A coffee that crashes after first crack

    The crash could be down to aggressive use of the fan at the late stage, think of a roast in three heat transfers and three stages, 1: drum air bean, 2: air drum bean, 3: bean drum air, as you see stage three bean contribution and drum is higher, if you have too much air and low gas it will pull the heat and crash, if to reach your desired end temp means keeping ror higher before first crack and riding it a bit or even adding heat I think it would be fine, cup and test I would say. Think of Raos theory as just one tool in your arsenal, roast the bean not the probe.

      Makes sense. I think I’m afraid of the smoke infusing with the coffee so I crank that air. I’ll give this a shot

      I could try Rao's gas dip theory. But i'll wait unitl my training with Mike to see what his take is.
