i can't believe i've never watched this before. i read stone butch blues for the first time today. i'm young and trans and i'm not much interested in queer history. but you can really feel the influence that leslie feinberg and people like her have had on today's queer communities and common discourse. and even then what she says in this talk feels revolutionary. stone butch blues has helped me figure out the words to say things that i didn't know how to say before. lately everything feels a bit hopeless, like people are always going to be more divided than united. i hope that isn't true.

I read Stone butch blues, and this shows how far Leslie has really come. Her speech was so impressive, and i know her words will still echo on though she has passed away. Inspirational.

Literally nothing more inspiring than thinking of those incredibly strong trans teenagers inventing a new way of life, suffering at every corner and still finding and creating new things, being committed so totally to who you are as a person that an entire state fighting your existince isn't enough to make you stop at all

Leslie Feinberg, would you please come and speak at Georgetown University?? Because the world needs to hear move voices of trans warriors--and you're a pretty fantastic one. Also it would make me really goddamn happy. Thank you!!

You broke my heart when I heard Gay people use the North Vietnam flag... The south would've won if the U.S. didn't put their asses in. How do I know? My dad's a general next to president Ngo Dinh Diem.

well spoken still doesn't change the fact there is an imbalance in the mind. Uni sex is another thing you still need to understand what you are. How to do that is to look in the mirror? Who am I.. Can you see?
