Congratulations @goodq! I understand singular value decomposition thanks to Numerical Recipes, and that knowledge & principles about dimensionality reduction has been SO useful. Thanks, Rakin
Great video, I also use Stockopedia. Do you have a video explaining more in depth on how you use it? Of course the main stock ranks are clear to understand but explaining all the other indicators and the considerations that can be taken from those at all?
+18:21 ya got me there, Ramin - I was in despair wondering what the hell I'd missed, until I realised that you were talking about CGT 😧😅 +41:31 Does Stockopedia value banks correctly I wonder. I know they're a sensible bunch so I assume so. (I plan to subscribe when the market gives good value for money)
With gilts, I think if you buy individual gilts you are free from CGT, if you buy the gilts you see on trading apps they may have CGT if not held within am ISA or SIPP?
Thanks Ramin. Love all your videos and nice to see Numerical recipes in C is still on the shelf Regarding locking in the premium membership rates before a New Year increase, is this for a monthly paid membership or only if you sign up for the full year?
HSBA not a good buy just now my analysis suggests they are an 80% sell based on a weighted price movement over the last 15 days TW. is a better option as it is at 0%
Thanks for another good Q&A. You made a comment about not investing in a GIA, one reason being ERI. It is onerous as someone only just getting my head round it. I assumed you would have one after maxing out your ISA. I’m fortunate to have money to invest after my isa and my kids junior isa. What other investment vehicles do you use?
You're doing a fantastic job! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
It was contrary to the will of the people, Bolsheviks (despite the name) was a small group of gangsters who took power by force, and later adjusted history and how it was perceived
I’m concerned with the direction of US politics particularly the talk of trade wars, surely this will hurt everyone in the loop! Hard to forecast I guess but I’m trying to work out the impact of US politics on investments. It seems not many are really getting into the analysis at the moment
I've had a SIPP for many years now where I pay in monthly and just forget about it. I credit my IFA for doing that. I noted your comment about limiting one's costs once it hits a certain amount, and it made me question whether the IFA+platform is worth doing now. It certainly >1%. I'm currently not needing advice on retirement and drawdowns so perhaps I should be moving it. Thoughts?
Trump thinks America reneging on its debt would be okay because he's been refusing to pay his debts and going into bankruptcy as a matter of course his whole life. It's zero-sum thinking. We elected the same idiot twice.
What was the alternative? More corruption, and a slow decline to national bankruptcy as the dems continued to overspend by more and more and more. I think Trump was the better choice.
Yaaay I made it in the video this time 59:46 ! Just watched it. Thank you

Unfortunately, I missed this session.....I hope you will do it again soon ❤️
31:57 Vanguard report duration on their UK professional site. No doubt that’s the more appropriate place for Ramin 🙂
Still, I think it would help with investor education to know that duration is a crucial risk measure when investing in bonds

At 18m.30s, Ramin should have said you don't pay CGT on Gilts, not you don't pay IHT on Gilts (unless you are non-dom - might be different then)

Not Ramin but I would guess a SIPP
Does the new tool include usa etfs/mutual funds?
I’m a new member I can see I can learn so much from this platform and community.
I am glad you think so and are enjoying it so far @manymoms920
So is staying out of further investment in VHVG while it in this euphoria phase a good idea?
Not really, dollar cost average it, you don't know where it's going

Haha nice try

And is this the type of advice your PensionCraft community tackle? (caveat it isn't personal financial advice)
30% cut in your income? That would mean your subscribers haven't grown at all?
So service inflation has a lag?

Yes, because the ones in charge were clearly experts...

Let's see here - has Ramin made an attempt to wrap his head around Bitcoin yet?...
Nope.
🤣 You're barking up the wrong tree
We don't discuss gambling here, sorry mate
