@@iseeseverything while I may not be a fan of TK’s decision making all the time he sure as hell knows how to promote. If TK was old enough to have started a promotion 20 years ago oh man. Kobashi, Misawa, Taue, Akiyama vs Punk, Joe, Styles, Danielson, etc would’ve happened in a packed stadium. Especially since wrestling was more popular back than too.

@@heartless_raven Yeah and he knows how to respect legends especially since there's quite a few people there like Taz, who knows a lot about guys like Kobashi or even someone like Joe or Eddie Kingston (who's gone on record several times as mentioning how much the All Japan King's Road style in the mid 90s influenced him in wanting to become a professional wrestler) that could easily emphasize just how important it would be even just to have him in the building in attendance for a show.
Kobashi vs Joe is still by far one of the greatest matches in the history of Ring of Honor even now and it's easily one of my favorite matches ever because I've loved both men's work for a long time.
I get that there was still some intrigue about Joe and Kobashi facing off after their one on one match the night before, but I never understood why they just didn’t have them team up against the Rottweilers here. Ki and Homicide being on different teams was just weird
I think it was the idea of finally getting Homicide and Low Ki against each other because up until this match, if I'm remembering correctly, they'd never competed against one another ever.
Kobashi has the greatest chops of all time imo. As iconic as Flair and Steamboat were, Kobashi's chops exceed even those legends

Agree, Joe and Kobashi as a team sounds better on paper and is a fun alternative dynamic to their 1 on 1
That would be two heavyweights vs two junior weights.
