Dr. Ian has evolved his scope of interest and has moved from being a humble potato into the spudliest of spuds 😎 Kidding aside, excellent and enlightening conversation, both on the state of play among chip and AI companies, as well as the evolution of tech media.
Y'all are always great, but this episode was packed with a more meta/big-picture analysis of the ChipWorld™ (what Dr. Cutress will change the name of PCWorld to after the rumored acquisition I am totally not making up right now). I hope more people decide they are willing to pay their favorite creators for all the work they do.

I did the same thing for AI tasks two systems, Nivida has the A5000 series GPUs made for AI, 3D modeling and rendering which are excellent for on-prem use. While you can use the AMD 7000 or 4000 series gpu's for games I would wait for next Gen to release.

Probably the only time I've heard my current and former employers mentioned in the same video/podcast

Since a lot of quartz comes from Japan, that is why some watches will say Japan movement.

9:18 because Milton S. Hershey needed a way to use sour milk to cut costs and invented the "Hershey Process" which results in lots of butyric acid making American chocolate taste just awful. It was not because of rations. If you think about it only a tiny fraction of people ate rations, that story makes no sense.
