Great video Emi! I enjoy watching your videos and your language learning adventures. I’m learning multiple languages myself and it’s good to see similarities in terms of struggles and successes :) Keep up the great work!
Even though languages have kind of taking a backseat as of late, it's amazing to see just how big of a role they have had in your life. 5 years of Latin?! Haha awesome journey so far and looking forward to more!
Thanks 😘 kinda embarrassing that I had both Latin and French for so many years, but barely remember anything. I could've been a super-polyglot by now 😂 working on it tho!
My school also offered Latin and French. Fortunately, my school was binational, because it's located close to the Polish border, so they also offered Polish. That saved me xD
@@emisnikki-polygloddess Your English is advanced, and isn't influenced by living in an English speaking country or by being around a native speaker so it has a synthetic, learned from multiple influences, feel. If you wanted to be mistaken for a native speaker you could pick an accent and master it. Take the example of the Italian TH-camr Sonia. She has an almost perfect accent from the Midwest of the U.S., which is mine as well. In this video she compares her English of five years ago, when she was already advanced, with today: th-cam.com/video/O2gzBigsrxw/w-d-xo.html . Her close attention to pronunciation taught me some things about the way I speak English. As far as how she improves, she is never satisfied, she continues to use an accent coach, with whom she does specific lessons on pronunciation. She writes down phrases and records herself reading them and repeats them until she gets them right.

Where are the Cantonese resources you referred to?
Your English has a non native accent but it's not a German accent.
Haha, I get that a lot. I wonder what I'd have to improve to make it even less obvious 😬
