I rewatched the Stray Kids reality show recently, and the funny thing is, Jisung didn't seem to have the intent to be a vocalist for the group. When they were creating Hellevator none of the other vocalists thought they could do the high notes so Jisung ended up taking those parts. Seems like that just kind of continued and he's essentially been on belting high note duty ever since.
Fact : this live perf was recorded at the time when Jisung had an anxiety attack ㅠㅠ that made him not able to attend any activity other than stage performances (bless him) . Thank God his doing OK now
I mean seungmin is the main vocalist so he had to be good at singing 😂😂. But yeah after woojin left its nice to see seungmin showing his skills more especially in their new album where he got the most lines in the album and truly played the part of main vocalist.
Mercedes Romero even woojin was never officially set as main vocalist on their website as well, but in interviews woojin would say he is main vocalist. In the same way seungmin has said he is main vocalist on radio interviews after releasing go live, maybe not exactly worded as “main vocalist” but hyunjin and minho said they were in charge of dance, han and changbin said they were in charge of rap and seungmin said he was in charge of vocals. Saying seungmin is not main vocalist because its not officially said so is like saying hyunjin and minho arent main dancers and han and changbin arent main rappers
this song always makes me emotional especially as it came out right after Woojin left and even though this song is for a drama and the lyrics were about the storyline of the drama, they could also be related to Woojin. changbin is actually a really good singer, he has a tone that really suits him, you should check out his masked singer performance its quite new (although maybe check it out on your own time bc u might have copyright issus if you post it on youtube) also jisung has been on masked singer too and both of their performances are iconic i really recommend watching them

i think its known by now how amazing seungmins vocal range is, since he was able to step up when wooj*n left, its so rare to find a barritone like seungmin in a main vocal position, and he truly shines!also changbin has the sweetest singing voice~ its about time people notice?same with felix, his singing voice is way higher yet sweeter than his bad-ass rapping tone.hyunjins singing is just as sweet as well. its a rap-line thing xD (everyone is great at both anyway, i know~) also since not enough people point it out-MINHOS FALSETTO!! hes so stable live, im so proud of him♥ and channie sounds so soulful♥

Hearing you call Minho and I.N strong vocalist warms my heart because I feel like their vocals are overlooked by people because of Jisung, Chan, and Seungmin who are amazing vocalists too. Minho voice is my favorite. It’s so soft and sweet.

i honestly agree that they don't utilise seungmin's abilities more. i mean, he slays every part he gets but he can do better w more parts and songs which suit his voice more. if you want to listen to seungmin's vocals. you should check out his cover (in skz record), he has does a few (one w jisung as well) he's a huge fan of day so he has covered a couple of day6 songs.

OMG YES The First Take: Slump Japanese version. It's currently my favorite SKZ song...but this version they go so hard and that's saying a lot since they went hard in the studio version. The First Take is a Japanese YT channel where artists perform/record a song in one take...no editing. (Everything I've seen on that channel is impressive and not even J-pop idol groups have been invited to perform there.)

I’m a casual fan but a huge OST enthusiast so I started crying during the scene in ‘Extraordinary You’ Stray Kids’ growth is insane and I hope they keep on getting better and marking their place in the industry. P.S. Jeff, I highly recommend Extraordinary You. The plot is super interesting and the male lead is Rowoon from SF9 (the giant tree). Maybe after you finish watching My ID is Gangnam Beauty.

Seungmin's voice is more suited on ballads and sentimental songs (he actually said he's the sentimental guy of SKZ haha). You can check out his You Were Beautiful (DAY6) cover on their channel. His voice sounds so good, it suits him more.
the whole video you were clenching your fists i really felt that 😭 but seriously though, this was most stays' first experience as well to skz's ballad side. i honestly cried when i first listened to it and i'm still so SO obsessed with this song, even though it's not even a bside, it's an OST. everybody's vocals sound so amazing here and the boys proved that their vocal line is just as strong as their raps. but Seungmin doe.... that man rlly told me to keep my eyes on him during this entire performance... the way Jisung harmonised with his voice at the bridge...goosebumps 😭😭
What makes this live Neverending story performance more emotional aside from the fact that it is a beautiful & emotional song is because this was also the time that Jisung is experiencing anxiety.

ik for me when this song came out, I was very emotional listening to it and especially watching this live. I think it was because of the fact that this was one of their first songs without woojin and it felt like a song that told everyone to keep going even through the hardships like the ones that they were going through during 2019 :( idk I just always get emotional when hearing this song *cries in a corner*
As a singer myself and this being the first song we had from skz after Woojin's departure, it made me cry so many times and the live performance is a masterpiece full of emotions and talent. And yes! Changbin sings :") Jisung and him actually went on King of Maked Singer (separately) where they showcased both their singing and rapping skills. I recommend watching it! their voices are beautiful and it makes me mad that Changbin didn't like his performance and even wanted us to not watch it because he felt like he didn't do good enough even though it was incredible:((( I suggest watching the solo performances thox, Jisung sang "D (Half Moon)" by Dean and Changbin sang "Tomorrow" by Tablo, Taeyang (BIGBANG)! I've rarely seen Jeff get so emotional while reacting but I absolutely understand it. The first time I saw them perform this peace I was a bawling mess even though I rarely cry. I don't know, the chorus is so powerful and the emotions these boys put into the performance just wakes emotions in me. Not to forget that they're amazing singers and performers

thank you for pointing out jisung's breathing technique.. i always notices it whenever they perform.. it's like he always knows when to prepare.. especially when rapping, he knows how to cut the phrases neatly so it's kinda not noticeable but i can hear it and it's great
Seungmin's voice is more suited on ballads and sentimental songs (he actually said he's the sentimental guy of SKZ haha). You can check out his You Were Beautiful (DAY6) cover on their channel. His voice sounds so good, it suits him more.
the whole video you were clenching your fists i really felt that 😭 but seriously though, this was most stays' first experience as well to skz's ballad side. i honestly cried when i first listened to it and i'm still so SO obsessed with this song, even though it's not even a bside, it's an OST. everybody's vocals sound so amazing here and the boys proved that their vocal line is just as strong as their raps. but Seungmin doe.... that man rlly told me to keep my eyes on him during this entire performance... the way Jisung harmonised with his voice at the bridge...goosebumps 😭😭

ik for me when this song came out, I was very emotional listening to it and especially watching this live. I think it was because of the fact that this was one of their first songs without woojin and it felt like a song that told everyone to keep going even through the hardships like the ones that they were going through during 2019 :( idk I just always get emotional when hearing this song

As a singer myself and this being the first song we had from skz after Woojin's departure, it made me cry so many times and the live performance is a masterpiece full of emotions and talent.
And yes! Changbin sings :") Jisung and him actually went on King of Maked Singer (separately) where they showcased both their singing and rapping skills. I recommend watching it! their voices are beautiful and it makes me mad that Changbin didn't like his performance and even wanted us to not watch it because he felt like he didn't do good enough even though it was incredible:(((
I suggest watching the solo performances thox, Jisung sang "D (Half Moon)" by Dean and Changbin sang "Tomorrow" by Tablo, Taeyang (BIGBANG)!

I've rarely seen Jeff get so emotional while reacting but I absolutely understand it. The first time I saw them perform this peace I was a bawling mess even though I rarely cry. I don't know, the chorus is so powerful and the emotions these boys put into the performance just wakes emotions in me. Not to forget that they're amazing singers and performers
