As a kid I was lucky enough to have a footplate ride on ''The Bug'' up and down New Romney station, was making me beam all day after that, those memories stay with you forever :)
Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway that'll have been a lovely experience for them, it's a memory that will stay with them forever. The bug has always been my favourite ever since that ride in her cab. I hope Green Goddess is doing better after her accident.
Great Wolf Western Railroad. I hate to be 'picky', but it was modeled on a Canadian Pacific loco. The two of them - 'Winston Churchill' and 'Dr. Syn' - were my favourite locos when I was a kid and we had holidays in Dymchurch. The railway ran across the back of the garden. I loved it. Incidentally, they both had 'Vanderbilt' tenders back then and I still think they looked better with them. Apparently they had a tendency to leak, so they were rebuilt into 'standard' RH&DR bogie tenders.
What a great video loved it and the cab ride(lucky you)was great I'd be beaming all day having a job driving one of those locos all day be the best job in the world. Kev
- Merci pour cette vidéo très intéressante qui montre la locomotive sous de multiples aspects. - Thank you for this video very interesting which shows the engine under multiple aspects.

Lea Fewell. Big small engines. They don't come much bigger in the 'miniature railway' class. They were never toys, either. They were designed to work hard and work hard they do - twelve car trains (packed during the summer) at 25-30 mph is a tough 'turn.' The Ffestiniog Railway in Wales on 1'11.5" gauge are all small big engines - all the way up to 2-6-2+2-6-2 ex South African Railways Garrets - they are lovely and they work hard too.
Of all the videos about the mini trains this the better one pity we can't see the engineer in action not sure if its safety thing or what, maybe someone might steal the train
I am so pissed off about all these fkn ads, including Dick Smith. How greedy Google must be to destroy TH-cam? Where did all these fkn devils come from? TH-cam was never like this. No rest for the wicked.
Lovely steam locomotive, got a great photograph of Winston Churchill on the turntable, on a visit to the RHDR.
This is an amazing railroad. The detail and quality of the rolling stock is superb. Thanks for sharing.

Hi David, funnily enough The Bug has been trundling from New Romney to Romney Warren Halt all this week for the children.

I love how this loco looks, it’s a great mix of American and British locos

Beautiful machine
Very nice👍.
Great camera work!
Would you describe these as big small engines or small big engines? Either way they are magnificent.

Brilliant!
Are these like little steam trains ,?

確か世界最小の公共鉄道でしたよね。このロムニー鉄道は。
What size scale is the locomotive?
The track gauge is 15".
@@StuartMiskin thanks. Makes me wonder how big a 8 or 9 gauge? Its pretty cool. Do you know a website that sell smaller trains like a 9 gauge?
How fast do they run the trains?
I think their normal max speed is 30 mph.
MyLoveOfRailways line speed is 25mph but often they run closer to 20mph.
Line limit is 25 but Ive been on one at 30mph and it sounds like a browning machine gun 😂
