Awesome performance! Dave's cameo is fun, but more notably, The Breeders sound tight. Kim looks & sounds fabulous, the only negative is Dave Grohl overshadowed Kelley's playing but her smiles showed she was enjoying sharing the stage with their tour mate Dave. Thank you for sharing with us!
I saw The Breeders followed by the Foo Fighters, back-to-back at Riot Fest, for probably the best (musical) part of the entire fest. That being said, I was really shocked Dave didn't join them on anything, or vice versa, even. In fairness, Breeders were playing Last Splash in entirety, and I think they only played 2 pod songs, one as the closer. My only qualm with that night/2 performances is they didn't do something like this. I kept waiting for Grohl to pop out and a cover of Gigantic to ensue, and I hadn't even seen this footage until just now. Ah well, it was still great. Second time seeing the Breeders and first time since 2003, so 20 years had passed.... in which I did see Pixies with Kim still with them 11 different times somehow. I got my fill there for sure. I hope the Breeders keep pumping, put new music out, and tour. They were so good at Riot Fest. The harmonies.... First time I saw the Foo Fighters live, and by the time they came on, my friend and I had wiggled pretty close to the right-side of the stage. I have poor vision but it was a nice vantage point. They were unbelievable and way beyond my expectations. The grass felt like it was shaking beneath me at times. Josh Freese is unbelievable and fits in like the perfect sized shoe. I found myself looking at the big screens anytime it would zoom in on Freese.... That guy is just a monster behind that kit. What a resume. Anyway, both bands were fantastic, and I feel fortunate to have seen them- festival or otherwise. But I truly expected them to do something like this and that is before I had even seen this clip, since I believe RF was a few days before this anyway. This is my first time viewing it. Ah well. My other prediction is Dave starts talking about Naked Raygun did come true.... heh. Did they actually tour together? I didn't know they were. Just saw them back-to-back as co and main headliners on day 1 of RF, which was a few days or so before this. I really hope the Breeders do a pod album show/tour at some point. I actually saw PIxies play Doolittle, and that was pretty awesome + especially because they did some b-siders like Into the White, one of the best songs Kim sings on that nobody seems to know of. Anyway, this upload is great- thank you!

How dare she perform this song without The Pixies? Kim and her cover band! Just Kim, No Deal! Actually, I just wanted to get in the head of a complaining “Purist” Pixies fan. So silly! “The Stones should have stopped when Brian Jones passed away, The Pistols should have immediately stopped when Glen Matlock left, The Yardbirds should have immediately stopped making music when Eric Clapton quit…. BORING!” Always great to hear Kim and the Breeders!
Couldn’t get their enthusiasm to be associated with dreadful Nirvana. The breeders is far superior as musicians and songwriters. Kelley and Josephine rather look nonplussed..Since Kim invited him again, we’d pretend to enjoy performing together.
There was never any real enthusiasm to be associated with them. Cobain was a fan of Deal and effusive in his praise for her songwriting. She never really made that mutual. The Breeders accepted the invite to open for Nirvana on two different tours (and why wouldn’t they?) but that was it.
Kim looks FANTASTIC. 🎉 I am so glad she and the Breeders are having a great time ❤
