Having a pride night is one thing. Inviting a group that disrespects Christian and catholic faiths is not going to go over well in this county is so prominent. We all have different beliefs and that’s just fine. When you mock other religions don’t be surprising when you catch heat.

You’re right about how MLB and the teams are acting like pride night is a trend. It shouldn’t be. They should be doing to actually show support rather than cover their asses
I think a lot of people are missing the point of why it can be good to have a pride night. LGBTIA+ people are still not accepted by many groups of people in the US and major organizations like the MLB having a night celebrating those people and saying that they are accepted is important not just for the baseball world(where there are a lot of non-accepting people) but for our entire country. However I'm not saying that the rangers have to have a pride night, but the people that say it is annoying to see other teams and places have a pride night are a part of the problem and are why pride nights should exist.
Years ago i took a bartending course in NJ. The instructor stressed to never discuss politics or religion with your customers. It's bad for the atmosphere & will decrease your tip money. Go woke go broke.
I sure hope you call the Catholic church and southern baptists worse things since those groups have had actual cases of child sex abuse you do know the vast majority of sexual grooming is carried out by heterosexual white men, right? as a straight catholic white guy myself i can acknowledge that because i’m not ignorant to it but projecting onto a group of people based on conspiracy theories about grooming while ignoring religious institutions who regularly have proven abuse scandals is a bit backwards, no?
The fact that Jacob Degrom has it in his contract that they can't hold a pride month while he's contracted is the reason why the Rangers aren't holding one. It's a contractual obligation, not an official stance. The Rangers decided that getting him for their rotation was more important, which is ironic since he had to get TJ, only threw 30 1/3 innings this season, and will miss the lion's share of NEXT season. I want to make this clear, I'm not wishing ill on the man, I just find it interesting that the clause ends up in the contract, and he ends up needing TJ IN PRIDE MONTH.
Pride night shouldn’t be involved with sports teams. Football doesn’t have one so why does every one else. It’s just stupid that it’s becoming a whole issue
I saw this on Twitter I think, but I agree with the comment that it’d be great for teams to opt-in to pride night or other events, instead of opting out. Let players who want to wear pride pins and wristbands wear one, and don’t make those who don’t want to wear one. Same goes for Independence Day, mothers and Father’s Day, and other salute to service. Don’t force players into representing things they either don’t want to or don’t care about. This way, the representation on the field feels more authentic, and fans can actually see players be honest and transparent on where their views are for different events. I feel like this will be better for everyone, because surely there are players on the rangers who would want to represent pride, and players on the dodgers who don’t want to. This is a happy medium and doesn’t force players into doing something they don’t want to

I‘m assuming that you‘re hetero. It is about conveying attention and acceptance to the topic. So that "normal" people are reminded to accept minorities and also to recognize that you are normal even if you don't go with the normal flow. Having a pride night is one thing. Inviting a group that disrespects Christian and catholic faiths is not going to go over well in this county is so prominent. We all have different beliefs and that’s just fine. When you mock other religions don’t be surprising when you catch heat.
Religions persecuting people for their right to love who they love. If the roles were reversed and religious people were persecuted, you'd change your tune. One celebrates individual freedom and the right for all of us to love whoever we like, the other wants to control free loving Americans and decide what they can or cannot do. Christians disrespect human rights. How can you compare that to Pride? Such a braindead argument.
Respect yoir right to oppress others? Fuck that.
I'm not even a catholic but that group is clearly disturbing and belongs no where near any baseball event centered around "acceptance".

Why does or should any MLB team celebrate anyone’s sexuality? If you think about it for yourself, it’s not anyone else’s concern other than that person nor should it be. Period.
He said it. “Being pushed on everybody.”
Shouldn’t it be normal. Shouldn’t we accept it?! Shouldn't we accept all people regardless of gender, sexuality (I mean hetero or homo. Not pedophilia or anything, but that's a completely different topic now), religion or origin. Because if we don't do that, it sounds very inhuman to me.
@@linus4693why do they need others to accept their sexuality? No ones cares if you're gay anymore. We all have gay friends/family. People are simply tired of hearing about it. It's that simple. People are tired of being called bigots for no reason.
@@linus4693 Most people actually don't care about your sexuality, religion, or origin enough to hate. Ironically, what comes naturally for a lot of people---being selfish and not caring enough about strangers personal choices--should BE what we strive for but it is making it harder for me to NOT roll my eyes at you guys whenever a bunch of freaks come on the news and say they represent you.
I mean, did you see the 2SLGBTQI+ Press Conference? They got the whole circus (I mean, look at the picture of the people they gathered for it) to dress like complete idiots. The lady on the microphone messed up the acronym like twice--and they have the audacity to propose that messing up pronouns is equal to a hate crime. It's just gross.

Why I’m a ranger fan
For real, I don't even live within 1000 miles of the Rangers, but they have been my favorite team since 2010. Because of the atmosphere

One of the few things the Rangers do right. No groomer night
I sure hope you call the Catholic church and southern baptists worse things since those groups have had actual cases of child sex abuse
you do know the vast majority of sexual grooming is carried out by heterosexual white men, right?
as a straight catholic white guy myself i can acknowledge that because i’m not ignorant to it
but projecting onto a group of people based on conspiracy theories about grooming while ignoring religious institutions who regularly have proven abuse scandals is a bit backwards, no?
That’s catchy
When I go to baseball games, I'm there to watch the game and have some good food.
good on The Rangers.
The Texas Rangers: 2023 World Series Champions.
Congratulations!
I suddenly love the Rangers now.
I’m bi and even I hate pride stuff being shoved down everyone’s throats
This is a happy medium and doesn’t force players into doing something they don’t want to
The only reasonable comment I’ve read under this video. I fucking hate seeing people call LGBTQ+ people perverted because I’ve been surrounded by them my entire life. People should be able to make their own individual choice if it makes both sides happier, fr.

Am i wrong in thinking SUPPORT should be genuine and not forced?
Forcing a team to show support is literally just a ploy to sell merchandise for MLB shareholders and increase profits just like every corporation does in june. But that same forcing of someone to participate in something that goes against thier religious beliefs is literally illegal.

They don't give af. Tbh the majority of the ones who go to pride night only go to that 1 night and forget the rest of the season. The Dodgers front office screwed themselves with that decision to bring that group in. I'm guessing no research was done or anything and now look at them. Lol
