Laserjet Pro MFP M277dw. The options shown in the video to override this "very low" / printing in black are NOT as shown. I had to discover by trial and error, and will share here: From Control Panel --> Setup --> System Setup --> Supply Settings --> Colour Cartridges --> Very Low Setting --> change from "Black" to "Continue". You're welcome.
Yes, thanks, John. Our experience was that if the very first opportunity to intervene as we show is missed, then you have to delve into the setup as you demonstrate. Thanks again
Here is a tip for everyone who are concerned with toner reset chips and warnings: If you have windows 10, after you buy the printer, DO NOT install the provided software and driver, just plug it in to the computer via USB and connect your computer to the internet and windows will automatically install the necessary driver. And the printer will print normally without any of the low printer ink warnings. This works with any kind of HP printer, Laser or inkjet.
Hi, can you do a full video on how to refill and how to empty the waste on toner hp 201A to show the exact location of where the hole need to be done. This is for hp laserjet pro m277dw. Thanks
Great Video, Just bought the HP M277 dw Pro, after watching your video to be honest I can't wait for the Toner to run out so I can try your Refill kit... it's Epic... reminds me of my first inkjet printer with the print head being fed by ribbon tubes going to the external bottles of ink, great savings!! lol Many Thanks.
+l4weg I BOUGHT MY HP M277 DW ABOUT A YEAR AGO, AND IT WORKS GREAT; I BOUGHT ONE BLACK REFILL CARTRIDGE, BUT NOW WANT TO REFILL MY OWN. WILL YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF AND WHEN YOU DO "REFILL" YOUR OWN CARTRIDGES AND HOW IT WORKS? THANKS. MARIANNE LACKEY
So I've followed this guide but the hole is larger than the blind rubber grommets you've provided with my order. I used the 'flared' side of the copper, as per this video - was I supposed to use the narrow side? Why did I receive blind grommets instead of bung-style plugs?
After the video was published, we changed the protocol slightly. Please see page 5 on the new instructions here www.urefilltoner.co.uk/how-to-refill/hp/HP%20M252dw%20M277%20toner%20refill%20instructions.pdf on how to use the new "lie flat" plugs
Thanks for such an educative tutorial, I've checked in the amazon and found that most of the toner refills belong to different types of printers, how compatible shall this be to my HP LASERJET colour pro M277?
The video shows us printing loads of pages with the refilled cartridges, so I should say "very compatible". But we were careful to use HP M227 type toner, of course
We've got plenty of customers in South Africa. From within your shopping cart, click on "choose from more countries" below all the flags, then select South Africa from the drop down list It will calculate delivery for that weight and take of UK sales tax for you
I've just refilled my m252dw black cartridge with your kit, but it did not take all the toner. I wonder if the waste toner is full and that is why. If I wish to empty the waste, does the melt hole as shown in you leaflet need to be in a specific position as is the case for the toner fill hole. The photo of where the waste hole is is not particularly clear on this point. Please advise.
Barrie If your refill hole was in the right place AND the toner compartment was completely empty, then all the refill toner WILL fit in. The waste hole has to be in the specific position we give. The waste is a completely different compartment.
i'm about to purchase a m277dw printer. but i'm worried about the reset function of the printer's toner.. as +doctor_E stated it could be different compare to m252dw.
+NandaTemee We've got plenty of customers with the M277dw. No one's had an issue. HP haven't released a machine lacking a chip work-around since the HP 2550 in about 1999.
Hey! Sorry, we don't make the electric melting tool seen in the video any more. But we have got the "copper melter", which makes the same size hole ... www.urefilltoner.co.uk/ProductDetail.aspx?manufacturer=Hewlett+Packard&productCode=COPPERMELTER&price=2.89&description=Copper+hole+melter&engine=HPM252&printer=Color+LaserJet+M252dw%2c+M252n%2c+M274n%2c+M277dw%2c+M277n&id=2963&weight=8

I followed the video to refill the Yellow cartridge, but the printer came up, as before, with "Replace Yellow, printing in black". Which it did! Tried power off/on still the same. Tried Restore Defaults and I was then able to select Print Color but the machine still thinks the Yellow is low. Why does it not detect the level? Not that it really matters, it prints fine.
The trick is to do what we do here th-cam.com/video/y_oBMwmEwXw/w-d-xo.htmlm8s As you didn't do that, you'll have to check the menu path to get to "print in colour" and "never stop to prompt". In your user guide.
+Mod MINI +U Refill Toner I get a warning that since colour toners are low, it will print any documents in black anyway. I am afraid that even I refill it will block colour printing. My model is M277dw
+Doctor_E --------- "When the colour toners are low, it will print only in black colour" -- That's a good reason to ask if it really needs the reset chips to printer to work as normal. A good question. Someone should answer this.
Excellent. Beat the man who tries to rip us off on toner cartridges. Dirty secret - most enterprise color printers use refill bottles just like the one shown in this video. Why should SOHO use be any different? ....Does anyone know where I can buy the parts in this video in the U.S.?
Soldiering Iron with a piece of copper pipe to melt through and I bet at ACE Hardware you can find a plug to fit. I have also seen plugs on Amazon so then just buy a piece of copper pipe that will work for the plug you bought and call it good. Or pay $80 for all the inks in High Yield on Amazon and not mess with refills.

Does this work on the introductory cartridges too?
Hi, can you do a full video on how to refill and how to empty the waste on toner hp 201A to show the exact location of where the hole need to be done. This is for hp laserjet pro m277dw.

There's support for emptying the waste in the written instructions that come with the starter kit.

How long the toner lasts with this type of recharge without changing the chip. I would have reset her too
No limit

good video, sarcastic narrator... huh!
It's like surgery.
Actually easier just to use a scissors and cut the bag. Trying to get a razor in there is next to impossible.
