Hi I think, the original and aftermarket dampers can handle the original weight. But add some sound isolation(3mm puthyl matt+filt), it adds 1-2kg. In summer there is no problems, but even at 0C the tailgate fell down. With the Toprans, I had no problems at -20c. Yes, it goes up slower than in warm, but It stayed up. Installed them at begin of dec 2022. How long will they last? only time can tell. But if they fail, ill, buy them again for the convience they offer.

I've tried other off brands struts for my other cars. They can last for a few years. So for the price, they are quite OK to buy. But in the case of Japanese car, my T31, the original ones from the factory can last very long. 12 years on and they're still OK (Hay Hay Nissan !!!). So, unless the original Nissan ones are prohibitively expensive, I'll stick to them.
I used to use Nissan originals, but they weren't able to maintain damper power all year round due to climate change. Japan has four seasons, so it can be cold or hot. As a result, I decided to exchange affordable products regularly

Any damper can maintain excellent performance when new, but its reaction force will be lost over the years. I want to install a thicker damper

日産系列は弱いイメージですね
今は父親の形見C26前期に乗ってますが、やはりリアダンパー交換しています。
特に冬は急激に持ち上げる力が衰えます。
純正品でも５年ほどで抜けてしまいましたね。私の場合は3〜4年ほどで交換します。
