That's a cool phone but I've got used to my V10 because there are no buttons on the side of the phone we need more phones with no buttons on the side.
Scorpion King yeah my idea was to put the volume buttons as 3d-touch on the back, with the glass surface a little bit textured so that you can feel it... but they got completely rid of the rearkey ;(
the volume buttons on the v30 are never pushed accidentally in my pocket or by my fingers. They are placed smartly so you don't push them accidentally. You should try holding it I was skeptical at first also coming from my v10 but it is a great phone and I found I like having my volume button on the side again.

Don't be just #OMGILoveSamsung because they have done fails too, including the bomb, the price point of the Galaxy A6+ which was pricier than the Nokia 7 Plus with higher specifications and better build quality, and the screen burn issue of the S7 Edge.
These manufacturers sure want us to accept the notch. It's working to. We are drinking it up. I do like the Google assistant button though. Far Field Voice is great too.
Michael Miller can someone explain to me what is the purpose of the Google Assistant button When you can just say OK Google in the Google Assistant just pops up from your voice recognition why have a button for it?
Remember when you used to make those commercials where people would fight over charging ports, but the person with the LG phone would just change the battery? That was great. I still change my batteries to this day. I'll hang onto my V20 indefinitely unless your G8 and/or V40 bring back this super convenient feature.

Hii I loved everything about this device , this time u made perfect phone but i don't like one thing battery instead of 3000 mah u should have implemented 3500 mah that would be great to kick out all the competitors like Samsung s9 or Samsung s9+ because no one wants their phone to be in socket instead of in pocket . Front camera with F 1.9 aperture with bokeh mode that's amazing.

I actually like the notch on this phone. I got this phone last week at a T-Mobile store nd its really nice. The notch actually looks nice on the phone, it doesn't bother me like it bothers other people.
Im an avid fan of samsung..and its great that they didnt come up with a phone with a notch...

I agree. If they had amazing cameras or a loudspeaker or something with a practical use than I would not mind but it seems stupid that an 8mp camera could not be placed in the same area as the 5mp on the g6 and v30.

Something that i'm really like 'bout their phone is quad dac that for some audiophile would appreciate it and wide angle cam, which is wayyy more useful than telephoto one. But, the important thing is i'm really hope lg optimize their battery management software and if they can, add more mAh. I would say that both G and V series baterry is average which is not too bad or not too long (atleast for me).

the notch is optional and the v40 most likely won't feature the notch but go off I guess
keep in mind the G line is the mid-range, consumer friendly line and the V line is a bit more beefed up for the true enthusiasts

G line is considered as a flagship .. if they wanted get there phone notched and they canceled it of course because it doesn't make any sense now they did it only to be cool as Apple but cheaper and with a chin but apple using one of the hugest tech in their notch what about Lg ? .. man i have understood lg since they relaced the G5 .. it shows that they have nothing to bring .
Ahmad Bakur while G is technically is a flagship the price usually ranges around 600-700 while most top tier phones are in the 800+ area. The G series has never been what they threw everything cool into it, it was always the V series. The G is almost like a test drive for the real deal.

Galaxy S9 display is still brighter at 1200 nits, plus it is an OLED vs LG's IPS.

Tech where did you get that the S9 reach 1200 nits. I've just checked and is not that bright. It's under 700 nits using max auto. And this G7 panel has a similar pentile array of pixels so the difference is on the blacks which are pure in amoled screen but there is no official information from Samsung saying that the S9 display reach 1200 nits

Tech so a web site with an outdated design from a company that sells kits for analysis and hasn't published a review of any not Samsung amoled screen in years should be considered as a reliable source of information? No thanks! That site only prises to the Samsung's amoled screen and that can't be considered impartial. I have nothing against Samsung or their products (I have a Samsung phone with an amoled screen and I'm very satisfied with it) but I don't trust in that displaymate site.

LG, you are that one of a company who leading an innovation. From GFlex, big apperture on camera, 18:9 ratio, and the millitary test too. But why you have to put a notch and copying another brand's style? Eventho you can hide it, but still, it has a *notch*. I'm still here with my G6, and my father still being proud with his G5

The space you made for boombox, I wish you used it to put a bigger battery. Battery life on my G5 really sucks. Then upgraded to G6 and it's the same story. Downgrading to 3000mah on your G7 is just a bad decision.
