His character development is even shown by the evolution of his character design. You'll notice that, after his training arc with Ryuga, he looks physically older. Instead of the round face he had for most of the series, he has a defined jawline during the second half of Metal Fury.
@@jamainegardner4193 he was holding his own against nemesis. Not matching him. Gingka and Kyoya could had done the same but at that point they already started running out of stamina. Kenta was also emotional about Ryuga's death so that could also play a part in him doing well against nemesis
One of the best parts of that training arc with Benkei and Kenta was that Benkei outright says that Kenta has immense potential. And it's one of those things that was already sweet when he said it, but becomes absolutely amazing with the knowledge of what he becomes in Fury/4D
Really think about it, Kenta's beyblade Flame Sageterio, was the beyblade that could not beat some complete random beys in the first episode which Gingka easily 1 shot them all. That same bey literally damaged what was essentially an unstopable beast, Destroyer L Drago, which was an upgrade from Meteo L Drago, a bey that can spin steal and beat literally any bey that rotates clockwise, a bey that could take over the world if he chose to which was ALSO an upgrade from an already legendary bey Lightning L Drago which was literally a FORBIDDEN BEY. That same Sageterio that could not win against some Level 1 bad guys managed to go toe to toe with the Level 100 king, all without ever getting some "upgrade" (outside of that metal face bolt).
Feels in a way very much like kyoya, just a default bey that has a strong connection to is welder and backed by heaps of intense training - only difference was kyoya actually got an upgrade, and kenta didn't, untill the end
@@Deadlysparkwell also kyoya got upgrades threw other means like doji training him, tornado ally ect. Where as kenta literally was just so determined that he trained and trained and trained on his own improving battle after battle and eventually going toe to toe with the dragon emperor himself. We see his progress threw battle bladers on his journey to 50k points and then a little bit threw metal masters and then finally training with ryuga. Like kenta is literally probably the 3rd strongest blader in the series. After his star fragment he low ley might be the strongest. Like the dude in the video says he damages the bey of all beys.
Bro. Thanks a lot for making beyblade metal videos. It really brings back an underrated series back to life. It did not get so much recognition during it's time of airing. So now you're there
Kenta is one of my favourite characters in the show. His fight against Reiji, especially the ending was incredible. Having him lose, his Sagittario destroyed but everyone still cheering him on was such a heartwarming moment
Would’ve loved to see an older Kenta face Zyro (to test Zyro’s resolve) or better, put Sakyo in his place (because we know Ryuga giving him a vestige of his power probably gave Sagittario an immense power boost)
Kenta cracking L-Drago's face bolt is more symbolic rather than kenta actually having the ability to break parts. It shows that Ryuga was able to become serious when fighting against Kenta and acknowledging him as a worthy opponent. Its a reminder of the promise that Ryuga made with Kenta, that although he was very late in giving his help, he would fulfill one way or another.
5:04 Kenta hadn't mastered diving claw by that point If you actually watch the whole scene, Saggitario was wobbling during the special move, making it unstable
A reason why I liked Kenta when I was little and why he’s still one of my favorites is because when I was a kid I saw myself AS Kenta due to the fact that I had an older brother named Mike who seemed to be good at everything I’m talking sports, music, and academics he would dominate, and whenever I tried to beat him I’d loose. But then he decided that he’d teach me how to be better, he was basically Ryuga and I was Kenta, he would also go out of his way to help people who couldn’t help themselves so he was also a bit like Jenga (I don’t know if I got that name right) sadly he died to Covid in 2020 so I promised that I’d become just like him, and I like to believe that I’m doing that
Kenta was always quite close to being in the action. He made it into the top 8 of battle bladers in Metal fusion. Kenta loses to Masamune who ends up being the 2nd regular member and doesn't make the team. Then, when deciding who the replacement members will be he gets memed by the rule saying former participants cannot rejoin, which means if he had never tried out, then he could have been the replacement member. He joins the team, storming Hades City, but basically every good character in the series at the time does. And he gets left outside to fight unnamed grunts. In Metal Fury, it's basically just a game to see who the "chosen ones" (Legendary Bladers chosen by the Star Fragments). Knowing what we know about the 10 Legendary Bladers and their beys, they were 4 seasons bladers (3 of which immediately went to the big 3 of this anime, Gingka, Kyoya, and Ryuga and 5 planet beys (which end up being Anubis, Quetzalcoatl, Chronos, Jupiter and Variares D:D). No prior known character aside from the big 3 mentioned earlier, becomes a Legendary Blader and even the last Season Blader is basically a random. None of the talented bladers we saw in Masters was luck enough to become a Legendary Blader. Kenta at least got his peace with his quest to enlist Ryuga which ended up making him string enough to give Gingka and Ryuga a good fight. He, along with Gangan Galaxy's members, participated in the final boss fight and we all know what happened from there.
For me the best part of metal fury is Kenta and Ryuga's jurney. As you said it's very interesting how does two characters that we saw since season 1 got to interact in such a unique way. Also I like how they made an older beyblade like Flame Sagitario look strong when in real life it was not competitive anymore. I wish we got more character developping like that in fury. They rushed this season to much, so many watsed characters and potentials.
indeed, We could have had 4D upgrades for major characters like Benkei, Tsubasa, and Yu. Hikaru could have gotten back her bey spirit, maybe have a dark power arc similar to Tsubasa in Masters, where Ryuga once again has to step in to help, even give her some of his "star fragment" 😉. Season 1 and 2 characters could have came back, like Sora, Hyoma, Osamu Takashi and Akira, Reiji, Past Dark nebula Bladers, Like Ryutaro, Tetsuya, The sodo Twins, and the Kumade Brothers, Anton(from Russia's Team), Marcus(From the African qualifying rounds), Ziggurat, Damian, and even old beys like Dark Wolf (maybe even an upgrade), Flame Byxis and Twisted Tempo. These characters would either be helping or trying to stop nemesis' revival. I feel like Anton would work for Doji and Pluto because he has a wolf bey and he gave me Doji-esque vibes the first time I saw him. Marcus would come back, along with cronies, because he was just a cheating idiot, much like the Garcias, so I could easily see him being manipulated to do Pluto's dirty work. Ziggurat for obvious reasons, because he was the CEO of Hades INC, and Damian would comeback because of unfinished business with gingka and Kyoya. Reiji would comeback after training for a long time to take revenge on Gingka, with some more powerful poison and new dark moves up his sleeve. Dark Wolf, even though it was destroyed, I believe could have been repaired/upgraded offscreen, because at the beginning of masters, we saw the Kumade brothers and Gemios twins preparing to battle for a spot-on team Japan, even though we saw their beys were destroyed by lightning L-Drago, which leads me to presume that they were repaired in someway, and so the same could be said for Dark Wolf 🐺 🐺. Doji might have even been able to upgrade to the $D system, much like masamune with Blitz Striker, turning it into Alpha Wolf DF105MFS. Flame Byxis and Twisted Tempo could have came back, being owned by two high ranking members of Hades Inc. as part of Ziggurat's plan to defeat Gingka and Ryuga, and therefore aid in the revival of nemesis.
They could have also spread into more familial connections, like Kyoya's brother from the manga, Kakeru and his Divine Chimera, or Ryuga's own little brother, Ryuto and his Omega Dragonis. we could have been introduced to new characters in the series, like Kenta's mother, Kyoya's parents, Ryuga's parents, Madoka's father, possibly find out about Gingka's mother, Tsubasa's family, etc. Kakeru and Ryuto could have been helping the legendary bladers, as well as having Kakeru fight Gingka, and Ryuto finally reunite with Ryuga. I also forgot to add some minor villains such as Busujima and those grave robbers Ryuto ran into in his debut episode, helping out Johannes even for a little bit. We could have gotten bladers representing Earth and Neptune for the Legendary and Nemesis bladers respectively, even throw in a Hydra blader for the Nemesis bladers, because that's a bey that's been around but with no bit beast or significant blader. but above all, and there's a lot I want to pour out, the main thing I would have loved to see is L-Drago to have a 3rd mode, called Ultimate Dragon Mode, where L-Drago uses it as a last resort, switching and stationing in the middle of Assault and Absorb mode. This is where Ryuga would be able to call upon the power of all the dragon beyblades in the world, from the same star fragment L-drago came from, being able to beat Diablo Nemesis in its attack mode, with a super powerful Ultimate move, "Fury of the Dragon Clan."
@@deadshotfx3716 and much more, we could have had Madoka get a beyblade of her own, my idea is that it would be based off of Dranzer from the original, Spiral Suzakas, with a facebolt based being a cross between the phoenix and garudas' facebolts from Zero-G, with an Upper Wing 145(Befall spin track) and my own little concept for a custom performance, Semi-Flat Sharp. Sora could have gotten Cyber upgraded and we would have gotten Wing Pegasus 90WF. Kenta's friends from season 1 could have came back with awesome beyblades of their own, there's just so much that could be done.
@@deadshotfx3716 Furthermore, we could have seen amazing battles, like Ryuga vs Aguma, Ryuga vs Dynamis, Tithi vs King, Ryuto vs Kakeru, Ryuga vs Kakeru, Ryuga vs Ryuto, Kakeru vs Kyoya, Kyoya vs Ryuto, Tithi vs Gingka, Etc. Even more new beys could have been introduced in a proper way, such as a bey based on Draciel from the original series using the 4D system: DeepSea Genbull, having the same parts from Zero-G, but with a fusion wheel resembling a cross between Duo and Beat, with a wavelike pc frame, a bey based off of Driger from the original series utilizing the 4D system: Claw Triger, with a metal claw 145 spin track and metal ball performance tip, and a fusion wheel that would resemble Fang, but with more pointed cutting edges to it, and finally a bey based off dragoon from the original series: Storm Dragoon, this would have a Dark blue dragon themed energy ring, similar to dragonis, with a tornado 125 spin track, and a Right rubber flat performance tip. These would be used by bladers wanting to help the legendary bladers, I’ll let someone else be the judge on which oc’s these beys will belong to.
Kentas development throughout the series is one of the best. He grew from a weak kid relying on others to save him to actually working hard and earning his power. In term of powerscaling, many considered him weaker then the likes of Aguma or Dynamis, however hes probably on the same levels of that of Chris and KIng, maybe a bit weaker. He did actually manage to push back nemisis multiple times BEFORE BECOMING A LEGENDARY BLADER and clapped Pluto, who was considered a relevent challenge for the legendary bladers.
@@jasonmoukala8909And what about all the training beforehand that actually managed to give L-Drago a legit struggle during their final fight? He definitely earned it.
Something I like about the flash Sagittario evolution is the it basically the inverse of what l dragon was a stamina type with attack type ability, l drago being an attack type bey with stamina ability with spin stealing, and this even goes for real life because the flash energy layer is the better layer for attack type beys
I’d argue breaking the facebolt has a significant meaning, I can’t explain it fully yet but usually in the manga and anime when beys break the facebolt is intact. The 2nd thing is the facebolt represents the bey. for example poiseidon is aquario with a different facebolt, northern cross is wolf with a different facebolt, Cyber pegasus is pegasus 1 with a different facebolt. I think it represents something important I just can’t name what it is
I sometimes hear that people don’t like Flash Seg’s design, but if you think about it the tall spin track makes sense. The star fragment was just in a bey, L-Drago, that showed no matter how strong you are, no matter what the attack, it wouldn’t work on Nemesis. So what does it do? It learns and evolves seg into a bey that can indirectly deal with Nemesis’s attacks unlike before; it’s the first think Madoka points out by saying the attacks aren’t hitting the fusion wheel now. Food for thought.
I would say that Ryuga acknowledged Kenta not bc he was what he considered to be a “strong” blader but because he acknowledges those who work hard. Ryuga as a character who trains almost every second of his life putting in more work than anyone else in the show understands sheer determination and willpower better than anyone and he saw that in kenta.
I just wish he got more highlights in Metal Masters. He always felt like he should have been more relevant (being literally the first character introduced in the series), however they definitely redeemed him in Metal Fury
Always saw Kenta as the main character of the series, in the sense that he's the perspective used to ground the stories for us. Masters throws that to the side despite being the majority fan favourite, fury brings it back and is easily the most disliked of the main three seasons. A funny reflection. Whenever I do hear music from this series or try to transcribe it myself, most of the images that pop up in my mind are of Kenta. He's the cornerstone of Beyblade in my opinion.
I absolutely hated how they replaced Kenta with yu in metal masters, it was so unnecessary. They should’ve never had you to begin with. Kenta trained blood sweat and tears with gingka in metal fusion, why sideline him? Now there is such a high gap in character development from season 1 to season 3 because season 2 was spent doing absolutely NOTHING with Kenta’s character
While Kenta wanted to get stronger for himself so he could actually be of use to the group. Ultimately he understood that all the star fragment beys NEEDED to come together. That’s why he constantly challenged Ryuga. I love the dynamic between the both of them and it pays off so well at the end. Cause over the course of months maybe a year, Kenta not only followed Ryuga but lived his life. Literally the only other person who did THAT type of training was KYOYA!! And during second season he was no diff the 3rd/4th strongest blader in the world.

Just like a patch of golden or white-yellow on the left side of his hair.
His character development is even shown by the evolution of his character design. You'll notice that, after his training arc with Ryuga, he looks physically older. Instead of the round face he had for most of the series, he has a defined jawline during the second half of Metal Fury.
Also it looks like a built some muscle too.

Not really. His bey just had an advantage over Nemesis but that wasn't enough to win due to Nemesis still being overwhelmingly more powerful.

Beyblade metal Was such a good series. I’m so happy that more people are giving it attention now than ever before.
More beyblade? Yes sir!

Kenta is one of my favourite characters in the show. His fight against Reiji, especially the ending was incredible. Having him lose, his Sagittario destroyed but everyone still cheering him on was such a heartwarming moment

I liked Kenta, dude proved he deserved to one of the best, you mind doing Ryuga next, bro proved to be the best at the very end.
Would’ve loved to see an older Kenta face Zyro (to test Zyro’s resolve) or better, put Sakyo in his place (because we know Ryuga giving him a vestige of his power probably gave Sagittario an immense power boost)
Kenta actually grew several inches from baby face to Messiah along with his bey. Kid went the distance.
these thumbnails genuine fire dude
"that one time, it was only for a brief shiny moment, i became serious... I Promised. TAKE IT, KENTAA!"
the last words of the DRAGON EMPROR
Kenta cracking L-Drago's face bolt is more symbolic rather than kenta actually having the ability to break parts. It shows that Ryuga was able to become serious when fighting against Kenta and acknowledging him as a worthy opponent. Its a reminder of the promise that Ryuga made with Kenta, that although he was very late in giving his help, he would fulfill one way or another.
5:04 Kenta hadn't mastered diving claw by that point
If you actually watch the whole scene, Saggitario was wobbling during the special move, making it unstable
But then he decided that he’d teach me how to be better, he was basically Ryuga and I was Kenta, he would also go out of his way to help people who couldn’t help themselves so he was also a bit like Jenga (I don’t know if I got that name right) sadly he died to Covid in 2020 so I promised that I’d become just like him, and I like to believe that I’m doing that
Ryuga:Stand up kenta it's time to save the universe

Ryuga: take this KENTA

He, along with Gangan Galaxy's members, participated in the final boss fight and we all know what happened from there.
that last statement tthough.....
bro had to start a war
@@AlexCoker-wg7qw damn ngl, i wish Beyblade metal series continues and this should all be the plot

Something I like about the flash Sagittario evolution is the it basically the inverse of what l dragon was a stamina type with attack type ability, l drago being an attack type bey with stamina ability with spin stealing, and this even goes for real life because the flash energy layer is the better layer for attack type beys
Love that thumbnail kinda wish they were doing galick guns to reference dragon emperor bite strike

"are you Kenta, because you had a character development arc, or did you have a character development arc because your Kenta"
Kenta was the embodiment of Hard Work Pays Off
I sometimes hear that people don’t like Flash Seg’s design, but if you think about it the tall spin track makes sense.
U are right my friend
I just wish he got more highlights in Metal Masters. He always felt like he should have been more relevant (being literally the first character introduced in the series), however they definitely redeemed him in Metal Fury
Man Kenta really deserved it they finally gave him shine after 2 whole seasons lol the goat lol.

The relation with Kenta and Ryuga is clearly inspired by Gohan and Piccolo. Even Ryuga's scarf literally looks like Piccolo's scarf design.
This is why he's my favorite beyblader in every anime 😄👍
i feel like it wouldve been so lit if kenta defeated nemesis to completely solidify his goat status
