- welcome all bleach fans! i hope you are caught up on the manga, because in this video we talk about every bankai that has been in the series and then we rank them based on a scale that we pretty much make up as we go.
Raw Aura is defined (by me) as how much drip and feeling a character gives off just based on appearance and how you feel when you see it for the first time.

shunsui is the top 1 aura imo, just a goofy, lazy, chill, drunk guy that plays kid games in shikai then play a game of death with bankai he says "lets play a game where one of us dies" "who do you think I am, captain commander of gotei 13" "this world wont protect you from me" he then summons cold, suicidal, depressing,chilly aura that everyone feels from far away then he summons shadows (and a beautiful woman to add to the aura), shares the wounds of enemy and himself then drowns them of their reatsu and chops their head off. and when he gets wounded he just wants to rest/die but he is too strong to die just from a few holes in his body. there is always aura when a chill goofy character turns cold blooded. watching the edits of his bankai always gives me chills down my spine

no joke, ichigo's first bankai in c tier is such an L take. Based on aura alone, we were expecting some crazy shit and this guy pulls up with a regular zanpakuto. Everyone was legit thinking the exact same as Byakuya was thinking and got proved completely wrong. The first bankai got zanka no tachi aura, that shit is S tier.

The bad thing about ikaku’s bankai is that is gives him zero stat buffs besides destructive power, and the blades are super brittle so they break everytime he uses it. So after he fights he has to get a new asauchi, and he can’t even start at full power either 💀

Gin had Aura oozing through the screen when he released Bankai. Dude's eyes are always closed and he's always so sarcastic but when he said Bankai that changed real fast. He opened his eyes and oozed venom with the name of his sword's true form which was also drippy "God Killing Spear". In the anime he also made everything grayscale, giving it an even better effect. A tier at the least for me.

I'm pretty sure the author has said that Aizen DOES have a bankai, he just doesn't use it because his shikai is better. Honestly how the hell are you topping Kyokasuigetu in terms of power anyways 😂
This also makes sense with how Bankai work and how Aizen is written, what with shikai representing how you present yourself to the world and bankai representing your true self. We only know aizen as an overpowered genius badass manipulator. He isn't in the business of showing anyone, even the audience, what's going on under the surface and if he did that wouldn't even add much to his character.

I would argue that the short lived Hollow Bankai Toshiro had deserves to be here. That was solid A, and I was kinda upset he didn’t get to keep it. I had been waiting for a BBS Unit to come out with it for like, 7 solid years.

I think it's a testament to Bleach's character design that it's really hard to argue putting any of them super low. Love how you guys clearly kept missing the point of ranking them on "aura" and had to keep circling back to it lol
Also just want to voice how insanely under utilized that Shinji was. He's literally like a walking nuke. You just send him in as a single soldier into the heart of enemy territory, have him activate his Bankai, and then switch to his Shikai to take out the strongest enemy still standing. Kubo just really be out here hating on the Vizards 😅😂

It’s based on how it presents itself when first used like how much raw aura it has when he activated it but no other factor really plays in. Like obviously his bankai is S tier 1000% but like imagine you didn’t know how strong he was and didn’t know what his ability did and based it off of how it looks and how much energy it radiates. That’s how we about with this
