Hey do the space marines have rules for different chapters? i mean like the different imperial guard regiments..

Something to add though: The Worship of the omnissiah is technicly not at odds with the worship of the emperor, because the emperor IS the omnissiah. What is a problem though is that they worship two other entitys: The machine god and the force of movement. This is basicy an analogy for the christian triangle of god, messiah and the holy spirit.
However, the issue arises because some Ministorum priests reject that idea of oneness between the two doctrines, as well as some Tech-Priests. The majority of both are fine with it, though.
Caleb Wirt I strongly recommend a read of Titanicus, by Dan Abnett. This...becomes a major issue.

In the 40k that is the official explanation why the Adaptus Mechanicus is allowed to worship the Omnissiah.
Yet without spoilers, it is clear that the God-Emperor is something technical.
Should probably add that the Rogue Traders actually start with a warpcapable spaceship ;)

sorry for geeking but the Astra Militarum (Imperial Guard) are controlled by the Departmento Munitorum which in turn is controlled by the Adeptus Terra.
Also the God of the Mechanicus, the Omnissiah, is recognised by the Adeptus Ministorum as an aspect of the God-Emperor. At least in the modern Imperium.

Thank you. I twitched at that too. If everyone was separate from the Adeptus Terra, it would lessen the Mechanicum’s sovereignty.

The real Omnissiah is a shard of the one star gods that enslaved the necrons. It was a beast the emporor of man defeated on earth and imprisoned on mars.

@@IntrospectiveSmith the Emperor has been alive for quite a long time. Assumedly he imprisoned the Dragon of Mars before the machine-cults formed.

Plan on either making a Raptor or Soul Drinker Space Marine, Raptor would allow for the most flexibility in their views on others since they will use any and all things at hand that can give them a upper hand in battle, as for Soul Drinkers, because no matter how corrupt the body and mind may be, the soul shall forever stay pure and loyal to the Emperor!!

How do I play an Inquisitor that is also a Psyker? I’ve been searching the rule book and I can’t find it anywhere.
Inquisitors get an open [ANY] keyword which can be filled with the Psyker keyword, psychic powers can also be gained through psychic archetypes, ascension packages and mutations

That would be a Bolt Pistol pointed at the back of the PC's head, then.
Couple things it's astra militarum no adeptus, second each world needs it's own PDF which is not part of the Astra the difference being akin to a local millita and the united states marine corp, third commissars aren't commanding officers they are morale officers and a form of military police in a very rough sense also they are all graduates of the scholoar progenium that's a prerequisite to be a commissar also only sometimes do they care about their troops local culture most tend to assert their authoiry via the bolt pistol.
This, while a commissar is certainly able to order line infantry around, command of a platoon is typically assigned to a platoon commander, with 3 platoons adding up to a company led by a company commander, etc. Granted any or all of these are subject to a bolt pistol to the back of the head if a Commissar deems them to be found wanting in the eyes of the emperor, which kind of undermines the idea that the commissar is not in charge, but it is at the least in theory not meant to be his job to Be in charge, merely to oversee and enforce proper morale among the soldiers (or kill them trying).
Yeah technically they can command troops but high command kinda doesn't like them doing it though as a commisar if they complain he can respond by shooting them so they can get away with a lot though you do get ranks like colonel comissar who is a actual officer and a commisar at the same time in other words he is doing what he did before but now with less moaning from the generals.
I'm surprised no Assassins... Callidus assassin could be a blast in an RPG.

Hey Cody, so are the Tempestus Scions a rebranded stormtrooper?
I miss the days when "hot shot lasguns" were called Hellguns. Playing a Tempestus Scion would be a ton of fun, though technically unless you're in the Segmentum Tempestus you wouldn't actually be a Tempestus Scion. Seems more likely that in the Imperium Nihilus you'd be in Ultima Segmentum, or Segmentum Obscurus. That being said though, it's totally possible a Tempestus Scion could have been trapped on the wrong side of the Great Rift! And while I've noticed a lot of people pointing out that the Omnissiah is the Emperor, it's not totally wrong that the worship of the Machine God is at odds with the Imperial Creed - they share no rites, rituals, or really any beliefs. The Mechanicus does not worship the God-Emperor of Mankind, except in his role as the Omnissiah of the Machine God. Also: 11 Forge Worlds! Wow!
Just replace Tempestus with Ultima or Obscurus and try not think too hard about it.

Any word on how to play a Space Marine Librarian?
I'm dying to know if the Tactical Marine archetype also covers the deathwatch.

There is no psychic Astartes archetype at the moment. So no librarians and no Grey Knights. However, the Tactical Marine archetype does not preclude you from being a member of the Deathwatch, it just has no special rules to represent that.
I wish they had done it like the old FFG game, where ypu could add being a rogue psyker to your character build. I had an imperial preacher who was secretly a psyker and explained all those perils of the warp symptoms as manifestations of the Emperor's divine will.
When did Imperial Stormtroopers become Tempestus Scions?
a while ago due to GW being scared of disney after they acquired Starwars. They didnt want to get into a copyright lawsuit so they changed the names as well a the imperial guard as a whole. Now they are the "Astra Militarum" because nobody wants to go toe to toe with disney.
Can you mix and match Archytypes? For example, Lt. Kage in the Series "The Last Chancers" is a hyper violent, borderline serial killer. He started out as an illiterate Hive ganger, joined the Imperial Guard, killed the man who slepted with his wife, and ended up as a hardened member of the 13th Penal Legion. *SPOILERS!* as it turns out, he's a low key Psyker (makes him REALLY good at fighting). So what I would want to make is battle hardened Guardsman with some low key psyker powers. Think if X COM: Enemy Within (superior to vanilla X Com 2, deal). You can make Elite Psychic Soldiers who are now weak ass caster archetypes. The're elite soldiers first and foremost with a few meta-physical tricks (but not dependent on them like your typical wizard class). Could I make something like this? No, I don't wanna play the D*ckless Space Marine librarians nor Grey Knights who feels the need to bathe in the blood of Sisters of Battle nor a typical caster nerd.

Arent space marine scouts just new recruits with 0 bionics or space marine bioengineering ?
In other words no different than a guardsman. But with better equipment and training and different commanders.
Scouts do have the extra organs but not all the way, but when they receive the black carapace they graduate to full on Space Marine
"The Greater Good" is Tau. Real Imperials do everything for the Glory of the Emperor.
Astra Militarum...and not all Space Marines go to Devastator Squads...Space Marine Devastator Squads are just Tactical Space Marines that specialize in Heavy Weapons.

CDR Dread For most chapters (ones that are codex compliant). All Marines are put into Devastator squads after their time as scouts and then after some time are then promoted to tactical squads.

The devs have mentioned Custodes and Knights as possible archetypes to include down the line, but they have said that they'd be high tier, probably at least tier 5.
For a custodes to involve himself in galactic affairs usually it's universe ending level insanity as in 20 custodes get sent in usually they walk out having just slaughtered an billion strong army with ammo to spare that is a the level of fucking insane power a custodes has these guys are just under primarchs in power
So Custodes is actually a tabletop army now, if you haven't played recently, and while a single Custodes is definitely way beyond a single space marine, they aren't anywhere near Guilliman. If a Primaris Intercessor is tier 4, a rank-and-file Custodian would be probably tier 5 or 6 in terms of raw power.
I have a custodes army actually waiting on forge world to get off their arse and give us non beta rules for all our fun toys anyway tabletop is a terrible source as apparently bolt rounds now can be easily stopped by flak armor since you know normal bolters don't have ap anymore among other things
I wouldn’t call a 33% chance of saving “easily stopped,” but you’re right that tabletop is a bad source for fluff. However, anything that shows up in an RPG is gonna need to be balanced the same way as tabletop 40k, so it is a pretty comparable source to Wrath and Glory.

Seriously, whoever made this one really knew what they were doing. So much choice right out the gate without having to wait for expansions. I just love a game that really makes use of its setting and one that allows people to get creative. Its honestly something that will kill my interest in watching an RPG being played is if their are to many stale characters. My eyes just glaze over hearing Human fighter, Elf Wizard, Half-Elf ranger, Dwarf bla, bla, bla... After that its just white noise and it invariable has nothing to keep me gripped because I can't feel anything creative being made. Perhaps that is a problem with me, but it just seems such a waste of potential to have just standard stock characters.
Another WH40k RPG does classes in a way I quite like. 2nd Edition Dark Heresy does not restrict any abilities to any class, it simply makes it easier to purchase certain skills and talents with less XP. However, if needs must, anybody can take just about anything provided they have the XP. Creative and very open-ended.
A space marine does not become a devastator marine right off the bat, they start off as tactical marines. Devastators are in fact veterans.
It got flipped around a few editions ago. Codex marines start as devastators, supporting their more veteran brothers with bolter fire and calling out targets, if they find they aren't particularly suited to the role then they get moved on to assault, and if they find that they're suitably disposed to flexibility they then become a tactical marine. The devastators carrying the heavy weapons are indeed the honed veterans.
