Baby Elephant Playing with her Favorite Human!

Love baby elephants? Love seeing them roam free? Meet Gilly - the baby Thai elephant who loves playing with her favorite humans, shoes, and basically anything she can get her trunk on!
Footage is from my Journey to Freedom volunteer week, a 7 day educational and volunteer program in the mountains of the Chiang Mai area in northern Thailand. Through the wonderful work of Lek Chailert at Elephant Nature Park, here elephants roam the forest back in their natural habitat - under the watchful guidance of their own mahoots to make sure they don't stray too far!
There were several elephants in the area, including baby Gilly and her mom. Sometimes we trekked into the forest to find them, and sometimes they came to camp - Gilly was always excited to play with her absolute favorite human, our program guide Yo!
