@@AP-gb3ehyoutube just took away my comment. Absolutely, had a gay guy ( a cook where I was a busboy in a restaurant )...I used to have to hide and go to different bus stops as he was always parked out front of my high-school! That was early '80s.
Good one! Getcha Getcha Getcha Getcha ❤. There was a CD out in the late 90’s? that basically club/techno mixed several Blondie songs; it is FANTASTIC and the remix of this song was the best! Debbie Harry lives in my town in NJ; the much nicer side 😂. Her career started in NYC; I grew up there; we all seemed to make the move to Jersey, lol. Can still see the city though from the end of my road ❤
My first love was Blondie, I fell in love with her in 5th grade which for me was 1979. I really think if her and I had met we coulda made it work, even though I was 10 and she was 34. LOL.
She is Debbie Harry, the leader singer of the group Blondie. Including Clem Burk and Chris Stein. There were 2 more members but their name's escape me.
@@kevinwalsh9788 I'll always call her Blondie. Did you know at the time I fell for her she was also dating Chris Stein, when I was 10 I was oblivious to that fact, he was obviously a slug and couldn't keep her happy, so I know her and I coulda made it work. LOL
What version did you dig up?? 😂 This is DEFINITELY not the original album version. Very similar, but not the same. Almost has a demo feel to it. Also, if you want to really hear and see hardcore Blondie, you need to react to the official video for Detroit 442.
This is when they re-recorded their old hits like 10 years ago so that they could actually make money off them. I think there’s studio trickery on Debbie’s vocals to try to get her to sound younger than she was. Too bad he didn’t listen to the original!
Blonde was cutting edge at the time . Really the first popular wave of that genre . Plus Debbie was sexy !
she was an early rap pioneer also.
She was sexy....sorta Marilyn Monroe-ish
Your looks are right-on, song penned about a stalker that Debra dealt with back in the days prior to stalking being a mainstream danger. Good one!
Stalking was mainstream before. It’s as old as time. Nobody gave a 💩 if you were lucky you had large friends who would forcibly have a chat with them

Just FYI to those who don't know, Blondie is the name of the group. Debbie Harry is the lead singer of the group
I did not know, thanks!
Check out their songs "Call me", "The Tide is High" and "Atomic". Also, their song "Maria" is one of their last hits years after when they were stars.
This is a re-recording. Here's the 1978 original...th-cam.com/video/Fnb1xYDViDs/w-d-xo.html
Thank you!
Clam Burke rocked on the drums, as he usually did. Watch it done live below 1979

Debbie Harry.... One look at her...The band name was a natural.
Thanks for doing a different blonde song than everybody else does. This is a rarer and earlier version of this song I hadn’t heard.
This version is a new remake. From Blondie 4(0) released 2014.
Debbie Harry the original hard ass rock chick.

Tha cut!
This is Metal Blondie. Name the genre and they’ve got a song.
An original. "Dreaming" and "Atomic". Form Burke is a top 10 drummer.
This Blondie song always reminded me of Chrissie and the Pretenders.
❤
I suggest you check it out live! Also Kung Fu Girl, live.
This is from the album of their songs that they re-recorded - the original version is better.
F#ck you tube censoring!!!
The original was waaaay better, a purer rawer sound its well worth a listen,also;
