Thanks for the very clear and straight forward explanation!!! We are considering to use this solution for our business application DR. We are going to have two physical servers located far from each other (different states), and the business app will be running on VM as active-standby. We are going to use the internal disk of each physical server for the VM storage. I'm assuming in this case we may use only vSphere Replication but not array-based replication. What minimum RPO we should expect if we use the vSphere Replication?
Min RPO vSphere Replication can provide is 5 minutes.. This will depend on the number of VM's, bandwidth, data change rate.. I would also advise that you do some form of redundancy at the primary site like a 3 node HA Cluster.. Just my $0.02. Check this out.. knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/317497/operational-limits-for-vsphere-replicati.html Have a good one
Really enjoyed this video and the SRM Deployment. I watched these 2 videos and got my site a and site b SRM and vSphere replication setup all green and connected. To finish this so I can start using the SRM and all what is the next video to watch and next one after that and so on in your SRM series so I can setup things correctly?
@@TechUnGlued Awesome I refreshed my page see it now. Are you going to do the video talking about the enhanced replication option? Also the video about separating your vsphere replication traffic on another vmk other then vmk0? Thank you again 😀
Thanks for watching. I have not done one as of yet. Been working on VCF content as my lab is setup for that right now.. May be a little while before I get to that.. Thanks and have a great day
