  • Tons of animating later, and we’ve got a wonderful visual video, hopefully the first of its kind! Don’t be scared by anatomically correct Pladdie. Lots of new changes coming to the channel, including that new outro sequence, a higher quality introductory fanfare, and Wiblix walking us through videos with pictures!

    It’s probably more likely that, instead of Banjaws literally being dead Pladdies, they’re just vaguely related species. Several bios mention that evolution occurs within the monster world, so it wouldn’t be surprising if they had some common ancestor but diverged quite far from each other. Although, considering the anatomical differences, it’s probably more likely that they just convergently evolved to have the same structure of having a mouth of some base with eyes atop a long tube-stalk type thing.

    Maybe evolution over time ended up in a few ways
    1: Pladdie started decaying but evolving to the point where its pipes became legs and it eventually grew arms
    2: Banjaw evolved into pladdie giving it skin, while making its eye sockets slightly bigger, then turning the banjo ligament into a flexible air sack, as well as turning its legs into pipes and maybe the arms got turned into another feature of the skeletal structure over time.

    Actually, it is stated in Banjaw's description; "Banjaw's principle tendon is 37 times stretchier than a Stritch Skin, 42 times tougher than a Diamond, and 100 times twangier than, well - anything!"
    Now while this could mean the tendon can be pulled a great deal without breaking, it could also mean that it is actually very flexible.

    The pipes could actually be shells like a hermit crab. Since bones are hollow, banjaw evolved and adapted to a new form, after decaying. Also you see the little scar marks in the bottom and top of the "string" of banjaw? it also might be shell because when you see banjaw open its mouth, some pink flesh extends to the top, like lungs!

  • @beastteacher4162
    @beastteacher4162 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    i have a couple theories on the past of bone island that may give clues on the bone elementals. in the bone island trailer, we see stogg entering bone island through a tunnel in fire haven, if fire haven had sunk under the ocean after the presumed extinction of the fire elementals, bone island may have flooded several times in history (thus the puddles of water, tropical plants, fishy skulls and sharks) i believe that bone island was once open to the open sunlight and was a thriving coral reef that got encased by volcanic activity, the bones of the previous residents now relics of the island's former glory. i believe a previously aquatic critter is the building block of what a bone island monster is, a Frankenstein of mismatched bones and cartilage controlled by these critters as a way of defence and as tools, this can explain the strangely out of place multi coloured legs of clackula and the half buried body of uuduk, they are bone shells around some kind of hyper-intelegent composite-amorphous organism.

    Creeptanium states that Pladdie evolved into Banjaw.
    However, maybe Banjaw is an extinct ancestor of Pladdie that evolved into Pladdie. Not only that, but Banja is a fossilized specimen of the ancestor. Also, if this is true, Pladdie has changed significantly from its ancestor. For one, Pladdie can squish its head down. Also, its legs evolved into pipes. These are physical changes.
    Element-wise, as he states in the video, the Faerie element harmlessly changes into Bone. For my theory, this is going to be vice versa, with Bone changing into Faerie. The fire element stays the same, and Banjaw's Water element freezes into the Cold element, which is also stated in the video. As for Earth, it is possible that, since he stated the Faerie and Earth elements fused into bone. However, I believe that Bone separated into Earth and Faerie. It is stated in the video that Pladdie uses an air sac to produce its sound. I believe that Banjaw traded its tendon for an air sac by removing the tendon and separating its eyes from the rest of its skeleton. Or, since Creeptanium stated that Pladdie's air sac could have dried up and become its tendon, maybe Banjaw's tendon moistened and expanded like a sponge to form an air sac. However, this is not plausible at all, since air sacs are hollow. Not only that, but Pladdie's pipes are actually bones that fused the joints together to become one solid bone. Furthermore, they became tubes to produce sound. The same thing happened to Banjaw's arms, which became more pipes.

    The whole body of Banjaw has a different color than it’s neck, so is it possible that when Pladdie dies and his neck is replaced with a fake/real bone?
    *So here is my theory:* Pladdie had a great time but then Pladdie died of old age and went into a skeleton. The bone people like Crackula made Pladdie horn into legs and made 2 legs into 2 hands to pull Banjaw’s (Pladdie’s) neck. They made a fake bone or a real bone on bone island and made a neck bone out of it. I mostly think it’s a fake bone for the neck because how can it bend and make music? *Anyway that’s my Pladdie to Banjaw theory but what if Banjaw turned into Pladdie?*
    *Banjaw to Pladdie Theory:*
    This wouldn’t be possible because Fairie Island was in December 11, 2019 and Bone island was in April, 2020 however let’s get into this.
    One day Pladdie died and had to be skeleton in bone island and sing in that island. One day a fairy saw Banjaw (skeleton of Pladdie) and went to Fairy Island to call the other fairies to help Banjaw turn into Pladdie (his normal self). So they brought Banjaw there and healed Banjaw into Pladdie again. Yes that’s probably why it’s named Fairie island. And he had a great day that day.
    *Bona-petite must be mad*
    Don’t be angry in chat because this is my theory, I want to hear yours.

  • @creebotthegreat4159
    @creebotthegreat4159 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    As you stated, Banjaw has a tendon that is rigid. It would make sense that upon turning into bone, what was a flexible tendon allowing Pladdie to compress became a stiff bony tendon.
    As for the eyes, Eyeballs could've dried out after turning and appear way too small compared to the orbits.
    Also, keep in mind some bone monsters rebuild themselves using other bones they find, which could explain the arms, and maybe the skull too.

    and the fact that bone island comes after faerie island makes this theory better

  • @Hi_Hour
    @Hi_Hour ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Well, Pladdie’s fairy element might allow it to alter its appearance and it’s bone/body strength, as fairies are related to all types of magic. Banjaw’s rare form also shows patches of red flesh. This might be part of the Pladdie’s plaid pattern, but not likely.

    2. The long arms of Banjaw is resting inside Pladdie
    3. The horns of Pladdie decayed into Banjaw’s legs.

    Now wait a minute! Banjaw can open its jaw,so what I'd pladdie had it's teeth open with it's lips closed,it's possible to do,try it. My theory is the it closes its jaw to compress it's self,that sorta explains it,maybe the pressure of the pladdie forces it down? Maybe pladdie is heavier than it seems? Idk,also maybe the arms grew due to the farie and rock mixing?
    Edit: or maybe it's just rare pladdies skeleton,like you said at the end of the video

    Maybe the skeleton of a pladdie is a seperate creature in its own rite, the skeleton soft and mushy. In Pladdies torso is the undeveloped, soft tendon, rolled up into a vaguely bulbous shape with the head inside. the legs of Banjaw are stronger and are inside of the 'pipes' of the Pladdie, supporting
    them. And the arms are also inside the conical structure inside Pladdie. A pladdie eventually loses its ability to compress, due to the parasitic skeleton growing within. The tendon of Banjaw will stretch and stretch, until it inevitably rips through the poor Pladdie's neck, after which it will begin its migration to bone island, dragging the decaying corpse with it to sustain itself when nessescary. underline nesseSCARY, this is gruesome, yet beautiful in a grotesque way. Peace.

    Now I don't necessarily think pladdie is banjaw but it could be a possibility but here is a thing that could be supporting cloudy being banjaw in banJaws bio it says his tendon is very stretchy but in your video you said it is hard and it cannot stretch and go up and down but in the body according to MSM it can stretch so you should probably make an update video about that

    Cmon, guys. Pladdie is an invertebrate if it somehow "died", it would just be a lot of muscles. Besides, we never really see evidence of it's "bones", only evidence that says it doesn't. He doesn't have teeth, it is very flexible, and it even looks like an octopus. Unless it's exit thingies are considered bones, its not banjaw.

    I have a solution to make it work, it's a bit of a stretch but it works. So it's eyes could have shrunk when it decayed? Maybe pladdy's eyes were on the skull rather that inside it. This may sound a bit farfetched, but these are weird creatures from another world so eyes might work differently . You explained the tendon so I'll go with that. Banjaw's legs could have been holding up the tubes rather than being the hollow tubes. This makes it at least possible for it to work with the anatomy and sound. Finally, the arms could have been sort of like ribs to compress the air sack in pladdie, they are connected to the mouth part so pladdie could still compress.

    I think it is pladdie, if we look at bellow fish, his arms extend and retract, pladdie retracts too, so after years is pulling and pushing, it became hard.

    banjaw also has teeth all around it but pladdie has only a few teeth.
    also you showed us the skeleton of him and we saw a few feet that looked just like banjaw's and as you said how would the pipes become banjaw's feet well what if his pipes fell off and let the rest of his skin peel off becoming banjaw of course there's also the arms there is no possible way he could have had those to start with but in the bone island trailer we see stogg fall into a pile of bones and there has to be a way for them to get to bone island and back to the bone piles so armless banjaw might have moved over there picked up enough bones to make arms and put them on and we know pladdie's pipes had a few sticky substances in them because normal pipes cannot create that sound there must've been something making that sound so he can basically glue the bones on making arms then adjust to the arms making him play new music.
