I’m driving 308 SW (1.6 120hp) for a year now and I love it. It’s amazing family car. Has a lot of space, really comfortable even on 17”. Engine is strong enough, economical (5.4l. combined). The best thing is that steering wheel, it’s literally perfect!!! Only thing that I’m not fan of is narrow visibility on the right side. I’m 185cm tall, and I had couple of situations that made me realized that I’m not seeing good enough that side (12 - 15h clock wise).
I agree. I drive a 1,2 130hp 308 sw from 2019. Im your height and the visibility is horrible on the right side. The brake sensors are also very sensitive to snow and ice, which is an annoying problem. And the transmission is sometimes a bit delayed when slowing down and accelerating again. Other than that its great
The new 308 is more incredible. This comparison is pretty late since the 3rd gen 308 was already launched over a year ago. This old 308 is ok looking but it is getting old but the new is simply amazingly beautiful for a family car. And interior is sooo nice. I waited it for over a year and it finally arrived four weeks ago. :)

i30 wagon looks better in my opinion as it is and right now I'd rather take that, however the brand new 308 just got released and soon the SW version of that should be out so then I'd rather take that.
The hyundai's interior look boring and cheap. The Peugeot 308 is an excellent car, it's a high quality, comfortable, economical and even fun estate car. And it looks much better.
@Maarten Vrolix I have to share with you an interesting experience about the steering. My brother have 308 with 17 inch alloy wheels. This 308 here will soon become more affordable. BTW, this is a mid spec model, and what makes it so expensive is the diesel engine, which also makes it frugal.
Not fair comparison in Design as Hyundai is N line and Peugeot 🦁 is Allure.. I know its higher spec model but still it should be compared to the GT Line at least or GT model which is comparable in power too. Peugeot GT Line or GT spec looks so much better than this one! But its still nicer than Hyundai
Where does this figure of 493L for the i30 boot space come from? Is this an official data? All Hyundai specs claim 602 liters for the MHEV wagon as well.
@@MarekDrives thanks! It's shocking, the Hungarian market's brochure doesn't say anything about the reduced space, it says 602 liters, although in real life it seems defintely smaller than that. :( Anyway the 1.5 tgdi's performance will compensate for the lost liters I hope so.
@@sixaxis222 The media site only contains a 'preliminary' spec sheet, so maybe some markets based their brochures on that. If you watch my recent C4 video, there are three different acceleration and fuel economy figures for the same engine and transmission variant depending on the market.

Very nice video again, Marek. I love your comments and your nice camera work (except the *ahem* flickering LED front- and rearlights *ahem* ) Unfortunately the 308 is no match for it's big brothers 3008/5008 and does not even come close to their style.
