People were still coming in at the end of Trumps speech but some people left due to the long wait, no shade, lack of speakers and unable to get a good view of the stage.

I got in right when trump took stage but i couldn't get within 50 yards of him because of the way they had him boxed in and the crowd size. When Trump was on stage the line leading out was still about half as long as when I got there but people started leaving probably realizing he would be done before they could get in. The media box was directly in front of Trump and most of the crowd was stuck behind the media box.

One thing I'm genuinely curious about was how the hell that situation was allowed to transpire when it was well documented online that this gathering was going to occur, and that it was primarily a mass scale protest / attempt to delay the certification of the election. Surely the people in charge of coordinating the police presence/security should have had a National Guard presence there, we just had a summer filled w/ politically charged rioting/violence, and then a very contested/volatile election season and election.
Idk, the people who were in charge of coordinating that should be fired. There's zero excuse for it devolving into the chaos and disorder that it did...and they never should have been able to breach a federal building by force like that.
