  • 1938 Kustom Cadillac: Ian Gets This Caddy Ready For Victor's Arrival ⛳️ Part 2!
This project was introduced on Full Custom Garage and now a very special client is going to take it all the way to custom completion. Ian and Victor go a long way back, and Ian knows how to get ready when his old friend and client pays him a visit in his shop. Ian does a little more slicing and dicing and envisioning of his own to get ready for a creative brainstorming session with Victor.
Here are a few videos from Victor's showroom of art/cars that he and Ian collaborated on.

Happy Friday! We are SOOO CLOSE to 100K! Who is it going to be? Who will be the 100k Subscriber? You or you? We are happy to be collaborating with Victor on our TH-cam channel! Some may not love him or his ideas...but be kind, we don't tolerate bullying or negativity towards our friends here! He has a heart of gold and a showroom full of cars that have taken 1st place in many car shows! Journey with us and have fun! I linked the videos to his showroom in the description and at the end of this video for you to check out! Next up on Sunday is an #envisioning session with Victor and those of you that aren't familiar with him on Full Custom Garage, well you are in for a treat! Have a great Friday and we will see you on Sunday! ~ The Roussels 👽👽

That DuvalL windshield is definitely the way to go. I know you were concerned that it made the front end. Look too long, but I kind of like that. It’s kind of elegant. I definitely, definitely love the idea of the boat tail. There is something about a car with a boat tail that just screams elegance. I think what you will end up with is a hot rod with elegance which is something different that I have never seen. Thanks for another great video Ian. Blessings to both of you from England.

Have you thought of using the original windshield surround, but trim the top corners to follow the curve of the trim/ future glass and then lay it back at almost the same angle of the cast piece you were using as a mock up? Jamie, the sound for the broken glass is added post production by foley artists. Today it's all digital but back when westerns were popular, they used people who made the sounds. Like the sound of an arm breaking is done by breaking a celery stick.

Maybe a windshield like a Delahaye Saoutchik Roadster? Or crest in the middle and pitched down at the sides. As for bumper, center section like the Cord 810 Phaeton, triple bar tight group matching the headlight trim, sides curved and pulled back, and bumper guards to pull the 2 shapes flavors together maybe, curled back at the top of the guards to merge into the headlight trim.

Bumper sides would be single piece curvy, BTW

We miss seeing Victor with you Ian. Jamie will "ring him in"? Just kidding but can't wait for the next installment.

I'm thinking use the stock windshield moved forward and laid back. Chop it down to the hight of the auburn unit.

It's going to nice to see Victor again.... Hey why not do an episode where all the friends-clients we met back on the TV show, come to present day for a visit and chat about what they have done with the cars in the passing years..???

No windshield needs to be set forward and a little starter. Just my thoughts now let's see what victor has to say and how long before he changes his mind 😂😂 on that before number next😂😂 . Most important part is to have fun. Good luck God bless both , love watching and learning thanks

Also, if you want to keep the art deco look going, then keep those taillights, they have to be collectors items, 56-58 Corvette would look cool, though.

Ian ... the look of the front with that laid back boat tail windscreen, kind of reminds me of those cartoon ('Roger Rabbit') style old cars .... the kind where the car bends as it takes corners ...? I like the look of that long front end with the convertible top. I didn't at first ... but now to see Victor's ideas .....

The best way to customise your stuff is to make your own version of tools back 15 years ago I worked in a shop fitting workshop and we made our own press dies for different jobs as I herd your videographer say a power hammer just adapt a press break machine and then change dies for different curves old school days aluminium rubber hammer and solid bits of wood with different curve cut out in the top and just hammer it till you got what you wanted we made carts for sup markets for pushing around your children as you shop even made high end clothes racks which we threw in the sea every day for the rust look and then just clear powder coating them so many years ago I like your show you have some cool content I wish nothing else but good things for you and your projects some of the guys that I worked with back in the day we’re crazy skilled steel benders
