A year later, Ensso has these pens on sale for $59 on their website. They also have their Italia in Ultem on sale as well. I just ordered the minimalist and I’ll be ordering the Italia in a couple weeks.
I got the titanium one for Christmas and I am happy with it. It’s the same size as my Kaweco Liliput. I have smallish hands so don’t often post, and I like that the ēnsso has a pull cap which is handy for quick notes. One of these days I want Schon Dsgn Pocket 6.
Really wanting a eyedropper pen, however my new hobby happens to be expensive! 😂. I love the Ultem material. I will do some saving, and hopefully they will still be available. Thank you David for all the amazing videos.
Hehe. They have this ensso engraving even on their japanese ebonite pen (kickstarter). In your review you had said they didnt brand it and for long even i didn't notice..
Thanks for the review! I have the Ensso XS Minimalist in titanium, however my wife commandeered it (so now it's a "purse pen" instead of a "pocket pen"). I may have to purchase the Ultem model so I have one of my own.
It's a very cool design. I have the ēnsso Piuma Pocket Ti, as i collect #6 nib pocket pens, but the XS is very attractive and well thought out. I don't, however, like exposed o rings. I have a few pens with that form factor, but it's a weakness in the design.
Thanks David for the review. It is way too small for me to use on a regular basis. Like you I have shied away from pocket pens. The closest I have come to it is the Pilot E95S which seems to be a bit wider than the xs.
Thank you for the review of the XS Minimalist. It was interesting. I have an Ensso Pocket Piuma which "folds up" to a very small package, which is perfect to fit in my metal wallet along side my IDs and bank cards. It becomes an almost standard sized pen when posted, and has a huge nib. It is great. This one looks way too small to be comfortable for me to use, however, so I will have to take a pass on this one.
I'm uncertain of their future models, but they release new things on a regular basis. It wouldn't surprise me if there were more titanium models in the future.
I can happily forego pen clips. If you want to carry your pen in a shirt pocket - don't. Want to convert the button opening of your polo shirt into a pen holder - don't. As for clips on Urushi pens, I'll say nothing, it'll play havoc with my blood pressure. Having said all that I think this little Ultem number, for purely aesthetic reasons mind you, could carry (there's a joke in there somewhere) a brass Snake clip. One of those which coil around the pen a couple of times. Perhaps with Ruby eyes or maybe that's going too far.
Schondsgn makes a pocket pen and is successful, Ensso make a pocket pen Schondsgn makes a pen in Ultem, Ensso makes a pen in Ultem Kaweco has a removable clip, Ensso makes a removable clip. One would almost think Ensso is a Chinese company instead of Italian... 🤔
Nice little pen, thanks for the show. I believe it is the first Ultem pen I've seen under $200. A good trend.

I really like the pen!! Great review Mr David

I have the Schon Design Pocket 6 in the same coloring scheme! The Schon is a Great Pen, but I do like the one Ennso pen I have.

HI! In description on the Ensso website its is doesn't mentioned that you can fill this model with eyedropper. Does it holds well ink in it`s body?
I can confirm it does if the threads are greased like in the video

11:50 here in Pakistan the peacocks are definitely closer to the one on the left so your probably right about peacocks in India bluer
It's is more of greenish blue though
David, do you have any insight into whether Ensso will ever produce any more full size titanium pens? Those pocket pens just aren't for me.

I see little actual value in clips, but on the other hand they don't particularly bug me. Unless they are on the wrong end of the pen.
