UBER update! March 2024. While you still cannot get an UBER at the airport, they are readily availble and often less expensive than a taxi. My hotel had a lovely waiting area just outside the main gate, with a bench and a pergola. Most UBERS were there within 5 minutes. Drivers were professional, had nice vehicles and knew exactly where they were headed. When when dropped off back at your hotel, we were dropped off at the main lobby (inside the gate).
Today is March 3rd, '24. After a double Knee replacement, in May, & because of your video Lady Aly, I'm now going to Cabo San Lucas. You're so correct regarding using ONLY Mexican Currency.
Financial Tip! Most places do not use a favorable exchange rate so it’s more advantageous to pay in pesos…even when using your credit card. Ask them to run the card in pesos. Depending on size of bill, it can be a $5 or more price difference. We always figure out the exchange rate they are using by dividing pesos by the dollar amount…9 out of 10 times they are using a lower exchange rate so running everything in pesos is usually a good bet.
Great video!! You can swim in San Jose Del Cabo. I usually stay at the Royal Solaris or rent a condo in San Jose. I've only had one or two days of rough water, for the most part, we've been able to swim. Also an update, they don't do the visitor card anymore.
Actually you don't have to worry about the card anymore, shortly after this video was posted they did away with those. One less thing to worry about, enjoy your trip!
Another great video! :) For beaches there is Palmilla beach and Chileno BAy as well, great swimming there as well. They are between Cabo and San Jose Del Cabo. Also, for transportation, there are the buses. Really easy to use and cheap, if going to cabo from San Jose Del Cabo, or visa versa, try the bus. It is safe, cheaper and does not take a real long time either. Try it out. Great way to see area and you can stop at the beaches I mentioned as well. Can get to Walmart as well and return in a taxi or uber. Cheers, Love the videos, keep em coming. :)
When I was there in Nov 2022 they took the immigration card from you at Customs and kept it so you no longer have to keep track of it. I was there in Jan. 2023 and it was the same thing.
Really? We were just in Cancun in July 22' and we still needed to hang on to those cards. If what you say is true then that's just one less thing to worry about! Did you still need to test neg at the resort before leaving? Or have they relaxed covid restrictions?
Hi , Your videos are awesome.I absolutely love them. Questions: 1.do you recommend Cabo for solo female travelers?2. What airport shuttle company do you recommend?
I took an Uber from the airport to San Jose Del Cabo. The people at the airport said Uber was not allowed to pick me up there but the Uber driver met me at arrivals area and it worked fine. So don’t be afraid to use Uber. Uber seemed to work as good there as it does in the States
thank you again ! definitely subscribing to your channel. could you maybe do a video like your LV video and tell us the most amazing things to do in Cabo?
Hey Aly! As a fellow traveler, I did find this video helpful. I had a similar experience with the timeshare reps & taxis screaming at me in Cancun...my destination was Playa del Carmen & I walked past the screamers & went to an air conditioned bus for a 45 min. ride to Playa del Carmen. I have a question regarding the bus companies you showed...which one do you recommend??? I saw this purple bus on a video about Cabo...i don't know the name though... Puerto something....please answer if yiu can help give me names of a shuttle I could take to mayan monkey HOSTEL, which is near the Marina.
My brother lives in Cancun, and he says the cartels run the taxis. It could be the same here. If that is the case, then it makes sense why rideshares are not welcome.
@Aly Smalls Hi Aly, I would like to know how to get hotel reservations from the U.S.A., this will be my first time taking a vacation, and I don't want to be a victim of scammers
I didn’t have any issue with Uber which is also much cheaper than taxi in St Lucas. We had to use the resort shuttle to the gate to meet up with Uber on the way out but on the way back they can drop us at the door .
Thank you for sharing these tips! You're very lovely to watch. Though I need to ask what bag did you use for this trip? Have you tried using a duffle bag for your travel? I recommend using the Bento Bag from Nomad Lane.
Thank you for the helpful video. I have a question: In Puerto Vallarta, we found that that water on the beach was on the dark side. Is this the same in Cabo?
Cabo water had many bright turquoise pockets, and great clear water snorkeling if you head out on a tour. I would say it wasn't as dark as the main beaches in PV proper
We just used the company, Juan Pablo…$180usd round trip from airport to Cabo San Lucas. Had waters and beer in cooler for us. Not a luxury vehicle but got us where we needed to go!

Hello Aly I booked a. Teip to cabo for September and looking at all the comments i feel like maybe I should cancel.. I haven't been back since 2018.... Seems like everyone is disappointed 😢
I do not agree with only taking $1, $5, $10 and a few $20 bills. Try taking $5,000 in small bills. I have never had any problem getting change back for a hundred dollar bill, but sometimes my change is in Pesos, but so what?
One mistake I made was exchanging dollars for Pesos at the airport. By far, the worst exchange rate. Do not do it! Taxis quote in Dollars. Pay in dollars.
Just came back from a cruise that stopped at cabo. The place they can do you in to the port, Like all ports they have a lot of shops a lot of restafrance be wise and where you eat. Food prices could be nuas far as cost. My wife and I stopped at a place called Baja tacos. It was not good. Here's what we ate, One order tacos you got 3, One sandwich called lobster roll. It was fake lobster One Margarita made with Don Julio tequila. And to finish it off one bottle of water. Total costs for this was $97.55 American a little bit pricey. You got about a 2 spoon of what they called lobster on the lobster roll with 2 slices of bacon one piece of avocado Oh yes we had some guacamole too This place rip you off do not go there unless you have a lot of money for c***** food.
