I haven't personally tried to cut leather with thinlits, but I doubt very much that the depth of the cut would be deep enough to go through the leather, or that they would be strong enough. They are designed to cut single sheets of light and medium weight paper. The standard dies are what you need to cut leather.

It's a piece craft foam sheet. If you search for Craft Foam on google you will find it.

We bought ours at our local Spotlight store, You will probably be able to find some on eBay.
