Major 7th is common convention in jazz. So the triangle is commonly used. You can change to jazz style by going to Format - Style - then scroll down to Chord Symbols. Change from Standard to Jazz and press ok. It gives the jazz palette on left side column with triangle included.
Thanks for the video, really good!! About the triangle, I think they also call it delta, but actually is used for major chords that has a major seventh within , this means if you write C with the delta symbol on it, this would mean Cmajor7 also known as Cmaj7 in jazz, is a really common chord to use in the most used jazz progression: ii - V7 - I ( or two, five, one progression). But just to clarify if you wanna write a basic C major chord (C-E-G) then I wouldn't use the delta symbol, cause that implies the major seventh ( C- E - G - B ) and maybe you actually want a "basic" C major instead of adding the seventh. Many jazz books like the Jamey Aebersold's "Scale Syllabus" or the Jerry Cocker's "Patterns for Jazz" explain about this symbols. Sorry about my grammar, I hope you understand the concept behind the symbol.
Using your backing track sheet music as an example, if I wanted to change from the key of C to the key of D, can MuseScore automatically change the chord labels to the new key or am I stuck manually changing them one at a time? Thanks!
can you do a vid on adding newly created custom symbols to the musescore app- adding .png's doesn't work worth a damn - so if I make .svg's how do I get em in there? help me obi wan your my only hope?
Yes, the triangle is essential, Maj7 often just takes up too much space. But I'm not getting the triangle with Ctrl shift 6, and that's on two different computers and I've tried the normal 6 or the numerals pad. Anyone know another way to get it?
On my Windows 10 keyboard, to insert the triangle requires Ctrl+Shift+6. For my money, when I see C^ that automatically implies a CMaj7th chord. (A capital C is already a major chord, right?) I couldn't display that triangle here though. :)
Nice Video! Do you know how to copy and paste chord changes over and over again. I am arranging a jazz piece and the chord changes repeat every 32 bars, I hope i wont need to manually enter every chord for every chorus.
If you’re going to copy and paste measure, select the first measure (make sure it’s blue), and then when you go to select the last measure, hold shift (or control depending on your computer) and click. It’ll select all 32 measures. This will copy and paste everything (to copy, control C, to paste, control V). This will paste everything, and you can edit the notes from there. That seems to be easiest. Happy composing!
Man you don't know how much you are helping us. Thanks a lot

Yep...used in jazz a lot.
Thanks! I was wondering how to make the major symbol.
The zero is recognized as half diminished, but how do you enter a diminished symbol?
How do you do flats?
The Δ is used for major7 chords. Btw, thanks for the nice tutorial :)
Thank you! And yes I realized that after making the video, oops
How do I write roman numerals with the inversions?
How can I get a realistic chord playback sound for guitars?
How can I do to play a specific chord with my midi keyboard and musescore to write the chord automatically?

I tried Ctrl+Shift+6 on my Windows 10, I get a square box and when I lift up it disappears.
Great!. Very Simple. Thanks a lot.

Actually the triangle refers to a chord with a Major 7th. Like C E G B.
Which is faster to read for fast tunes. :)
gracias
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
