in M7 built a very professional (private) military institution that completely cleaned up the boots and guns from civilian spaces. To this day, he owns the Ugandan military institution. Those who say that he should leave the stage don't seem to appreciate this aspect. UPDF is practically a private security corporation. Ironically, it is arguably the best and most professional militaries in Africa. He loves his soldiers. Again, this works very well for business and social life in Uganda. Crime is not prevalent in Uganda. It is almost predictable that Gen. MK will take over from Mzee. For the sake of continuity, MK must take over. He should.
