I’m driving 308 SW (1.6 120hp) for a year now and I love it. It’s amazing family car. Has a lot of space, really comfortable even on 17”. Engine is strong enough, economical (5.4l. combined). The best thing is that steering wheel, it’s literally perfect!!!
Only thing that I’m not fan of is narrow visibility on the right side. I’m 185cm tall, and I had couple of situations that made me realized that I’m not seeing good enough that side (12 - 15h clock wise).

I agree. I drive a 1,2 130hp 308 sw from 2019. Im your height and the visibility is horrible on the right side. The brake sensors are also very sensitive to snow and ice, which is an annoying problem. And the transmission is sometimes a bit delayed when slowing down and accelerating again. Other than that its great

The new 308 is more incredible. This comparison is pretty late since the 3rd gen 308 was already launched over a year ago. This old 308 is ok looking but it is getting old but the new is simply amazingly beautiful for a family car. And interior is sooo nice. I waited it for over a year and it finally arrived four weeks ago. :)

Too bad for me there is just one car anyway, I would never pick a car forcing me to choose between displaying navigation or climate control *facepalm*.

I pick hyundai since more modern, the Peugeot is soon gone and replaced by something even more modern and eye catching. Wagons hopefully will stay as common sense choice for rational, intensive and cost conscious use. "Bravo bardzo" Marek, spot on detailed remarks supports sensible summarization and makes you a reference, despite you mask yourself at times behind your funny attitude. Which all love ! And congrats for the competent filming of beautiful scenery 😍

I have to share with you an interesting experience about the steering.
My brother have 308 with 17 inch alloy wheels. He's got Goodyear tires on them and replaced them to michelin pilot sport 4.
The steering improved a lot, but in my friend's clio 5 rs line it's just another story...
The clio rs line has a continental eco tires, my friend replaced them to michelin ps4 too. The handling in any situation, the feeling from the steering and even the comfort and the economy has been improved so much, words can not explain that...

    Very nice video again, Marek.
I love your comments and your nice camera work (except the *ahem* flickering LED front- and rearlights *ahem* )
Unfortunately the 308 is no match for it's big brothers 3008/5008 and does not even come close to their style. While the bigger ones both are "tres chique", the 308 looks a little bit dull inside and outside. So the nicer one in your comparison clearly is the i30. Although: Just like you I'd be annoyed by that beeping infotainment crap.
Do you you consider more of these double revies?
For exapmple I'd be interested in a comparison between the Nissan Qashqai and the Hyundai Tucson
or the Seat Arona and the Hyundai Kona

    • @MarekDrives

AFAIK GoPro doesn't have adjustable shutter speed, and car-2-car shots are recorded on GoPro.
As for comparison videos, they are a logistical nightmare for me and my gf (we film these just the two of us), so unless they get good views, I'm not motivated. With the Velar vs. GLE being a notable exception.
This was more of a fluke - 2 cars I didn't really need in the first place (but sometimes you have to take a car they want you to review, so they give you the one you really want to review), but they aligned in my calendar, so I could make a comparison video.

It's hard to tell for me which is better. I think they quite decent and final choice depends on local dealer, discount, trim level, special offer. Both these look good alternatives for now popular similar sized SUVs. For me those estates have one big advantage ove SUV: boot/trunk loading lip is much lower and to load heavy items is easier on station wagon/estate.

“The 308 SW’s tailgate is heavy to open, but it reveals a 660-litre boot that’s the biggest in the class. Useful touches include load rails in the floor and seat-folding levers in the boot sides, but the load cover is fiddly to hook into place, and you remove it by twisting it out of position, a process that doesn’t feel well engineered.” Something is wrong about size boot for peugeot...I read alot of reviews about peugeot 308 SW and they all praise especially the size of the boot, biggest of his class...no way near 565 litres as you said! www.autoexpress.co.uk/peugeot/308/sw
