Thanks for picking one of my suggestions! As Ed said, gotta love that drum/cowbell breakdown in the middle of the tune as it is beyond awesome! Lots of other great tracks from this man over the past forty-plus years... all well-worthy
of either first-time discovery or an umpteenth spin!

Although the "Pat Travers" sound varied throughout his career, this particular album "Crash & Burn" had the amazing guitar work of Pat thrall this one and only time due to creative differences where "2" lead guitar players weren't necessary (as per Mr Travers himself)....."we already have a lead guitar player". Personally I'm glad this incarnation happened even if just for one album. His blues work after his rock career is superb!

The Pat Travers Band. He's a 3 piece now and plays smaller venues. He is part of a long list of Canadian Rockers. Treat yourself to Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush Live. I would start with I'm a King Bee

Thanks for doing this song!! I have been trying for MONTHS to get reaction channels I watch to do this song, such an awesome kick ass hard rockin' tune!! I finally got Dicon Dissectional Reactions to do it and I thought he was the first, but you guys did it long before Daniel did.
Don't know why you think there is three guitarists, it was just Travers and Thrall. The story behind this song is Thrall was late for rehearsal one night and stumbled in with some woman in his arm and he said he was Snorting Whiskey and Drinking Cocaine, so Pat wrote the song. I have turned on so many people to this kick ass band, I've seen PT live well over 25 times since the first time the day after my 21st B-day at a small club in San Diego. I never got to see PT before '86 in any arena or stadium setting, just in clubs. But that was the best because of the intimate settings.
Listen to Live, Go For What You Know....MARS PAT AND TOMMY, Thank you, good night everybody!!

Badass axe man..."Crash and Burn," one of the best LPs ever done. First time I've ever heard anybody say that he's got a "Southern Rock" flavor... interesting. Saw Travers, and AC/DC open for A-smith on the "Toys in the Attic" tour for $6 lol...you couldn't park your car for that anymore.

The Story goes, That Pat Trall the other guitarist show up at a rehearsal many hours late when Pat Travers asked Pat Thrall where he’d been and why was he so late, Pat Thrall replied hammered out of his mind as he showed up with a girlfriend, I’ve been snorting Whiskey and Drinking Cocaine, Pat Travers wrote the song and gave Pat Thrall a writers credit even though Pat Thrall didn’t even remember saying that. Great story when you hear Pat Travers tell it. Thanks guys

One of my favorites to play live. Great band especially live. Mars on bass is just badass.

Pat had a lot of great musicians in his band. Pat Thrall, Nicko McBrain, Clive Edwards, Mick Dyche, Tommy Aldridge, Peter "Mars" Cowling, Barry Dunaway, Jerry Riggs, Gunter Nezhoda, Carmine Appice, Michael Shrieve, Aynsley Dunbar, Sandy Gennaro just to name a few.
You should give Life In London a listen. Defiantly one of my top 3 PT songs. Maybe top 2

Travers and Thrall were a killer combo. Saw this tour as well as the following “Radioactive” tour. Still great, but the dynamic Pat Thrall was missed, imo.

Pat Travers is a beast, I've seen him a number of times live and he always puts on a good show! You guys obviously enjoy good music and asked for rocking artist requests that you may not know. I don't know if you're ready for this, so I'll start with an icebreaker. I ask that you both go in blind, without researching the band, for an honest first time reaction. This is a live session, that had some editing done after the fact. But everything you see and hear is for real. Check out, Title - JINJER - Pisces (Live Session) | Napalm Records. Mars Cowling (RIP) on bass! He played it like a third guitar with those finger runs.

Enjoyed it but I'm not sure about the analogy with southern rock. It's basically blues and that's southern. Pat does that very well. Saw him and Pat Thrall. They killed it!

Well that's nitpicking, but I get what you're saying. Glad you enjoyed.. thanks for watching 🤘

Yeah I never thought of Pat Travers as any connection to southern rock, but he is a blues man. The Crash and Burn album really doesn't have any southern rock sound. Maybe because that 3 chord progression and all of the lead fills? What's funny is I saw Pat Travers and Molly Hatchet the same concert season back then and was into both.
