Didn't live long after the movie too. So that's sad but i never knew he was blind. (i wonder how he knew what to do) He died in 1974. And willy wonka came out in 1971.
I remember when movies like this used to be so silent at times, now everything has music even in the background, i dont know about you but it made the scene more intense especially if it were a fight scene like the type of stuff you see in Conan.
My grandmother used to say about this movie that it wasn't "black and white and had no sound or not much sound" Like those walt disney movies from the 1930's and 1940's. The only movie or series she approved was "our gang" (Little Rascals)
Earlier: Charlie - Someone must be in there. Who are they? Joe: That is the biggest mystery of them all! After seeing the Oompaa Loompas: Joe: Now we know who makes the chocolates!
The actress who played Grandma Georgina died later that year, and the actor who played Grandpa George (who was legally blind at the time) died a couple of years later, in 1974.
I think Mr Wilkinson was Willy Wonka’s lawyer. With all the other candy makers trying to steal his recipes and pass them off as their own, it would make sense for him to eventually get a lawyer to ensure no one tries to falsely accuse him of anything and take his recipes or his money.
How come Grandpa Joe has a much bigger role in the movie than the other 3 grandparents? Grandma Josephine talks a little bit, but I don’t think George and Georgina have any dialogue at all in the movie.

Ernst Ziegler who played as Grandpa George was legally blind, from the result of mustard gas during the First World War.

Charlie was such a good kid wanted to help his family out
Nowdays kids are trash talking their elders.
Some kids. not all.

I always play an Oompa Loompa song in my head when Charlie says "Someone must be in there. Who are they?"

WISH THEY WOULD OF SHOWN GRANDPA JOE SMOKING HIS PIPE LOVE TOBACCO

I found out . Then Jack Albertson in 1981 10 years later . And the last was grandma Josephine . She was 91 or 2 good age . Wish they all still lived 😊

- Loved how his role in the 2023 film adds more weight to that line.
When slugworth all turned out to be a spy who worked for willy wonka.
@@Xtremecherry95YT but that wasn’t Slugworth, that was an alias for Mr. Johnston.

Probably to follow the storyline. Like in the book.
In the 2005 film with Freddie Highmore, the grandparents had more dialogue and better roles.
I don't like that Charlie's father is dead.
I wonder who would've played Mr. Bucket if the character was in the movie?
In the 2005 version, Noah Taylor played Mister bucket.
And in the book it doesn't say but he has both of his parents and all four grandparents.
@@Xtremecherry95YT I know.
It was a way to ad Layers of pityAnd sadness to the film.
So that means that Charlie Bucket is a paternal orphan!
