    Great idea.
You've shown us that any inexpensive rotateable TV antenna can provide a low cost rotator for our HAM projects.
    Excellent........

Thanks. Its not perfect but it's for a small loop or 2m/70cm Yagi etc. 73

@@ado75 Can you tell me why my Anker 15600 mAh USB battery charger/battery pack is shutting down when attempting to power my MLA-30 Active Loop Antenna??? Is there a simple cure to this dilemma? Thanks

@@ObamaoZedong No just when it's appropriate. Example: You are in your own house, in your shack, You took it off. What kind of subliminal message were you conveying. I digress; no vax here, finally got covid 19 on 11/22 was the mildest flu that I have ever had, 66yrs and have had lung and brain cancer. This scam turned the world upside down and made big Pharma even richer than ever (considering they have more assets than almost every country in the world combined) not to mention mask mfg. Also, consider the cry wolf syndrome, Herd immunity.
They're not even wearing masks in hospitals anymore. Could continue but I think I made the point. 73

What was the rotator you used?

Would love to buy one, but can't find it for sale in the UK. Where did you get it?

Hi Peter. I got mine from a UK site. on Amazon The Antenna is similar to this - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150mile-4K-1080P-Outdoor-Amplified-HDTV-TV-Antenna-Digital-UHF-VHF-360-Rotation/264230544873?hash=item3d855e25e9:g:3JQAAOSw7kxdTfLk
There are a few makes by the looks of it but they all seem pretty generic.

    Good idea Adrian,
you could however also use the V / U directive for TV with the MLA attached above ... you had a "system" of directional receptive antenna complete revolving ...

Giuseppe, I know you are the Antenna Jedi Master. Do you think the "TV" antenna would perform as well as the loop?

    • @qrpradiolistner7232
      @qrpradiolistner7232 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@ado75 I would also try that directive for the V / U radios ... you may have some nice surprises ... having them on a single rotor you did bingo ...
      Let me know.
      Ciao. Giuseppe.

@@qrpradiolistner7232 Thanks Giuseppe. I never thought of it that way. I'll use the loop first and see what the noise levels are like, then I'll put the Yagi elements back on and do a comparison. Thanks again. 73

      @@ado75 I meant a mixed antenna system ... HF / VUhf ...
as you have seen from my videos I built some crossed loops for the HF and a loop in the center dedicated to the V / Uhf ...
I would have built your loop above the directive in order to have 2 antennas with an extended and different frequency range ...it's a shame not to use the Yagi directive anymore ...
I'm sorry for making this remark.
      a greeting from Formia.
