yo Kevin - this is a great call! For the waxed exterior, we recommend spot cleaning only with a damp, clean cloth or rag. No soap, just water. For the flannel lining, you can add a small amount of detergent or scent beads/aromatics to the water to take any smell out. Use damp cloth or rag to apply water to lining. Don't saturate the lining too much - we don't want to damage the canvas. Go back over the wet areas with a clean, dry cloth/rag to soak up any residual water and air dry.

I'm 6'3/6'4 (193cm) or what you americans say. I ordered a XXL in the Tall version, because I normally wear 38x32 in jeans and pants, so my torso is compared to my legs quite long. Furthermore I'm 253 lbs (115kg) and my chest measured to be the closest to a size XXL, so I hope I made the right decision buying this jacket. We'll see when it arrives in a couple of weeks. Can't wait!

I pulled the trigger on the unlined one you guys had on sale plus an additional 15 percent off. Thank you, thank you. I then bought the lined one in coal because the unlined one was field tan. Love them both. The unlined one is a bit more roomy. That's ok because I'll be layering it. The field tan has a bit of a olive undertone. Which I liked. I think a light tan/khaki would stand out a bit. I like to fly under the radar.
Regarding the lined jacket, did you buy your typical size and is there room to wear a hoodie or flannel underneath? I was looking at the standard fit and usually wear a small. I am hoping to that it will look well fitted with just a tee but also while layering.

Since these are waxed jackets, it is normal for them to pick up some dirt and lint along the way. As you wear the jacket more, you will notice it becomes less and less!
I just ordered one but agonized about the sizing on this thing. I ordered a Medium based on the measurements given on the site and the specs on the dude modeling (I’m 6’1 & 175lbs). But then you’re wearing an XL @ 6’2 220lbs which fits you well. Seems like every other source besides the sizing chart says I need a large. Hoping it fits! If not I appreciate your return policy.

I heard some waxed jackets might feel slightly sticky and might have some distinct smell. Would that go away over time? Also, what happens if you never re-wax the jacket? Would it just look and feel like any other regular jacket?
Not sure about the smell, but in my experience the tackiness goes away with wear. It'll probably never get to the point of looking like a normal jacket, but rewaxing just makes sure the jacket stays water resistant and renews the patina.
I've tried a few waxed jackets and this jacket is definitely waxed but not to the point where it smells or feels wet/greasy like some others do. You can feel it slightly through the flannel in the sleeves initially but not enough that it's really bothersome. I tried another jacket that felt and smelled like it was soaked in diesel fuel, and when I touched it my hand looked almost wet. The F&T has no real smell to it and doesn't feel gross.
It's definitely a little warmer than the flannel-lined version. Between the wool and an extra 1.25 oz of sailcloth, the wool-line probably adds another 5+ degrees of warmth but same as the flannel-lined, it's more about how you layer it.
Okay that's all great but perhaps I can ask the cleaning question in a different way: what do I do if it reeks of cigarettes, or it gets dropped in the mud?
Yo! For cigarettes - we have heard success stories of using fabric freshener/Febreeze on the flannel lining ONLY to cover/reduce the smell. DO NOT apply it to the waxed exterior. As for mud, the waxed canvas should help protect/repel the mud but don't let it dry. Wipe off when wet with a very damp cloth, no soap only water.

These jackets look really great but they only have one pocket. Trucker jackets traditionally have two pockets in the front and the asymmetry is killing me. Please make a version with two pockets.👍

I want to order this jacket but I see the only company that sells it is Huckberry. I ordered a Danner hat from your site and it was garbage. I still have it in the box it was shipped it. Never wore it. It was a $25 hat and I wasn’t gonna spend $20 in gas driving to the closet FedEx to return it. Since that hat I ordered from this company is garbage, I’m not sure I wanna spend that much on this jacket and have it turn out to be garbage too.

Regarding cleaning and care, You forgot to say that you CANNOT wash it, otherwise it’ll ruin the wax coating.

Not sure if it was more noticeable because I bought the chocolate version but the amount of dust/debris this jacket collects is unbelievable

It won't make it durable but also won't do any harm other than making the jacket a little sticky.

I'm in North Idaho so 50-60 degrees is t-shirt weather. I'm guessing 45-50 is comfortable with that jacket lol

they might be just a hair long - but this jacket definitely has a tailored fit so an XXL is the way to go!

fresh out of the bag - these jackets can have a hair of excess wax that sits on the exterior so be a little careful. Should be fine otherwise!
