I love the fact that the voice's melodies are made respecting and remarking the natural rythm and accentuacion of the words... It's beautiful, and makes you the hear the lyrics better.

If more of our people did music of these genres rather than try to be on "the next wave" all the time. And kept persistent with sounds like this rather than mumble rap and that fake new r&b we wouldn't have this problem.

Honestly, one of the best bands out there right now. Hands down. To think my love for them since hearing "Nakamarra" over a year and a half ago has grown exponentially, blows my mind.

I'll be completely frank, the only way I found these guys was in the new releases section of Spotify. Their album cover was what really interested me. That and the bizarre title. But now that I've started listening to them a bit more, I realize their music is so trippy and soulful, I just love to sit down and dance to it a bit. Has that feel to it you know? These guys deserve way more attention! They'll get it one day, I have no doubt in that. Amazing work!

I have purchased this album on cd and received it in the mail last week. This album is great!! I love this song along with some other favorites; and the whole album I enjoy playing all the way through. I blasted this song in my car while returning home from visiting London this morning. The instruments are great like always, and the vocals have improved with more harmony compared to the first album, nice. Hiatus Kaiyote, keep making albums! Thank you for posting. :)
Thank you to my late Mommy who passed in February 2015, she told me around two years ago this band when she seen you perform on a late television entertainment show, maybe David Letterman. So she suggested I take a listen because she loved the sound and definitely the vocals.
I now understand the genre “ future soul”. This is definitely it! Everyone else just hasn’t caught on to this yet. Haha peace + love

If you're looking for something similar to Hiatus Kaiyote, I'd check out Janelle Monae's album The ArchAndroid. Little Dragon's first album Little Dragon is also very good. Both have alternative r&b styles similar to this song.

those who disliked this song probably don't understand the level of genius composition this song presents. it is very advanced and some may argue it as messy, but that my friend is all about how you perceive things. this band is the best I've heard in a long time!

Here's a great video visual to go with this magnificent album: an episode of PBS' "Nova" called "Secret Mind of Slime". No, really. It happened to be on TV as I was playing this CD last night. It's an hour long and features sped-up time-lapse footage of brightly-colored molds spreading across laboratory surfaces like super-accelerated growing trees. The effect is beautiful and psychedelic and so is perfectly suited to this music. Try it, you'll like it!
