Thank you for these lessons! My mother taught me how to knit and crochet wen I was young, but woukdn't teach me how to tat. I can see why! I didn't have a lot of patience back then, but in my 60s, I have a little more patience! 🥰

Time to look for the shuttle I bought 30 years ago.

I bought a tatting shuttle because it was on clearance sale. I'm checking out videos and planning on trying. I'm not sure if I'll get into it? But I bought my 1st weaving loom because I wanted to make dollhouse rugs and enjoyed making them. Went to the store, and they had knitting looms on sale, I thought I might be able to use them for weaving? I decided to watch videos on loom knitting, and I started out bigger, but it was not able to make the sizes for doll clothes. Then started using a small gauge knitting loom that helps a lot! I've recently started working with 1/4" gauge and works very well! I'm also experimenting with different yarn sizes. I've even been working with #3crochet threads and started trying nylon thread, which is challenging, but so far, it is great! It was on clearance sale, too! 😆 🤣 😂
Sooooo,I'm going to try tatting? 😮😊 I figured I'd give you my life story while talking about tatting? Hope I'm not too big of a pest? 😊

Hi. Thank you so much for sharing. I have a problem.... I just can't pull the thread to form the ring after 10 stitches. The thread doesn't pull... I just have to break it off. Can you please help?

My grandmother was great at this. I have a bedspread that she made for my mother and daddy while he was away at WWII.

Ugh as somebody who professionally crochets this is so frusterating to try and learn. I'm sure it's because I'm thinking like a crocheter/knitter. But damn. 😂 I keep making knots and not the ones in this video

It is very simple, once you get the hang of it.......getting the hang of it is the difficult part. I think you are expecting it to be more difficult than it is. I wish she would use bigger thread so it would be easier to see
