    I’ve shot 4 over 31kg so far. The first one I ever landed was 29.2kg with a sea hornet from the surface. Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed it!

      Hi @jamessakker2117, I saw a manta the other day in shallow water just north of Anna Bay as I was snorkeling. Water was super murky, especially above the seaweed.

      @jamessakker2117 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks mate glad you enjoyed it! Yeah the 32 kg was 156cm and I think the 28 kg was 144cm. I take the otoliths out and get the fish aged by NSW fisheries. I’ve had about 100 fish aged so far. I reckon the 32 kg will be pretty old and the 28kg pretty young. There is a huge variation in age on these fish

    Hey mate, ive heard you talk a lot about moon phases while looking for fish. What moon phase are you looking for?

    • @jamessakker2117
      @jamessakker2117 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Jew spawn in the lead up to the dark moon and full moon this gives you a chance to find fish resting up in gutters/caves during the day. It’s not that I don’t look for them at other moon phases it’s just that you have a better chance in my opinion

I weighed the fish which cracked the 30kg mark and I was stoked until Homer suggested I check its guts….so I had a 27.5 kg fish BASTARDS!!!!!
