My lord I love your truck - I got about the same set up Just with the 20” 2017 platinum rims on a two inch level-With the Outline of the grille color matched white with a 8” striker drop down visor with 40% tint on the windshield and 20% on the windows-I have a ‘15 extended cab 6.7 though-Going to do the mirror caps soon too and call it on cosmetic stuff- Clean truck Chris! Gotta love the Fords
Why only dig down 2’ to cut the roots, when 4’ will do SOOOO much better. Typical Justin. He’s still learning from the master of this trade. Chris from Let’s Dig 18. 🤣 Plus Chris is still trying to convince Justin to not dig over the drive motor. Oh well. Some lessons need to be learned the hard way.
Chris I just have to share this with you. My father who is 71 is visiting me for a couple weeks. While the construction works continues on my new house. He is now retired, he had his own Agri flight business for years and years. Dad always had to be the first to get anything new. Well he saw me watching your video and wondered what I was doing so I played your video through WiFi on the tv. We watched many of your videos yesterday. Well today he asked if there was more so he could see so he is watching more of them now. He just said damn if he had all that fine equipment he could sit back scratch his balls and pick his teeth while working lol
That's how I started out lol my first doze a d20p-6 and my ton truck with a trailer I'd haul bout 12 to 1700 bft that was the fun days lol lay in there
*Could someone tell me why digging over the drive motors is poor practice? The weight distribution? Isn't the drive motor end a few thousand pounds heavier so you would want the weight behind* you?
Cant get over how dry the soild got. I was waiting for Dustin to dig enough dirt from the oak that it was going to fall over lol. Do you sell the logs to the mill or do you have them milled for your use later?
Chris you did a good job of unloading the logs . When you clear land like that do you get to sale the logs are do you split with the people you are working for ????
I see but doesn't the scraping and scaring of the logs lesson the value especially if its a veneer type log? Just curious here I am from out west and of course we do things alot different than you do so forgive if I sound a bit offensive , when I was clearing and logging I used to push 48" plus dia trees 150-200 ft tall , doug fir hemlocks and cedar but always tried to use the bucket so not to dig into the the tree and lesson the value again just curious
Greetings I gather by watchinh the guy on the hoe is a new operator? I used to do land clearing and log and one thing I learned early on never use the teeeth to push, it can spliit or gouge the logs . But I can never understand in all the videos I watch everyone cuts short logs doesn't any off the mills there use long logs for lumbeer or just for pulp?
Pushing with the teeth prevents the tree slipping off either side of the bucket, hence it could come back if not past its tipping point. I always use the teeth.
Nice oak logs! Well...You sure answered my question from yesterday! Patients young grasshopper, patients! lol So does he buy logs by the pound or do you just weigh to see how much your truck is pulling? Thanks for another great logging adventure and Justin can work over drive motors on a rental!😀
letsdig18 Doesn't matter what type or condition of log? Is he a pretty close haul for you most of the time? Looks like his inventory is kinda low and probably appreciated get some logs in!
Sooooooooooo.... when is the new toy coming? Lol asked it last video. Ever since you said “no digging over the drive motors” I cringed through the whole first part.
It also puts extra wear and tear on the gears and parts inside the motor. Dont gotta worry if not your machine, but it gets expensive when its you footin the bill. Haha
I don't know what worried me more. Justin's erratic use of the digger, or your 'safety' footwear when you unloaded the logs. We call them Jandles, but I believe they are also known as Flip-Flops or Thongs. Whatever you call them, they would not be a lot of help if you dropped a log on your foot. :-(
You are professional in all that you do, i would've loved to work with you in my younger years, course you were in grade school, lol.
I love your truck. I don’t need an F250 but I keep telling myself one day...one day I’ll have one

I've seen "self check out lanes" but this is the first time, I've seen a "self check out sawmill" lol. Neat to watch.
Good job of how he dug the tree out. With the double V cut you can push ANY SIZE tree any direction you want too.
Very nice again trees to logs , logs to the mill, nice load of logs for the saw mill Chris 😲💥😲💥😲💥😲💥😲💥😲💥😲💥😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I thought he was digging a swimming pool around that oak! : )

I love the growl from the tractor

Love the videos and keep them coming
Another amazing Video! Hope all is well! Thanks
Nathan loves digging deep, so funny. He hasn't got the feel of those roots breaking yet
That's how I started out lol my first doze a d20p-6 and my ton truck with a trailer I'd haul bout 12 to 1700 bft that was the fun days lol lay in there
Nice truck dude!
Interesting to see the differences in machine operation style.
Great video Chris thanks for sharing have a great day
*Could someone tell me why digging over the drive motors is poor practice? The weight distribution? Isn't the drive motor end a few thousand pounds heavier so you would want the weight behind* you?
David Null Idlers are cheaper than drives if your gonna pound the snot out of one of them you'd pick the idlers
What Yamaha said. Its easy not to care if its not your machine.
But if you own it. You'll certainly care when you have to replace them more often.
Hydraulic driven motors cost a fortune. And drive coggs not as much .Steve in Thailand.
Chris, you can always borrow Justin's toy instead of buying another one!
I think you need to ask Tim to show you how to run that front end loader. lol
I think he's digging a pool, or a well!
How much is that timber worth, and whose pocket does it go in?
Cool video! 26,000 is just a number to shoot for, if you go over a few thousand pounds so be it! Lol Thanks for sharing!
Elite Earthworks LLC I have tags for 28k
letsdig18 ah hell your good then
Is that machine a rental? Thanks for the video.
Hell of a load and I would be looking for snakes in the scale house lol not trying to talk anything up.
Woah. That snakes comment will give me nightmares. The nastiest thing we have in NZ are the sandflies.
Cant get over how dry the soild got. I was waiting for Dustin to dig enough dirt from the oak that it was going to fall over lol. Do you sell the logs to the mill or do you have them milled for your use later?
Thats some good lumber
Chris you did a good job of unloading the logs . When you clear land like that do you get to sale the logs are do you split with the people you are working for ????
Need some air bags for the back of that F-250. Got her low ridin with them logs lol

How much would a load of logs like that bring you?
he needs to spin around that undercarrage
Is the value of the wood figured into the bid?
That machine looks like it needs a new slew bearing! How long has Justin been operating?
I can understand why they pay by the ton. But wouldn’t oak bring a higher price than pine?
Great video, BTW. 🇦🇺
I have a question. What is the average pay a year if I created a business like this.
I wanna be like you when I grow up your job is cool I’m gonna land clear with trackhoe and bulldozers
Is he digging for gold round that tree??? 😁
To be fair, it looks like most of the stress was placed towards the back as he pushed over those trees.
Damn I thought he was excavating for an undergrad bunker Lmao
Nice oak logs! Well...You sure answered my question from yesterday! Patients young grasshopper, patients! lol So does he buy logs by the pound or do you just weigh to see how much your truck is pulling? Thanks for another great logging adventure and Justin can work over drive motors on a rental!😀
bought by the ton
letsdig18 Doesn't matter what type or condition of log? Is he a pretty close haul for you most of the time? Looks like his inventory is kinda low and probably appreciated get some logs in!
Boy up here we don’t weigh wood like that we scale it with a Doyle rule
Appeared to be 29,240 lbs including the weight of the truck and the trailer. So actual wood weight probably about 17,000 lbs .
isn't digging over your drive wheels a bad practice ?
cody hyatt I
Get some air bags for the rear it helps
Remind him about digging over the idler sprockets, not the drive sprockets.
Good title, I hope you show "Logs To Lumber".
....13
10:50 sexy steel toes. Just perfect for logging...
flipflops again :( Time to listen to Ralfie May :)
boots or flip flops, dont matter if a loader runs over your foot
Sooooooooooo.... when is the new toy coming? Lol asked it last video. Ever since you said “no digging over the drive motors” I cringed through the whole first part.
its here but 3 more weeks till its ready
letsdig18 why should you not dig over the drive motors?
more weight over the drive motors so when they are at the back the machine becomes more stable
Dogging the rental equipment!
It also puts extra wear and tear on the gears and parts inside the motor.
Dont gotta worry if not your machine, but it gets expensive when its you footin the bill. Haha

if safety shoes will make a difference with logs that weighs a lot
That Ford will need new suspension now!
Did Justin use to work for your uncle?
sounds like Justin needs some new pins and bushings
Where the he'll is he going, China?
That must be some valuable realestate???
Go to Darnell Welding website or Facebook and take a look at the root cutter he makes at his shop. They work very well we run on are deere hoe.
did you get rid of the 290
yes
For another machinery channel visit (Andrew Camarata)
Like the video on Justin work .
Your Volvo or Justins
you should use a goose trailer can haul more weight and have better control over your load, but i tell you that ford truck is nothing but the truth.
You don’t have to say how much you make just wondering Because,I want to start a Business like this.
-1 million to + 1 million depending how well it goes LOL
What about a small company
That's quite a bit of weight behind a F-250 lol
Ive had more LOL
Only 3-4000 lbs over weight lol
just a number
What a waste of time, you showed the gross weight but you didn't show the tare or the net weight.
.????????????
I love the growl from the tractor
I have a question. What is the average pay a year if I created a business like this.
